The person who waited on me had great customer skills. It was a tad pricey ($14.28, incl. tax); that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Also, the tables and floor were a bit of a mess when I arrived, but it was nearly 7 p.m., so I assume they had a bit of a rush of customers recently leave. I've always had a good experience with Luna Grill and I'm wondering if this was just a mistake or a fluke.... On Friday, we ordered a family meal for delivery. My Greek salad dressing tasted a bit tart but not terrible. About an hour later, my tongue started to hurt. The next day it hurt worse. And the following day even worse. I looked under my tongue to find countless canker sores. It's now been 6 days and I can hardly eat anything at all because my mouth is in SO much pain. Countless canker sores all under my tongue and swollen tongue and bottom lip. My dental hygienist says this was likely caused by something that was too acidic or too sour and sent my salivary glands into overdrive. I'm wondering if the salad dressing needed to be shaken before poured onto my salad. Perhaps I got whatever had settled to the top (lemon juice? Apple cider vinegar?) Or maybe it was prepared incorrectly. I have no clue except that I'll be forever scared to eat another Greek salad. I'd post pictures, but you do not want to see, trust me :( read more

Food here is great!! It's fresh, flavorful, and healthy. I want to give it 5 stars, but both times I've been the wait was a little longer than I would've liked. Also, a little more expensive than I would hope, but it's worth it. The plates come with sides of rice, and a choice of grilled carrots or tomatoes. We always order the grilled carrots, and last time subbed our rice for extra salad. The plate comes with a lot of rice, so if you're not big on carbs, I would suggest staying away from the rice (huge portion!). I've ordered the chicken kabob plate twice, and loved it both times. The food and service were impeccable. As this is the time of Covid19, delivery is the only current option. We ordered through their website and the food arrived as fresh as if brought to a table in the restaurant. I phoned after I had ordered on line to inquire if they could add hummus I forgot and to check on their Covid19 delivery precautions, the Manager Jesse was amazing, he explained in detail how they safeguard our food for delivery and made sure to give us some hummus on the house! Stopped by this evening for a quick dinner with the fiancé. From the service to the food everything was great. Rhieanna took our order up front and was super friendly and quick. She also signed us up for the frequent customer card and explained how it works. Our food came out quickly and was delicious! I ordered the chicken kebob plate which came with a ton of food! The plate came with a large portion of fluffy delicious rice, salad, warm yummy pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and I opted for the grilled tomato. The fiancé really enjoyed the gyro quesadilla he ordered with a side of french fries. The food was really fresh and exceeded my expectations. Ameerah was also very friendly when I asked for hot sauce and a to-go box to take my leftovers (there was plenty due to the large portion) home. You definitely get bang for your buck here! I've had lunch here twice. I've been told to come here many times, but I wasn't interested because I dined at Chicken Pie Diner which was previously here for many years and was attached to the food and the servers. I didn't know they were closing and didn't get to do a farewell meal there. :( Finally was able to get over that loss and had the chicken, rice, carrot plate. It was good. I don't understand when people say that plate is sooo good and they get all excited, but I just don't like that much meat. I don't remember what my husband had, but he loved it. He has a lot of dietary restrictions and was able to eat here easily. Next time we came, I had the falafel pita plate. That was much more exciting to me than the chicken plate and I will order it again. My husband was a little disappointed because he said it seemed like there was less food this time. I pointed out that last time, I had a lot of leftover chicken that he ate and he actually had the same sized portion of his own food. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place . Only found it recently but have been back twice . The food is great (my hubby is Persian and I'm English) so we have the choice of good food from back home. We always take my dog and sit outside, and they always bring out a bowl of water for the dog. Just little things like that show they care. I love Luna grill so much and it's one of my favorite healthy restaurant options. But today I went in around lunch time and I asked to order a kids meal for my twelve year old daughter who rarely eats much food at all, and the cashier scoffed at me "um is she under the age of 10??? I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to ask you to order her a full size meal" I couldn't believe it!! Why should it matter what their age is, as long as I'm giving your company MY money? So I had to pay $12 for a full plate of food that she didn't even touch and I'm still frustrated over this. In a tiny Shopping center in Poway, this place is really a gem. The food was really fresh. I ordered the gyros plate which was just the right amount of food and not to salty or oily. Super healthy place. What made my first experience at Luna Grill so memorable is the exemplary service I received from Thuy. She absolutely goes above and beyond for the customers. While dining in, I noticed her greeting and saying goodbye to regulars by first name basis. I feel like giving her a special shout-out because she was bussing tables and answering the phone while other black shirt employees either stood around and played a less active role in meeting customer needs. That may sound harsh but no one else stood out and have 110% For example, I came up to the registers to ask for something while she was on the phone and two staff members were standing right next to her and she was the only one who noticed me and got one of them to help me. My husband and I finally made the plunge to give Luna Grill a try a couple weeks ago. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted by the staff. We spent a couple minutes staring at the menu looking for something that sounded good. We asked for a suggestion and Karen quickly offered a couple based on what we said we liked. My husband got the apple walnut salad and I got the Mediterranean chicken salad. Both were really good. We have been back a couple times since! The service we have received has been top notch! There is an amazing manager, I think that's her title, Thuy, wow she's lighting quick! Her up beat ,positive , caring personality is the best! The food is consistent every time we've been! The food is absolutely amazing here but the service and the Managment needs a serious kick in the behind. I have ordered on the phone many times and every time they have messed up my order in some way. I actually walked in today to order and they said it would take about 15 min. So I told them I would be back to pick it up and they had given my food to someone else. That was absolutely ridiculous that they don't check receipts and tags. These guys have no idea what they are doing back there and it's ruining the quality of the entire place. That's the last time I come to this location. Management acted like it wasn't even a big deal and didn't offer to do anything better. I told them I wasted my work lunch on them just to mess up my order. I got my money back. I won't be back! Just ordered two Bistro Filet Beef Kabob Plates as take-out from their Poway, CA location. We were offered a choice of grilled tomatoes or carrots. When we opened the containers at home, the tasty beef and tomatoes were there and they were great. Missing were the great grilled onions and bell peppers, as shown on their website menu. Big and sad surprise! A call to the Poway location revealed that they have stopped offering the onions and bell peppers, but "just haven't changed the picture or description yet, but will do so soon." So heads up, what you see may not be what you get. Great food, poor rationale. Previously happy customer now unhappy. read more

I took my 3 and 1 year old there for lunch. I asked for a high chair and they didn't bring it. They put pita bread on my entree even though I specifically asked for no pita bread due to an allergy. I also asked for two spoons since it's easier to feed my kids with them. Again, they didn't give them to me when I initially asked for these. When I went to ask for these items again they did bring them but they not once apologized for any of it. Today I went there again and waited 25 minutes for a kids meal. The people working here are super nice. The flavor is good, but the gyro meat was incredibly dry; it actually felt more like bacon than gyro meat. You can see how it curled up. My son wouldn't eat his plate which was a bummer. Not sure I'll go back. The two stars are for the people. read more

After driving to Poway from San Marcos to get my hair done, only to have the lady not schedule my appointment, I was a little annoyed and peeved and I needed something to eat.. it being a warm day out I decided on greek and I'm so glad this place was on my way home! A cute litte spot in the Target shopping center, it was very busy at lunch time with not only workers on their lunch break but moms with kids. I decided on the mahi mahi plate and an iced tea and sat on one of the single stools near the door.. Right as my food was getting to me, I needed to leave and they were so nice to put my food in a to go box. When I finally got to eat my lunch, the mahi was still moist and very delicious! A nice warm and sunny day with seating outside in the patio area outside just to be forced to leave because of rampant yellowjackets landing on the table and what's worse, the food that we purchased.
