Ok for Chinese food I guess. Not anymore good than other places I've had. When you order, they tell you it comes with fried rice or white rice. I said fried rice....expecting that I would get...fried...rice. What I got was dry brown rice. I called them back and they said that is fried rice I said no ma'am that's brown looking rice and it doesn't taste good. She said you could order pork fried rice, shrimp fried rice, chicken fried rice, etc. I said I don't want any meat in it. I just want fried rice, ya know with the vegetables in it. She's like ohhh we call that peas and carrots fried rice. Really?? Who on this earth would think to order "peas and carrots fried rice"? Isn't it just called "fried rice"?? On the plus side, they give u a ton of food. That could have easily been enough for two people with some left over. The Delivery driver was extremely rude and abrasive. We ordered from the menu we were given and were charged way more than the menu said. The manager is too cheap to order new menus ! I ordered crab rangoon and was sent brunt pork rangoon that was so tough you could not chew it ! The manager was extremely rude. I will never go back or order from them again. This is my favorite place to grab my lunch when I come to this area to pick up a load. Their fried rice is absolutely delicious! Big fried rice and egg rolls fan so I can't comment on other dishes but they have a small buffet line if you like to choose your own or order off the menu. The portion size is great! I met my daughter for lunch here today. It is a neat little restaurant. Seating for about /25 people. Buffet or you can order as is normal. Buffet was limited and that annoyed me BUT I'm never surprised at burger/Mexican food joints having limited items. Why should small Asian food places be expected to have 100 items like the big places. As I said, they have a menu either those 100 items though. The buffet was really good. I've tried to find the right Sesame Chicken, and LOOKED EVERYWHERE around uptown. Hands down Lucky Rice is the most delicious sesame chicken around Dallas! We have ordered delivery from this restaurant many, many times. Food always good. Tonight, food was EXCELLENT! We had large order of 7 dishes + extra sides. Delivery fast. Food HOT like just brought out of their kitchen. These were our usual dishes so we knew what to expect, but tonight everything was SO GOOD. Shrimp really fresh, vegetables fresh and even al-dente when expected. I don't usually like their egg rolls but I LOVED these tonight. Their combo fried rice is the best I've had. I've also enjoyed their general tso and sweet and sour chicken.

My husband and I have been dining here for nearly 8 years since they've changed management. We love it! It's an amazing place and the food tastes like real authentic Chinese food. The owner is a very nice woman and makes you feel like family every time you go here. We like to go during the buffet, but their take out portions are so big for it's price. For 7 Dollars of a large fried rice or anything else there is enough for me to eat three times a day. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone read more

My husband ordered orange chicken from here and it was burnt. As if it was sitting under the "light" to keep the food hot. $7.99 for meal that has probably been sitting out all day... Unacceptable. We will not be ordering from here again. And the man that takes the orders told us it is $2.00 extra to get fried rice will vegetables, but when the woman answers the phone she says there is not an extra charge. It is important to know the prices and ask for the total before you close out your order. This is why I will stick with a Chinese Fast Food Chain like, PANDA EXPRESS!!! Lucky Rice is our go to place for Chinese food. It's nearby and gives biiiig portions without hurting your wallet. If it's your first time here I recommend ordering sesame chicken with white rice and broccoli, it's delicious. We usually order in person and we only wait for what feels like 5ish-10ish minutes. If you're going to order through phone make sure you know what you want by looking up the menu through their website. The same if you order in person they have the menu on the front of the cashier so you can look through it. I see people complaining about the food being greasy and unhealthy, it's Chinese food.... common guys... most of Chinese food is stir fried or fried which needs oil to be cooked(duh), you get what you pay for. This was our first time to order from Lucky Rice 888. It was a busy Sunday evening so it took about an hour for delivery. It was well worth the wait. Very ample portions and very reasonably priced. I consider myself a regular here. After all, it's really hard to find decent Chinese in the Cliff ESPECIALLY a place that delivers. We (me and the Mr.) probably order here at least once a month. Tonight we got the orange chicken special with pork fried rice and the chicken broccoli special with pork lo mein. (I like pork...*shrug*) with BBQ spare rib. The food is always hot when delivered and has a good amount of flavor overall. The fried rice is just "ok", the lo mein that comes with the special is pretty plain but not bad but the chicken broccoli is YUMMY...it has a good flavor and crisp veggies. The orange chicken is basic, not my fave place for orange chicken, but it's still good. The rib has a slight gingery taste that is a nice finish and the meat is not TOO tough. And the portions are big enough to where we always have lunch leftovers for the next day. Overall, the food is good, cheap, and they deliver in oak cliff so it's a fair win in my book. read more

I ordered Sesame Shrimp with fried rice and a wonton soup. I don't have high expectations for Chinese delivery but this quite horrible. The shrimp was not de-veined so they were filled with poop AND covered with a thick breading to make you think the shrimp was much bigger than they actually were. However, even the breading wasn't appealing. The sauce had thickened up and was like a gel. Gross! The "fried rice" clearly was just steamed rice that was once soaked in soy sauce, mushy and clearly never fried, without any veggies. Lastly, how does one mess up wonton soup. The flavor was horrible and the soup was greasy. Overall, I threw away all the menus I received on my door and will never order from them again. read more

The food was not good. Their fried rice was just brown in color, no other ingredients in it, like the small vegetables or carrots or peas one usually gets with fried rice. It was extremely dry, and looked like they just dipped white rice in soy sauce to get it to be the same color. The food was overcooked. I asked for a call when the food was coming, because I don't have a doorbell, and they ignored the request, and I could barely hear the delivery person knocking.
