Unfortunately we walked in to your Moorpark store specifically to order some Shrimp Plates and were told that item was discontinued. We were so shocked and totally disappointed. We were shocked and ended up ordering the Chicken Plate with a Caesar Salad. Of course extra money with no mention about that. You had me at the Shrimp but now you've lost me. I was in the Moorpark area this weekend and decided to stop by Luna Grill for a quick lunch. I've eaten at several Luna Grill locations in other cities, but this visit was a completely different experience, the food was phenomenal. The shrimp kebab had the perfect char and was packed with flavor, and my Santorini bowl was fresh and equally delicious. Everything was spot on. It was noticeably better than the meals I've had at other Luna Grill locations. The cook clearly knows what he's doing and takes pride in the food he prepares. I told the manager how impressed I was, and he shared that the cook, Marcos, has been there for years. Love this place, but just ordered food today and they got rid of the beef kabob with bell peppers and onions and now if you want veggies you have to buy a whole separate skewer. SUPER bummed about that. I was a huge Luna goer and now that my favorite plate is gone, I won't be going as much. When I asked why it was gone, the worker told me ' the recipe changed'. It was the first time I have been there. The owner was very nice and told us he had only been open 8 months. 6 of us were doing a baby shower planning and chose to eat there. The atmosphere was nice we sat out side. Ordering was easy, the food came fast, even though everything was freshly made. Everything was delicious, some of the best Mediterranean food I have had. Our dog Luna has been depressed, having to share mommy and daddy since the arrival of our three year old daughter. So we told her to make up for it, that we bought her a restaurant and named it after her! She just lit up when she saw it: A place that was hers and hers alone! The patio is spacious and dog friendly, which we told her was just for her, of course. The staff is super friendly and helpful (Hi, Joseph!), which helps sell the lie that they are there to do Luna's bidding. The food is so fresh, with such great salad options for wifey's diet needs, that we always leave full and content. But there's a problem: Signing in to the app earns you a free kid's meal Mondays through Thursdays. Now our daughter is some days eating for free, which envious Luna would never approve. It would totally give the game away should Luna ever see the receipt. Thankfully, our dog can't read, which is why I feel safe writing this review. So everyone, do us a favor if you see us at the restaurant with our dog and daughter: DO NOT TEACH OUR DOG TO READ. Thanks everyone! Lovely location and friendly staff, but the food wasn't great. I did the "build your own bowl" with salmon. The salmon was VERY dry. I tossed it out. The rest of the bowl was okay. I also got the dolma (not pictured) and was very disappointed. They are TINY and had hardly any filling. Way too much leaf with way too little filling. I tossed those in the trash as well. Luna Grill, the newest addition to Moorpark, was hands down a great place to eat. We arrived Sunday evening and were quickly greeted by a gentleman eager to take our order. He was helpful and kind at the register. I ordered a salad, and my friends got two different types of plates. The food came out in a decent amount of time and was brought out by the same gentleman. He let us know that if we needed anything, to please let him know. We left the restaurant wanting to come back. The place is spacious, clean, and bright. They have been open about a month and I've been approximately 5 times already. The service is so friendly, the staff are putting in the effort to make their opening the best at this Moorpark location. The food has been great each and every time. For a chain, I'm very happy with the portions, choices and flavors. I am not one to order a salad when I'm out but the salads are as good as the bowl options. This evening, my husband and I went to Luna Grill to enjoy another delicious meal and just as I was telling my husband how nice all of the employees are, especially the manager, Juan, I noticed a patron angrily having words at him. He was very professional, kept his composure and when he asked if she wanted his name, she stormed out of the store as she said she didn't need it. In my experience, every single time I've been to this location, the staff have always been very pleasant and do their jobs efficiently. Juan, specifically, is not only super accommodating to the patrons, but he appears to treat his employees with the utmost respect. Nothing Juan could have said or done warranted the overreaction of this particular patron. The welcoming atmosphere is led by their excellent manager, Juan, whose presence sets the tone for genuine hospitality every time we visit. And speaking of important things--they proudly serve Coke products, which for me is worth celebrating all on its own. The food is very fresh and large portions. Their build a bowls are amazing. They give you a lot of protein (falafels and chicken). The chicken is moist and the falafels were not dried out. I have eaten here a couple times now and I'm very impressed with their food. Build your own bowl is the best! I order my food on their app and it's ready when the app says it will be ready. This last time I ate here I ordered on the app with the intention of eating at the restaurant with a friend. We ended up staying for a long visit and all the staff was very friendly and came by several times to see if we needed anything else.
