We visited on a busy morning for brunch. Services was a little slow but overall very accommodating. Each plate came with a ton of food and all very tasty. We got the banana mochi pancakes and the breakfast plate to try a little bit of everything. As the restaurant was busy it was extremely loud, metal chairs at the tables contributed to the noise. read more

Maddi was such an awesome bartender. She gave a lot of helpful insight and things to know about the island. Gave us detailed information on where we could go every night, and she was perfectly spot on. Everything she suggested was incredibly fun. Hawaii wouldn't have been as great if not for her. I can't remember what my husband had but he said it was really good. Our daughter ordered a smoothie that she didn't like and our Ricky took it off of our check. We had dinner at Lulu's in Waikiki and wanted to give a special shoutout to Josh, our waiter. He was incredibly attentive throughout the meal and really went above and beyond. at sunset, he even pulled up the shades for us so we could enjoy the view and take some great photos. The loco moco was unfortunately very salty almost like it may have been seasoned twice by mistake which made it inedible What really stood out, though, was the service. managed to grab a table for two at LULU's Waikiki, a nice bar and restaurant on beachfront view. Our table overlooked the beach, providing a picturesque setting. However, we encountered a minor inconvenience when food was left unattended, attracting a few birds nearby. Despite this, we enjoyed our time at the air-conditioned establishment. We enjoyed our meal which consisted of buffalo-flavored chicken wings, a steak quesadilla, and a side of crispy fries. So far the best food I've eaten on Oahu... I highly recommend the Lulu Moko. Josh provided excellent service and the manager was very courteous and informative when he checked in. The island theme was awesome and the view from our table was with Waikiki Beach front and center. Able to view the beach & enjoy the ambiance. There is live entertainment everyday except Tuesdays from 7- 9pm. The drinks are tasty especially the margaritas. I had a salmon filet over salad with Caesar dressing. My husband had a sesame chicken salad & another time had papaya salad. All entrees were delicious. Pleasant staff and attentive to the customers. Waiting 30 minute after placing an order is a bit excessive. But let's get to the loco moco. It is the one to get on the strip for sure. The gravy is incredible. The burrito was a let down. It really needs tomatoes inside of it because the salsa outside doesn't offer enough acid or brightness. I regret not ordering the French toast instead of the burrito because it looked incredible. Sunday, 7/27/2025 - Ate lunch at Lulus Waikiki restaurant. Address is 2586 Kalakaua Ave., Honolulu, HI 96815. This is right on the strip with all the shopping stores, across from the beach. It's on the 2nd floor with a nice view to wakiki beach. You do need to walk up some stairs. I didn't check if there was an elevator. Parking is kinda hard if you go on the weekend. Upon arrival... Pros 1) staffs were very nice. You must wait to get seated. The hostess was nice. 2) I saw there was a bar and TVs at the bar area. Plenty of tables and chairs. Lots of people eating there. There's lots of fan above going blowing air on you. 3) water tasted good. Drinks good. But the lemonade had a funky after taste. We didn't like it. 4) our foods were all good. Bbq chicken wings slather with hot sauce was perfect. Chips with beef were crunchy and good. Ahi Poke dish was good. Burger & Fries was good. 5) our server checked on in us several times. She even brought us a big jug of ice water so we can refill our water cups. 6) you need a key to unlock bathroom. The keys were hanging to the left wall on your way to the bathroom. There is a sign. If you blink, you'll miss where the key is. 7) our server was very nice. 8) they had a photographer and he took our pictures. If you buy the picture by itself, it's $10 per picture. If you buy it with the covering, it's $15. They do print the pictures right away. Cons 1) our waitress forgot to refill our coke cups. I had to remind her. 2) Conclusion Great place. Great beach view. Good thing for the ceiling fans. We were all getting stuck to our shirts. It was humid today. Staffs were very nice and professional. They were easy to chat with. Foods good. Drinks good. Except for the lemonade. We like this restaurant. read more

The views here are beautiful. The staff was also very friendly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made the overall experience disappointing. We arrived around 8:45 a.m. when the restaurant wasn't very busy, but our party of five was seated extremely close to another group of four. The two children at the neighboring table were playing videos on their phones/iPads at full volume, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal. Better than crying, but I would have more self awareness of the people around you. The service was also incredibly slow. It took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and my orange juice didn't come until the food was served. The food was not good. Everything tasted like it was fried in old oil. Considering how quiet the restaurant was and the amount of people working, the wait super seemed excessive. As for the food, it was standard American breakfast fare and didn't feel unique or representative of Hawaii. Overall, I wouldn't return here. Not worth the expensive mid food and the wait. read more

Had such a great experience here on our vacation. The views of the water/sunset were spectacular, the live music set a relaxing vibe, all of the food and drinks were great, and to top it all off the staff was extremely friendly. Fare of a quality completely unexpected from what looks like a tourist dive, everything we ate over several visits was tasty, generous of portion, and filling. From the spicy ahi to the pasta in vodka sauce, I'd recommend it all.
