Like most Chinatown cakes, it was mercifully not too sweet and topped with fresh fruit. This time for breakfast we shared the mango bun ($2.50), pineapple taro bun, green tea red bean mochi bun ($2.70), and the taro red bean mochi bun. My. husband also got a large black coffee. All the buns were wonderful. My kids loved the mango bun, which had a light mango cream, as well as teh pineapple taro bun. My favorites were the pineappel taro bun and green tea red bean mochi, which really did have a strong (and invitingly bitter) matcha taste. The mochi added surprising and joyful chewiness to the texture. We would definitely return to try other intriguingly flavored buns. For the classics I would go elsewhere that sell them just as good and at better prices. There were six tables in the back, though they were arranged in three rows of two when we arrived. We had a great view of the cakes being prepared for pre-orders and other freshly baked breads that were being laid out on the floor.

The Instagram post talked about the Baker, who has 35+ years of baking experience and the bakery good shows. They look nice and fresh. On the side when you entered, they also have Cheung Fun (my galette!!) and noodles (my other favorite)!! If you're in the area, come and check it out. It's clean and quiet. It's a mix of Cantonese and Mandarin workers in unity. I love seeing that. The customers that come in are a mix of Cantonese and Fijianese under this Manhattan Bridge store. The gentleman I've encountered here is friendly and works through the line quickly. He's also taken the time to very patiently explain to me what a couple of the items are (some of the signs are in Mandarin). Duo Tian's location on Google Maps / Yelp makes it look like it's on Broome, but it's on Elridge just south of Shu Jiao Fu Zhou. I believe they're cash only, but may need to double check me on this.

There are better egg custard tarts in Manhattan's Chinatown, but Bakery Onigiri / Ohayo bakery's versions aren't bad at all, especially considering that incessant Trumpflation still hasn't impacted pricing.
