I ordered the iced coconut latte (large for $0.50 more, so worth it), hot matcha coconut latte (also large for $0.50 extra) and the 4 drink combo ( 2 Sunny Citrus & 2 Zen Berry). I couldn't believe how much money I saved on 6 drinks! It was incredible! Especially the 50% discount on the 4-drink combo and the steep discount on my matcha latte. Since it was my 1st time getting a drink there, it was $1.99 for my iced coconut latte. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Chinatown. Luckin Coffee is becoming such a huge hit and gradually they are popping up everywhere in Manhattan. There is like so many of them now. I just cannot believe the prices are so affordable with many discounts and promos to use on their app. They got 50% off discount and BOGO promos every day. There are currently 25 coupons on my app that I can use right now! Anyways, I was so happy the Chinatown got a Luckin Coffee spot just right on the corner of Elizabeth and Grand Street. You cannot miss it because of the signs and decor stickers and posters of bears and palm trees all over their windows. I placed my first order of a Kyoto matcha frappe because I was in the mood for whipped cream and iced matcha slush! The price 50% discounted to $2.78 and with tax, it came out to $3.03! It was a good deal! The staff placed the drink at the pickup counter with the receipt and ticket number. I had to scan my pickup QR code to pick up the drink. That is what is unique about Luckin Coffee that separates other coffee places. I got the drink and immediately ate the whipped cream with my straw. The whipped cream had flakes of matcha dust that made it bitter. It was still so good to eat that whipped cream. I loved it so much. I then had to drink the matcha slush frappe separately without the whipped cream. Either I mix the whipped cream into the drink or eat it separately. Next time I'm going to mix the whipped cream into the matcha to see how it tastes. Maybe it would be much creamier because the matcha slush without the cream was very bitter and lacking in flavor. But I did not care because I love matcha without sugar. It is more genuine like that without the extra flavors. I will be sure to come in more often to this chain to steal their prices and good deals. This is a must go to coffee chain for anyone who cannot afford expensive coffee and need a good quick coffee or refresher at a cheap price! You place your order through the app only. So inconvenient and unnecessary especially for tourists who have no plans on coming back here. Also, service was not helpful at all. My app was glitching out and would not let me submit payment and the female on the register Tuesday morning was rude. Tried Luckin Coffee for the first time after hearing so much about it and I would say its pretty good. I tried their Sea Salt Caramel Latte. The Caramel Latte was pretty good, I would recommend to reduce the amount of caramel syrup though because the original amount makes it pretty sweet. I will say the ordering system requires you to only use the kiosk or order through the app. This can be pretty annoying for those who are not tech savvy and love to use cash. I actually get Luckin Coffee instant coffee pods online, so I was tickled when I saw that Luckin had a physical cafe in Chinatown. My main gripe is with the app - once you order, it brings you briefly to an order complete page, and then it goes back to the cart and prompts you to order again. I like the smell and taste of coffee but since I'm still breastfeeding and my little one can't handle it, I can only get decaf. It feels wasteful to order decaf from a good café. Don't judge. This is definitely one of the smaller Luckin locations that's been popping up around town. Lots of promotions for anywhere between 40-60% off and $1.99 app sign-up and friend referral deals. Link your student email address to the app and it gives you a bunch of 50% off coupons. Ordered a cappuccino with coconut milk and 3 shots of espresso. It's quite amusing watching the team work; they barely talk. It's like a machine- they see an order, press buttons, add the toppings and fixins and then the person in the front scans the associated ticket for the order and places it on the counter. I imagine it's heavenly for those who have social anxiety and don't want any human interactions. Thought my cappuccino was weak despite adding an extra shot of espresso from the usual 2 that comes with the regular size. Will I come back? Possible, if there's a discount coupon and I'm in the area, but it's overall mid coffee.
