Luna Sea offers something very few other nightlife spots at the Oceanfront do; class. Okay, so maybe not much of it it, but it is a definite notch above some of the teenager-laden spots in the area. I've been a total of two times and although both were enjoyable, they were polar opposite experiences. The first time I went was a Friday night and the place was packed. It wasn't that rubbing sweaty shoulders with the overly hairy man next to you kind of packed, but the sort that stimulates good times. The music was the expected chart toppers, not mixed to any mind blowing extent, but were all songs you could dance to, There's even a pole that lets girls (or guys) get in touch with their slightly naughty side. The second time was a weeknight and there were only a few stragglers out. I'm assuming that it was because Luna Sea isn't near any college campuses that provide thirsty crowds all week long. Despite this, I was in good company and had an extremely enjoyable night. Luna Sea is structured with different levels that give the place enough room without loosing intimacy. Luna Sea also has outdoor spaces with decks, an outdoor bar and sand pits for volleyball. The drinks are pricier if you order from the drink menu, but if you order something other than a margarita or daiquiri, there's a little more flexibility. This is the ideal place for a relaxed, but slightly mature, night out. read more

Pretty mediocre food, 11$+tax for the cheapest entree. 2 for 1 brunch was a good deal though. Meals are not very large. Many reviews talk about the servers looking like children and this is true for the most part. Upstairs is pretty funny with the strip poles. Maybe a cool bar but no idea. I've never eaten at Luna Seas before, so I can't comment on their food. I've been there many times though to see live bands for various different venues. The last time I was there was for the Local-palooza to see Amongst the Enemy (local band.) I had a blast although I was the designated driver. I got free non alcoholic drinks since I was the DD. The staff was friendly and the tunes rocked. There's a lot of space and I have enjoyed myself everytime I've been to this establishment! read more

Haven't eaten here but it's a great night-life spot! Love coming here in the summer. They have a two level indoor and outdoor area. Inside is a dance floor and bar with pool tables. Multiple bars outside and corn hole. It's a huge place and a great time to spend an evening. Definitely recommend for tourists looking for a place to party. read more

Went here for drinks at night. The place was really cool but the crowd was awful. The bartender at the front bar made wonderful drinks and they were a good price. When you walked through the bar there was an upstairs with a band or your could go out back and there's a huge sandpit for Cornhole. We played 3 games and had 2 drinks but we couldn't stay any longer. The crowd was getting so annoying. Young and obnoxious and really annoying. One kid just kept walking through our Cornhole game and he didn't even realize he was making people mad. Also, the Cornhole bags smelled absolutely disgusting. They smelled like mildew, it was really gross. The good drinks and fun games made it a good place to stop, but I wouldn't recommend it for a place to hangout all night. read more

I didn't get to see the whole place when I came here because they were having a private party upstairs, but from what I did see it seams like an awesome place! The decor is really cool and laid back. They have this awesome back patio with a volleyball net and a tiki bar. The people are friendly and the food was pretty good. I am so excited to have our next big HR FEN party here :) read more

I didn't even eat had some crappy 6 dollar drink that if I bring the plastic cup back it will only be 4 bucks after. This place was empty only seating on the patio to make it seem like it was busy. The food was pretty good, however we went at 4:30 on a Saturday and were told by the hostess outside that the dinner menus would start in about 20 minutes and were then told by our waitress after we were seated that dinner wouldn't start until 5:30. The lunch selection was pretty limited and service seemed a little slow considering we only saw a couple other people in there besides us. My wife and I walked down Atlantic Avenue in search of a quick dinner after a great day on Virginia Beach. We lucked into Luna Sea. The service was outstanding. The drinks were cold and the food was excellent. I had the chefs choice seafood quesadilla and it did not disappoint. My wife had the Tex-Mex fajitas and they were bursting with flavor. The service at this place is horrible. My group has been waiting for an hour and a half for our food while while being asked if we were good on drinks once. About an hour after we ordered the waiter came up to us and told a member of the group they were out of the item he ordered instead of telling us before he ordered it. Portions are small and over prices If is says you pay market price for a pound you don't it's only half a pound when you pay full. Don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Food is terrible, what IS the identity of this place? Caribbean? TeX Mex? Key West? Who came up with this menu? Just doesn't make sense and doesn't taste good either. We went on a Friday evening, wasn't that busy but took our food forever to arrive. Service wasn't that great for a actual restaurant involved in serving food. But clearly this is a bar and all they care about. Plates had dried food on them, had to send back, barley ate anything once we realised the sanitary issues here. We stopped in for lunch on a whim. The manager was very pleasant and took us to a nice table. It was a bit chilly and he was kind enough to redirect the air. Our waiter Cam came over and answered all our questions abt the menu. He was very patient as we were not sure what to get. He promptly brought our drinks and we ordered burgers crab dip and conch balls. All brought out in a timely fashion and nice and hot. All the food was great! After seeing a good comment on a fb post about this place, I decided to go here for brunch on the last day of my bachelorette party weekend. We didn't have to wait to be seated and the staff greeted us right away. We were able to sit in the patio area which was beautiful and so relaxing! Our waiter was very nice, was prompt and very helpful with the menu. The food came out fast and it was delicious! Everyone's plates looked amazing. We were on vacation and my Boyfriend wanted some Tex Mex. This place had some good ratings so we decided to try it..That was a terrible decision. We got the crab dip and it was very bland with a lot of cheese but very little crab. We also ordered oysters they were ok. The crab dip and oysters came out just a few minutes before the meal so we ended up with our appetizers and meal at the same time. I got shrimp fajitas and my BF got fish tacos. Both meals were very bland and neither one of us finished our meal. They also brought out my fajitas with an empty container, where the tortillas should have been. When I told the waitress she just laughed. I got a tropical margarita and it was disgusting! I hate to waste alcohol but it tasted nothing like a margarita. The food was really good. The only thing I didn't care for is if you ordered the lunch basket you didn't get fries. My fish tacos were $10.00 for just two small tacos and my husband and son ordered the hamburger basket $8.00 each and they only received the burger nothing else. read more

Such a pleasure to have visited this bar! The late night raw food bar is so delicious and the pricing is fantastic. Our bar tender treated us like family as we enjoyed several custom cocktails and such great conversation. The atmosphere here is incredible and the service is A1. This is definitely one of my favorite oceanfront bars. With 5 different bars, a sand pit, and a club upstairs it fits any and every environment. Very friendly and attentive staff. We were there on a busy Saturday night and did have a long wait for our food but the meal was good. My 8 year old ordered fish tacos and they came covered in a very spicy sauce- had to send them back and wait for a replacement without the hot sauce. I would think that a child ordering this meal would have prompted the question regarding whether or not to include the hot sauce. Desserts were very good! read more

Today i was strolling by the beach and something caught my eye. I look to my right and a see a man named "jeff" in a bright, beautiful tee shirt. Great night life spot! Ton of open air, love the two story concept with decks all around. Also I love the corn hole idea outside. This bar offers a mix of a clubish dance floor upstairs inside to a nice experience outside. The draft beer selection is actually above and beyond what I expected so I can't complain at all! Overall awesome experience, nice crowd. The only downfall of this place and the area, is it being a hassle to park. Usually it is tough finding a spot, cab, and it starts the night off in a frustrating way. read more
