Have been a customer consistently when I lived very close and moved away last year, came back for the first time this past Friday for lunch. Very very unfortunate but I got food poisoning and still ongoing at the end of day 4. Plantinum Margarita is $11 for a small, but worth every dollar! It features Codigo (one of my favorite tequilas) and is probably my favorite margarita in all of Fort Worth. Steer clear of the tamale Service was stellar. Skylar was our waitress and she could not have been more accomadating. I had my eye on one of their combo plates, but asked if I could have a puffy chicken taco instead of a puffy beef taco. I explained that I understood if substitutions weren't allowed and not to worry since there was another menu item I also wanted. She said they don't do substitutions on combo plates, but what she could do for me is create a sort of "pick any three items" type of order. We hosted a party in their private room here and the staff was an absolute mess. When we arrived they didn't put silverware or menus out so we had to ask. We had to request water and they only brought half out. Had to request multiple times for water...that's basic...We had to request chips and salsa multiple times. On top of all this, they had one server for 35 people...very poorly organized especially since we had this reservation for MONTHS in advance. Gave us a quick rundown of the menu, recommended some drinks and appetizers, and kept our drinks refilled throughout our meal. We ordered the queso and added fajita beef. The beef is so tender and melts in your mouth -- delicious!! The quesadilla was also really good, a little too greasy in my opinion, but still tasted great. The puffy tacos were also really good! It was delicious, very good, very hot very smoky~ The tortilla is huge I cut into two pieces. Overall it was super good, but I do not know if 1 serving of the fajitas was worth the money. This was my 2nd visit since 5 months ago. I ordered the barbacoa and it was not to my delight. It was very dry. My rice was dry, cold and beans were cold too; no warmth to it. I did continue to eat my food; firm believer in if you order it you eat it. I did enjoy the frijoles charros & salsa served before the meal along with the queso I ordered. Chips were fresh and crispy. My waiter Jakari was very nice and hospitable. The restaurant itself is clean and nice and has a great atmosphere. Restroom very clean. Wished my meal wasn't a spoiler. We finally tried this place last Friday night. We waited an hour for a table and I'm not mad about it. Not only was the food fantastic, I'm thrilled to see a restaurant so packed! Yaaas, Lord! Open for the win. The service was polite, quick and helpful. First test is the salsa: 100! Best salsa around. Think La Hacienda and Chuy's had a salsa baby. Next test was the margarita. I had a meltdown margarita with grand mar; also a 10/10. For dinner I copied my mother in law who always guesses best on menus: chicken flautas and one cheese enchilada with chile con carne. Winning! I will get this again and again. The flautas are solid white meat wrapped in crispy fresh corn tortillas (Gluten Free). They are served with fresh yummy guacamole, well made queso and sour cream. After about 10 mins, i asked if it was ready and he went to the kitchen. 5 mins later he brings me a bowl of queso. I said I need all of this to go. He took back to the kitchen but came back with nothing. 5 minutes later a kitchen runner brings me the same bowl. I once again said I need this to go and now I'm late. He goes to the kitchen and comes back with a sack of chips, and 4 plastic bowls. I asked him is there a to go sack. Again back to the kitchen comes throws on the bar and walks off. I had to sack it all then plead the bartender to tab me out. I was there for 30 minutes to get this to go. I would have talked to the manager but I was already so late for my event, I had to leave.
