I came here a little while back with a few friends for dinner. Had a great time at the restaurant. Very quick seating & service. - The pizza was delicious. - My friend loved her sandwich. - The salad was a pass. - I had a blue coconut drink (very much pass) Overall, I would come again for a chill hang but only if I can sit outside :)

Great service and delicious food all served in a fun and casual atmosphere. Ordered the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup for lunch. I selected the chili and a turkey sandwich. Both were delicious and served with a pickle and chips. I highly recommend Lucy's.

Stopped in two Saturdays ago for lunch with two of my best friends and our sweet little new addition. We quickly set up a tall table outside on the patio, which was nicely shaded. Our waitress did wipe down the table since it still had some water on it from the night before. She quickly brought us some menus and and we asked about what the frozen drink in the day it was. It was a watermelon rum runner, which was super yummy. The only slight mess up was that my friend ordered the mock tail of the cucumber drink, and was brought an actual alcoholic drink which was less than ideal since she had a newborn with us and was breast-feeding. The manager in server, both quickly apologized and made her fresh drink. Luckily she only took one sip but they were very kind in correcting it. I ordered the Dune sandwich and it was delicious. The focaccia bread was out of this world. I will say that the waitress also said that it was a local I made bread but when we asked where it came from, they didn't really have a great answer. would definitely return again for a lunch. It's a very fun atmosphere reasonably priced good portions and delicious.

Music club or just a super casual restaurant with live bands? Little bit of both, but probably the latter in the daytime, which is when we ducked in for lunch. Lucy's has both an indoor area and a large outside "backyard" making for something of a split personality (but in a good way). Great call though, we loved the very chill vibe and mod interior, it's a bit dim inside but has good lighting and a bar at the back wall with tables and booths. But the outside back yard is where it's at... with live music and a separate bar. It's a completely different vibe and I love it. As far as service goes, no issues other than the fact that our lass did not have a good grasp of what beers were on tap, or what their profiles were, but other than that super friendly and attentive. Foodies will want to note that while everything we ordered was right on target, it's generally elevated bar food -- so pulled pork sliders were excellent, with succulent sauce, and the cauliflower crust flatbread with goat cheese was fantastic, but just so ya know. Full bar inside and out and a free parking lot out back. Happy hour from 2 to 4, and the location off Grand Haven's main drag of Washington made it an easy call. Did not suck.

We went on 12/27/2025. It was a hidden gem! As you open the door, you step into a paradise of Christmas wonderland!! We waited 15 min or so but it was worth the wait. Soup of the day. Homemade chilli with baguette. And dunes sandwich we shared. True hearted beer and pino noir. There was a live music. Very merry. We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. Will come back for the 30th and many more.... Thank you. We had a great time.

Took a friends recommendation and headed to Lucy's in Grand Haven, worth the trip, great service , nice little place, the food was good. I would repeat.

    The Mailbag

I'll be honest, Lucy's was just OK. Nothing about this restaurant blew me away, but after a morning of walking downtown and by the beach, it sufficed. I got The Mailbag for lunch (turkey, bacon, Colby Jack, lettuce, tomato). Was it good? Sure. Was it great? Absolutely not. To be blunt, this sandwich is not worth $14. It's not event worth half that. My partner got The Pesto Chicken sandwich. He wasn't impressed. In fact, the pesto seemed nonexistent. Calling these "grilled" sandwiches is a boldfaced lie. They are lightly toasted at best. A couple other miscellaneous complaints: the Diet Coke was weirdly flat (????) and we had to ask for napkins. The fries were pretty good, though. If you're hungry and desperate, Lucy's will be fine. The staff was nice, the restaurant was clean, the ambiance was pleasant. But $45 and one mediocre meal later, I can confidently say I won't be returning.

We went to Lucy's in Grand Haven because of the photos I saw all over social media of their over the top Christmas decorations. The decor did not disappoint. The Christmas theme is gorgeous. Upside down Christmas trees, blow molds, stockings, lights, etc. So cute! The inside of Lucy's is very small. Our server was super cheerful and friendly. We all really liked our food.. a lot. The chicken pot pie was amazing. The dessert pretzels were a hit with my kids. I will say, the $160 bill before tip was crazzzzy. Three of us got sandwiches, one had soup, and one the pot pie. That is so expensive for a bunch of sandwiches. (Yes, we also had three cocktails and two mocktails as well.) Although we all had a great time, the food was very good, we just can't fathom spending that again on a dinner of sandwiches. This is no fault to Lucy's whatsoever. We saw the prices when we ordered.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and service here. Friendly waitress and music was playing outside. We ordered turkey avocado sandwich, pesto pizza, Italian sandwich, and some sliders. They all received good reviews from the teenagers and adults. I thought the Italian had great flavor and a good amount of meat. The pizza had good flavor and was a special for the day. My daughter raved about the turkey sandwich and bread. My husband enjoyed the pork on his sliders! Recommended and check out the schedule music schedule too!

And I have to say I think this is lack of singular focus on just one type of food and offering too many different items is probably what leads to some of their stuff tasting meh to horrible. First, the shareables. The elote fries were completely bland. The fries themselves were soggy and limp (they're called fries, for crying out loud) and despite there being plenty of toppings, none of the toppings worked together. This dish was absolutely awful. Their chips and guac were fine. The guac was nice and limey. The chips were actually quite crispy and well-seasoned, which made no sense to me given the fries were the opposite. Maybe they outsource their chips. Entree-wise, we had tacos, both meat and vegetarian. Meat-wise, the pulled chicken was awful, super dry meat and yet the tacos were soaked through, I have no idea how they pulled that off, so it was pretty inedible. The beef one, which is a recent special, just tasted...wrong. Not sure how to describe it, other than it just left a bad taste in my mouth. The fried fish was actually okay. For the vegetarian options, the falafel was also very off. Something weird about their seasoning, it's just not like your typical falafel so idk what's going on there. The sweet potato and seasonal veggie ones were pretty good, though. Tortillas overall were fine but when you have to double-stack them, and the fillings still soak through, making actually eating them a form of labor, something is not working with how you are building your tacos. Service - everyone seemed friendly enough. Overall - pick a different taco place to get food from.

Location Drinks My husband had the Mule and I had the Blueberry Vodka Lemonade. SOOOO good! My husband and I stopped here after a day at the beach because we hadn't been here in years! It will definitely be the last time we eat here. The pizza was cold, wet and soggy at the bottom. I ended up eating a couple of pieces around the sides, closer to the crust where it wasn't wet gross bread. My first bite I said to my husband "This tastes like Red Baron pizza." I highly do not recommend the pizza. I've had the lettuce wraps while hanging out at Odd Sides and they were delicious! The service was honestly also not great. She was friendly enough, but being attentive to guests was not trained into any of the servers working the outdoor seating area. We were one of 3 tables outside, so they were not busy. I can understand, and have total empathy for, being a server in weeds so deep it's hard to get drinks re-ordered (been there done that), but today was not the case. At one point there were 5 servers/hostess standing around the hostess stand while our drinks were empty. Wild. I saw what looked like a manger walking in the area twice (not near us) and at one point another server was talking on her phone while walking through the outdoor dining area, telling the person on the other line "I'm still at work." Physically yes, mentally no. I can't help but feel like the cold wet pizza I was less of a kitchen issue than a service issue. The outdoor patio dining area is probably one of the most tired looking on the street of downtown Grand Haven with chipped paint on stools and old umbrellas (what few there were). Kirby used to be a destination in Grand Haven for their food, service and wood fired pizzas. I'm sad about what it's become now. I'd recommend go elsewhere. There are so many great places for eats and drinks that you can pass on Kirby House. I'm holding out hope for a big comeback for this place!

That Nashville Hottie will go down as one of our top Nashville hot sandwiches ever. It may not be a traditional Nashville hot, but the flavor is absolutely phenomenal. It's ginormous, messy, and loaded with sauces that complement each other so well. Your first bite gives you a little sweetness, and then that heat starts to kick in, followed by all the other flavors coming together. So, so good! There's also a pimento-cheese-style sauce that comes with it, and that just takes everything over the top. And the pickle poppers were an experience all on their own. They were hot, crunchy, and delicious. I was worried they might have too much cheese inside, but the ratio was actually perfect. And of course, the pickles themselves were fabulous. The service was great too. The girl working was super friendly, and even though the lunch line started getting HUGE, they moved everyone through quickly and got the food out fast. Highly recommend! Ours came with neither, and even though it had two patties, we had to pay extra just to add a single slice of cheese. Dessert was the low point. We ordered the Oreo cheesecake bites and waited over 20 minutes, only to be served what was essentially liquid pudding in a shooter glass with whipped cream on top. Our server admitted, "I didn't know I was supposed to make it" -- it seems the dessert needed time to set in the fridge and was served before it was ready.
