This has always been our faVorite go-to for Chinese food for my family! My kids were super bummed to see the sign on the door regarding your temp closure during this pandemic! We pray you will be able to open your doors again & that all the staff is all doing well. Our favorite's here are of course the crab rangoons, egg rolls, chicken fried rice, Sesame chicken & general tso! Can't forget their delicious wonton soup! This place is amazing. Not the best Chinese food you'll ever eat but it is still very solid. You can get really good food for very cheap. The inside is very clean and kept as well. After the COVID-19 is over I really recommend dining into the restaurant, it is usually never busy so it is nice and peaceful to enjoy your food in there. Keep it up Lucky Panda! Customer Service is key, you can have great customer service and bad food and I will try you again. But when your Lo Mein noodles is mushy and over cooked for the 3rd time and you call to ask is there a new cook and calmly explain the noodles were over cooked and they tell you "then don't eat here anymore" that tells me a lot. I will never eat there again. read more

The food is ok. I mean you get what you pay for. However, the guy that is the receptionist/order taker cashier he's one crabby, rude and angry man. He makes you want to look for another place to get your cheap Chinese food from. Beware that cannot ask or question anything because he chews your head off! Horrendous service! read more

had a request to have my noodles crispy, they forgot to do so. On top of that they had a promotion to get free egg rolls, when ordering $26 or more. They didn't include the egg rolls, cashier made a weird face when I asked for egg rolls. Flavors are not all there. read more

Was looking for good Chinese delivery after moving to Plainfield. We tried a few and they were just so-so for our tastes. We called Lucky Panda, not realizing they were a little out of our area. They were happy to deliver to us and charged us a little over the standard charge. We are very happy that we agreed! Our family of 4 always gets different things (Mongolian beef, pork fried rice, sweet n sour chicken) and they have ALL been great! We especially like the Crab Rangoon and the Egg Rolls! This place is yummy...I had the Crab Rangoon and Tofu Pad Thai! The food arrived quickly, and although I did take-out, but the dining space looked nice and comfortable. Really disappointed this time. We ordered on a Sunday shortly after they opened at 3. I was told 15 min delivery, for real! I didn't expect that delivery time, they have always been here within 25 to 45 minutes.. sooo after getting close to a hour I called and was corrected about the delivery time. I had many neighbor recommend this place to me. Sadly while the food was ok, it just was not good. The flavors did not seem balanced in the Mongolian Beef, the sweet and sour chicken was bland and the chicken was dry. We ordered egg rolls and like everything else they were not bad, they just were not good in our opinion. read more

Had lunch here yesterday. Wasn't sure how I felt about it. Looks like things have changed... Skewers on the appetizer menu seemed to be fried really hard. Then they added baby corn to the garlic shrimp. They've been my favorite since they opened so I'll give them another try. read more

SO GOOD!!!! We order all the time. The food is prepared fresh and there's never a long wait for pick up. I love love love the salt and pepper chicken and crab Rangoon's. The General Tso's, walnut shrimp, and lo mein are also VERY good. Servings are large! There prices have gone up quite a bit since we first started ordering but I'll still give it ALL of the stars. read more

What sets this place apart is the quality. Both the interior decor and the food. All the ingredients were clearly fresh and presentation was appetizing. Staff were also friendly and service was good. As for appetizers: Egg rolls were good. Hot and sour soup was definitely strong on the sour side, but I'm probably just not used to soup actually living up to its name. :) We had the Salt and Pepper Chicken and the Szechuan Chicken. One of my big complaints with most Chinese places is that the dishes are too sweet. Sadly, the Szechuan Chicken here continued this trend only all too well. As a person who loves spicy food and the flavor of the chicken and vegetables, it was a little disappointing having all that goodness overpowered by sugar. At times I felt like I was eating dessert. I'm not sure if this can be customized at ordering time but I will ask about it my next visit. The dish itself was full of high quality ingredients. I want to emphasize that. It was just overpowered by sugar. The Salt and Pepper Chicken was amazing. Not too sweet, high quality pieces of tender white meat chicken, and a pleasing combination of spices and onions. We will be coming back here for sure. Happy to have found a Chinese restaurant that values quality ingredients. read more

This place is simply not good. This was our second time taking out and this was a bigger disappointment than last time. We placed our order at 4:00 for a 5:15 pick up. We arrived at 5:15 and were told our order wasn't ready yet. There is absolutely no reason for that. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, we got our food and brought it home. Now here's the best part, we live not even two minutes from the restaurant and when we dug in to our food, it was ice cold. Not just warm or even, but ice cold. read more

This place is awesome. I have been coming to this location for Chinese food about 10 years when it was Chan's Gourmet, Chan's was good but then they sold out to new owners a few years ago and it went downhill and then I believe it closed. Lucky Panda is once again all new owners and it's is awesome, I am so glad I gave it a try. The entire restaurant has been tastefully redecorated and updated, it looks great! Everything we ordered was delicious, probably the best sesame chicken I've ever had and a side note they know how to properly cook pan fried noodles. I will defiantly be back. read more

Well, I have a new, favorite Chinese restaurant. Truly 5 stars. We decided to eat in although this restaurant has a thriving delivery/takeout service. The restaurant is immaculately clean and has a very inviting ambiance--beautiful stone tile floor, gorgeous tile on the walls, granite tabletops,etc. THE FOOD. WOW! We were going to get the lunch specials when my fellow diner went rogue and ordered the appetizer sampler. It was so delicious with skewers of beef and chicken with a tasty light sauce on the meat which perfectly complimented the meat and did not overpower it. The egg rolls, crab rangoon, tempura shrimp were perfectly fried, not heavy, just crisp and delicious. Now, back to the lunch specials. The egg drop soup had a full, rich flavor. I ordered the chicken with peapods and my partner had the orange chicken.....Amazing! Both were very tasty, but the orange chicken was outrageous. Absolutely perfect and the side of fried rice was the coup de gras to a perfect lunch. Our server was attentive, but not obtrusive. He consulted us on when we would like the main entrees started to give the meal time and space. We never felt rushed and the temperature of the food was perfect for each course due to his careful attention. Needless to say, we will be back. read more

When I first walked in, I really didn't expect much; The place looks rather disorganized. There's a table with to-go containers almost right as you walk in. They have a section of those digital slot machines, so I kept hearing digital dings and blips while waiting for my meal. When I got my water, there was a peculiar odor emanating from the bottom of the glass. I was rather taken aback by the smell. I'm guessing it was some sort of chemical used to clean the dishes. That being said, the food was AMAZING. I ordered some lo mein, and it was delicious. They also make a good egg drop soup and some excellent crab Rangoon. The Chinese takeout place became an eat-in place thanks to new ownership. No more red dirty carpets and floor to celing blinds. Everything feels brand new and they even put a nice fun logo. The dining area is clean and they even put a bubble wall decorations to create a family friendly resto. I would still consider the food mediocre and what you would expect from a Chinese takeout. But they only been open few months so I'm still optimistic they'll improve. The takeout: salt pepper fish, chicken lo-mein, kung pao chicken, shrimp fried rice, egg roll, crab rangoon, chow mein. Btw these are ordered in 2 seperate occasions. The fried rice and salt pepper fish is drenched in oil and was too salty. Quite normal but I do know couple takeout places around the area that had this dish to perfection. The chow mein chicken dish had bean sprouts that taste like it was sitting on the fridge for few days. All other dishes went fine though, lo-mein noodles taste like it's freshly made, including the kung pao dish which has enough spice to get your nasal passages decongested. Did I say they have smoothies as well. You found a new loyal customer in me, apart from the convenience factor since you guys are close by. Kudos to your friendly staff! read more

This place has the best Chinese food I've ever had. I can't get enough of the General Tso chicken. It's sweet with a little heat and it's just the best. We order here a few times a month and have always received our order quickly and 100% accurate. Every now and then they give us a little something extra. We are costumers for life. We order from here all the time and the food is decent. Today my wife placed an order and one of the items she ordered was the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce under the "Seafood" section of the menu. The description had no indication that this also has giant strips of pork in it. We do not eat pork for religious reasons and she even told the guy who took her order. Fast forward i pick up the food and start eating this item and notice its not just shrimp but another meat as well. I call the store and the guy confirms it has pork in it. I tell him that nowhere on the menu it states that there is pork in it and he says "we dont list every ingredient in our dishes"....wth????? Im like so if i order w vegetarian dish and there is chunks of meat in it, then that makes sense? this is not an arbitrary spice or pepper...this is a cut of meat that alot of people do not eat or do not expect when ordering a seafood dish!!! Then he gets an attitude with me saying come back and bring it and he will give me a refund for the $8 dish or will get me something else. I am not driving 15 min there and 15 min back to get $8. I tell him i want a refund on the phone and he says he cannot do that. Guess what, I am going to dispute the entire charge with my cc company and file a lawsuit since eating the pork caused serious spiritual harm, which could only be rectified by an expensive pilgrimage overseas. read more
