Love the pasta dishes and the garlic shrimp appetizer. They have a very-very good margerita pizza. Good bartender and good wine. If you want a nice meal, a pleasant place to talk while eating, and are in Pioneer Square ... you should stop in. I visit Seattle at least 2 or 3 times of year and always find myself going to the same places. This visit, I really wanted to try something new and stumbled upon Luigi's. And I am so not disappointed! It was a freezing Friday night and my sister and I were in the mood for some pasta and drinks. When we arrived it was really quiet and not busy at all. Our server was great and answered any questions we had. I got the pear mule and my sister got the lemon drop (both were phenomenal). Pasta wise I went with the Rosa- a spicy vodka pasta and my sister had the Alfredo. The Rosa was absolutely one of the best vodka pastas I've ever had. Not enough good things to say about this. Great service. The chef came out and gave us the story of Luigi's and the family business. Very old Italy vibes...it was totally charming. Three of us ordered The Italian Table. You're able to pick from price points, $30-$60. But what you pick is for the whole table. Chat w/ the server about what you like or what you don't. And leave the rest to them. We chose the $40 price point and it was enough food for at least 6, I'm telling you. They put together a STELLAR charcuterie platter, pickled veggies stuffed with cheeses and Italian salami and ham. Course one and we're like...WHAT IS NEXT! Course two was a lovely shrimp diablo. Large, juicy shrimp and bits of asparagus and again...enough to feed an army. Course three was this heavenly light polenta on a strip for the meat eaters and burrata for the non-meat eaters. We were licking the plate clean (that was my friend I swear) and full to the brim. Can't forget dessert though! A heavenly tiramisu...wow. Lucky us. We left with at least three meals for leftovers, so the price point is more than fair and the food is just delicious. Well balanced between meats, veggies and cheese. This place is GOOD! Our entire family really enjoyed our food. My youngest kiddo had the cheese pizza - yummy and perfectly crispy. My other kiddo had the lasagna - super cheesy and also very good. He could not stop talking about how delicious it was. My husband loved his bolognese pasta. I had the tortellini with mushrooms and pancetta and it was *chef's kiss* - one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. It was amazing. The staff were very nice and professional. Food was delicious and servings are quite generous. i am delighted to add a new place to our family repertoire; it's hard to find places both kids approve of that also appeal to the adults. Only negative with our experience (besides finding parking in Pioneer Square) is the bigger kid was disappointed they don't have ice cream. They refilled his soda multiple times, though, so he was pretty happy. As an aside: there were a couple of very well-behaved pups drowsing near the back - I have a slight phobia and was not at all anxious about them. In fact we didn't even notice them until halfway through the meal and they were less than ten feet away. But the severely allergic/phobic may want to know. read more

I'm a few weeks late writing this post, but I need to say how absolutely delicious the food is here. My husband and I had "The Italian Table". The chef chose our dishes and let me add that it was AMAZING! The presentation was beautiful and I wish I had more pictures to share but we were too much in awww with it all. The chef came out to see how everything was and chatted with us for a bit. Super nice guy and you can tell how much pride he takes in his dishes.
