    Margherita pizza.
    Danna P.

The food was delicious! We opted for sharing a small (not so small) Caesar and a happy hour Margherita pizza. It was very filling and we were shocked to get out of there spending just over $20 for food. The salad was fantastic with an abundance of large shaved parmesan pieces. The sauce on the pizza was perfect and the crust was light, airy and had a crispy crunch. Service was attentive. We seriously cannot wait to try other items on the menu. Yum!

Great food and service. We all love our food choices: seafood pasta, lobster ravioli, salmon pasta. Love the seafood pasta. Full of flavor. Not too busy on Friday afternoon.

Came across Luna Rossa while at the District and thought it might be connected with a restaurant with same name in Las Cruces NM. Turns out they are both independent and not affiliated with each other after all. Regardless, Luna Rossa didn't disappoint and the food was quite tasty. Since we only had the calamari which we rated a 5/5 and the Margherita Pizza on the other hand was good but not great (4/5!) The ambience of the restaurant inside and out was nice and very inviting, imho. Service was top notch and I definitely will be returning the next time I crave Italian food!! Enjoy & Bon Appetit.

The food was just okay. Ordered the lasagna which was good in taste and my spaghetti was bland with no flavor. They do ask for Parmesan that they sprinkle over the food but it wasn't fresh Parmesan that is grated in front of you. The service was friendly and a little slow to help us. Went when it opened and It took a while before someone helped us get seated. Ambiance was very quiet since we got there when it open. Overall for us it was a one and done place, I do believe for the quality of the food that it was a bit over priced and very small portions.

We came here for a late lunch and had not made a reservation. However the restaurant was empty and were quickly seated. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti. The service was excellent and quick. The food was authentic and delicious. They did mention they get busy and there's a wait in the evenings so I would recommend coming here a lunch time to have their food!

We were just leaving The District, when out of the corner of my eye I saw this Pizzaria . It was a very windy evening so as soon as we came inside and led into the main dining room ' we were greeted by bright yellow walls plush fashionable booths and they've got their own Bar. It's like being in a someone's house with a very Medium size foyer and a welcoming dining area that'll warm your heart. It's almost like it could be a hotel wish you could stay there for a night or two. There's a a section that looks like it could be a loft. With stylish itialian dishes calamari ziti , All in all very enjoyable experience.

This is absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant in OC. There's a reason I feel confident posting a takeout picture because the food is that good. You walk in and are immediately met with restaurant accolades and the host that greets you is the same one I've seen every time I've ever been here. This place has an unpretentious vibe while still being high end. In addition to consistently great service, the food has always been incredible. The fettuccine porcini al fungi is the dish I dream about when I think of pasta. I have never really thought of dropping a review because this place is my go to next to home but it definitely deserves the praise. Don't ever change Luna Rossa.

One of my favorite pasta spots in OC! This is the only restaurant that we've found that makes carbonara the traditional way! Smooth, creamy pasta with a subtle egg taste. The pancetta is cooked beautifully and not overcooked. We also had the chefs special which was a form of ravioli with a slow roasted beef. The creamy sauce was not overwhelming and was surprisingly filling. We finished with one of the bomba desserts which is an ice cream ball covered in har chocolate and cut into fours like an apple. This is our new favorite Italian spot and it was fairly priced for the quality of food!

This restaurant is located at The District right in front of the AMC theater. I went to this restaurant with a friend to try out their OC restaurant week menu. An appetizer, main course, and dessert was $45. We arrived without a reservation but were seated within minutes. During the course of our dinner, no waiter checked on us specifically so we had to wave someone down if we saw them walking around. I did ask if they had a nonalcoholic drink menu and the waiter said they didn't. He did count off some options they had like a blood orange soda but when I opted to get that, I received san pellegrino instead. I got the salad which was fairly good. It was drenched in dressing which I didn't mind and it was very filling. However the main course I got which was the pescatora pasta wasn't very good at all. Some of the clams were missing the clam meat inside and the calamari was very gummy (nearly inedible). I found myself picking around it and just eating the pasta which was bland. The dessert of tiramisu was very sweet. I feel like they added too much mascarpone on top and i wasnt really tasting the spongy breading underneath. The restaurant itself was fairly clean. Not many people dining inside when I was there and the restaurant was completely empty for the majority of our dinner (I believe two ppl came in near the end). It's unfortunate the food wasn't that great overall. Service could be better. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately the hostess experience kept it from being a full 5-star night. I had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:35, but waited nearly 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The hostess was quite rude and told me we had lost our table because we were "late," even though I had been standing there waiting to be helped. She eventually seated us at a dirty table and the overall interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Thankfully, our server Omar completely turned the night around -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful. The manager Dave was also amazing and made sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were excellent. The cocktails were delicious, the hummus with warm pita was fantastic (definitely ask for extra bread!), and the melted cheese with toasted bread was a highlight. The fries were uniquely cut and perfectly cooked, and the calamari was top-notch. The view and ambiance make this a great place to relax with friends over tapas and drinks. I would come back again for the quality of the food, the beautiful setting, and the wonderful service from Omar -- but I do hope management addresses the front-host experience, as it really sets the tone for the evening.

You can make reservations on Yelp, and there is also a Yelp live wait list. We visited during happy hour (Tuesday thru Friday from 4pm to 6pm) to take advantage of their food specials. We had the coconut shrimp ($12, but $7 during happy hour) which are always good. We also had some fries ($7, but $5 during happy hour). They were good and a generous portion. She wanted to try the vegan (cauliflower) salt & vinegar wings ($14, but $9 during happy hour). They were breaded and fried well, but had very little flavor. There was just a light sprinkle of a salt & vinegar seasoning. More salt and a dash of malt vinegar on them, or a side of malt vinegar would have made them a lot better. The happy hour food was a good value and got something in our stomachs. My first cocktail was the Wilderness Badge (Tequila, Lemongrass, Basil, Bergamot, Lemon, $17). This was by far my favorite. I love Italicus liqueur and this drink had great bergamot flavor up front with a light basil flavor from the basil infused tequila. It was very balanced and I would have never guessed this was a tequila based cocktail. She started out with the Sasquatch Sighting (Jamacian Overproof Rum, Cynar, Mango, Molasses, Lime, $17). This was balanced, with a light bitterness and light sweetness with mango flavor. Next, I tried The Lost Camper (Demerara Rum, Thai Green Tea, Pineapple, Coconut, Lime, $16). It was a pineapple bomb with a hint of coconut. I didn't like it at all and actually sent it back. I did think the skeleton arm and hand swizzle stick was cool. It is served with the hand at the bottom, but I took the picture with it sticking out. Instead, I had the Black Sands from the regular cocktail menu (Bali Hai Pineapple Rum, Diplomatica Reserve Rum, Pineapple, Orange, Guava, Lime, Coco, charcoal, $18). It is served with a flaming lime and sugar cube. I've had this several times and love it. It has a great funky complex flavor. Next, she had the Naked & Afraid (Mezcal, Campari, Smoked Pineapple, Serrano, Passionfruit, Lemon, $17). This was really good with a great complex mix of smoke and bitterness with a little heat. She gulped it down, and I was lucky to get a few sips. We decided to share the last new cocktail, the Scouts Honor (Vokda, Peach, Mandarin, Orgeat, Lime, $16) so we could say we tried them all. It looks nice with a bright orange color, but it was very sweet and peach forward with a hint of orange. Our server Crystal was great, very friendly and provided great service. We started collecting mugs recently, and we bought the Belly of the Beast Monstro mug ($62) to take home. BOTB is their Pinocchio themed speakeasy in the back (separate reservation required). They also have several other Stowaway branded mugs available. This visit was definitely better than our last few. As far as the five new Summer Camp cocktails, two were excellent, one was good, one was ok, and one was not good. The food was good, and is a great value during happy hour.
