From the decor to the nice friendly staff and most importantly the food. It was all great. I had the salmon tacos and I would definitely recommend them if you like fish. Loads of flavor and for the price they are huge! Service was quick and friendly. We also liked how many people kept coming through the doors. You had a mix of young and old. Family and singles. The bar was a buzz full of friendly folks and it was all in a relax atmosphere. A must try if you haven't tried this place out, you will not regret it. This is a cute little place kinda hidden away off the beaten path. I love the interior vibe but it was really quiet and with a light crowd. It really deserves a more raucous crowd. Anyway, super friendly server who was really upfront with my menu questions (which I always appreciate). I had the Reuben and it was very good, but needed more meat. My son had the salmon tacos and really liked them, and the other had the nachos which were delicious. We have been coming to M3 since it opened and have always enjoyed it. The food is consistently good and the servers are always friendly and attentive. However, today at lunch, we had the worst service!!! The man serving us clearly was inexperienced and knew very little about the menu or how to do his job. The woman who was backing him up was downright rude and made us feel as if we were imposing on her by coming in. If I didn't like the food so much, I would seriously never return. read more

Upon entry the frustrating part was presented, do we seat ourselves or wait to be seated. No signage to be found indicating one or the other. So we slowly made our way into the restaurant until we were spotted by staff with the obvious look of confusion on our faces, we were then told to sit where we liked. We chose to sit in the bar area so we could see outside and watch the weather coming in. The bartender doubled as our server, she was friendly but I'd say her efficiency was about 3 stars. Our food did come out fresh and we were both satisfied with our choices. I had the BLTA ($9) and the wife had the grilled cheese panini($10). Beer prices were average, $5 for a Mammoth Stout and $4.50 for Blue Moon + Alaskan Amber. Beer selection was a bit limited. I'm not sure if the wife and I are turning into beer snobs but all 3 beers that we ordered had a hint of some type of sanitizer, whether in the beer lines from the kegs or from their glasses, either way it was quite disappointing. Wines were also average price with a place this classy, also note the $10 corkage fee. Overall, I'd like to return here again to give them another try for dinner. The food was worth the price for lunch, very possible they can do the same for dinner. I just know to keep away from the beer next time. The decor in here was really nice and really makes the restaurant, if they could only find a spot for a 'seat yourself/wait to be seated' sign they'd have it nailed! I recently attended M3 for my birthday dinner with a few friends. The food was pretty tasty! The service on the other hand... Our waitress was named Samantha. She was unfortunately less than pleasant to interact with. She was very condescending and sarcastic towards our entire group, and made me feel bad for coming there for my birthday. At first, I thought she was trying to be funny, but then I realized she was not and was rather annoyed we were there to celebrate. I even thought she was under the influence at one point because of her demeanor, expressions, and attitude. She made one comment "I don't have candles, do you? Also, I am not going to sing to you." I stared in amazement as I wasn't expecting to have a candle or to be sung to - we only asked for the desert menu (which she rudely said she did not have). I do not think I will be coming back to this establishment nor recommending it to anyone else. I can get better food and service elsewhere in Reno. read more

This place is right down the street from my home and we have been there several times. The decor is so warm and inviting - very elegant and beautiful - whoever decorated has great taste. The glassware - plates and everything they use to serve the food and drinks with are so unique and very cool! The food is amazing ever time we go. I got a picture of the Mac-n-Cheese dish that my son craves (and I love to take bites off of) ... By the time I snapped the picture the rest of the family was already devouring their plates. Husband had the lamb chops and cleared his plate - older son had calamari, and I had chopped kale/quinoa salad ... All very top notch. Every time I'm in there the owners are there working extremely hard. They couldn't be nicer - always say hello and remember names and faces. So glad they opened this location. The bar is beautiful too - drinks were delicious. They also have gaming on one half of the bar which is nice for the non gamers that wish to have more of a bar atmosphere vs looking at the machines - it's the best of both worlds. We will continue to come here on a regular basis. Oh and the deserts are homemade by the owner and they are heavenly. read more

I loved this place. I loved the decor, the atmosphere, most of the food and the service. Solid 4 1/2 star experience. From the outside it looks like an upscale restaurant, but it is casual with a friendly, hipster yet cozy environment. Our server was Jorge. He was very friendly and attentive. The only thing I can really knock M3 for were the Steamed Clams with Chorizo (didn't like them, kinda of bland and tasted weird) and mushrooms on the flank steak. Other than those two items, everything else was great. The Flank steak itself was great. Salmon tacos were awesome! Fish and chips were good, cheeseburger was good. Spicy Mac and Cheese was great. Most of the food, atmosphere and service outweighed any bad. Overall this place was great. I would highly recommend it if you are in Reno. read more

Been here a few times. Having the fried green tomatoes and chicken wings. One of these days I may have to try some of the other thing on the menu. They all sound great. But I am hooked on the fried green tomatoes. They are cooked to perfection and served with a sharacha spiced aloe. Yummy! Bring friends so you can share some of the wonderful dishes. The salmon tacos are really good but a bit greasy and the deserts seem frozen but good other than that(The Key Lime is the best one!).. my daughter loves the fish and chips, nachos, and the brie brushetta with pistachios! The service is always good in my opinion, and all the waitresses are very friendly.. I am not sure about the review stating a minimum seating number requirement, we always come here as 2/3 party and always served a booth or whatever we like so maybe they were really busy then but I never have had an issue with that.. wish they would get my moscato on the menu but until then, we will likely be back again! :) read more

I've been there about 10 times, it's my favorite place for lunch, and I have yet to have the same thing. Con - Hard to get into this shopping center without a U-turn, or crossing a double yellow line, once inside the shopping center. The parking is horrendous - especially at lunch. M3 has probably 10 designated spots. Seriously?! The other stores have little reserved signs in front so you have to park in one of their spots if nothing is available - there is no undesignated parking area that is for anyone. I circle around at least once or twice every time. Interior - is nice, rustic but classy. Bar is up front with a few high tops. Tables and booths are toward the back. Host/Hostess - Guy is super nice, but when he saw I had dropped my cloth napkin on the floor, he picked it up and put it on the table, and didn't get me a clean one - that was weird. Pro - Menu is extensive, and the food is elevated rustic if that's a thing. Server is the back is great - if you can get a booth or table back there. Wait if you have to. I've sat in the bar twice and the bartender is running the bar and all the tables around the perimeter. I takes 10 min to have her greet you (at least) no water, no nothing for 10 min. We were ready for drinks and food when she finally got to us. Food takes a while, but it's worth it. But if you only have an hour - you won't make it back in time. The food is always amazing. Satisfying, plenty, and just so damn good. Had the Steak Gorgonzola pizza. Excellent. I've tried the burger. Excellent. Prime Rip Dip - melted in my mouth. The things they do well, they really do well. Can't do much about that location, but get her some help in the bar for God's sake!! She's doing the best she can, but she needs someone to greet and get drink orders. I've taken 5 people there - and they are telling their friends - so let's keep this fantastic restaurant in business! read more

Slow service, food was only okay. The decor and the size of the place was nice, but the food took forever to be made and then the server was sluggish with taking the bill to us, without someone in our group having to chase her down. I had the Atkins entree, and it was funny to see that word still being thrown around. Still, I appreciate the health consciousness of the menu and this is basically the same type of food I would be making for myself at home. It basically is meat with a side salad and tomato slices on the side. Not going to rave about the flavor because there isn't much, so usually when I go out to eat I try something a little more interesting. The rest of the menu didn't interest me much, though. The portions were okay. My brother ordered the black bean nachos as an appetizer. They were really good, and I liked that the chips were baked first and had crispy edges. The place has a slightly generic feel about it. It is actually quite huge once you start walking around and exploring. The restrooms seem like an afterthought as well as the entire bottom floor of the building. One other noteworthy characteristic of M3: they seem to have an affinity for 90's alternative rock. I felt that I had gone back in time because this was exclusively the type of music I listened to when I was younger. Slightly clashes with the rest of the ambiance, but still nice to know it's "weird" and not trying to be as generic as it may seem. read more

The environment and decor is very pleasing, but the food is nothing special. The burger my girlfriend ordered was horribly under seasoned and the fries tasted like they were previously frozen. I ordered the mushroom rigatoni which was decent, but ironically too salty given how the burger was prepared. We had two waitresses for our meal and the first was very pleasant and attentive. However she left about 1/3 of the way through our visit and the second waitress was the polar opposite. The only time she ever came around to check on our table was when we were finished and to give us the bill, despite the fact that we could see her just standing around and talking. read more

Had the house burger with Gorgonzola cheese and onion rings on the side last night. Food was all delicious. The curry ketchup is awesome. Service was mediocre. We were a party of eight and sat down around six. We did not place our order until seven. A few of us in the group made several efforts to get the waitresses attention, but she never noticed. She was also a little pushy when it came to the adult beverages. A couple of our group members don't drink (and tried to hint at that), but she insisted on trying to land the sale. Unfortunately it was exactly what I had assumed being a Moxie's restaurant. Menu with way too many items for any of them to be extremely well executed. If you enjoy the other Moxie's or places with a huge menu like the mega restaurants of Chilis or Cheesecake Factory you'll probably like it. Disappointing because the interior is quite nice and it is an addition to an area of town with not a whole lot of good restaurants. I will not be back as everything we had I can make at home better. Easily. Too bad they didn't decide to compete with actual good local restaurants than crappy national chain restaurants. Maybe that's the clientele they want. read more

The first thing that caught my eye upon entering the restaurant was the decor and ambiance. Whoever decorated the place did a fantastic job giving it a very intimate and relaxed feel. This is definitely a good place to come if you need to go somewhere quiet by yourself or need a place with a little less noise to take a date or friends. They have a decent variety of drinks, but nothing too impressive. The Alaskan Amber beer on draft is pretty good and complimented the shrimp tacos well. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. They will definitely make sure that your experience at M3 is pleasant. Please hire more help and ask before making a substitution. Finally got to try this place and I really wanted to like it... Hope next time is better. We walked in and waited for good 15-20 min, several times one of two waiters walked by and said that they'll be with us in a minute. We asked later and were told that they do employ a host... Food took way over an hour, appetiser came out probably about 5 minutes before the rest of the food. Other tables around us were getting restless too - we ended up sharing our food with some of them - that's a new one! I ordered a salad that had a certain kind of cheese on it, however, chef thought it was ok to substitute it for blue cheese. I do not eat blue cheese, however, I wasn't going to risk sending food back and having to wait another hour. My steak came out more rare, than medium well. I had 'fun' picking around my plate, and I am not a picky eater. We had to ask at least twice for a bottle of sauce. The whole experience took way too long. It was not worth the wait. New to Reno and looking for good places to eat. Found M3 on Yelp and had a fabulous meal and experience from start to finish. I had the terrific house margarita, which was homemade (no mixer) and a steal at $6. Our server, Charlotte was extremely friendly and gave us honest recommendations about what to order. The cream of artichoke soup was excellent. I ordered chicken piccata and my husband had a steak sandwich. Both were generous portions (next time we will split one meal) and had great flavors and sides were great too. To top it off Charlotte brought a key lime pie as a "welcome to Reno" gift and it was the best pie I ever had. We tend to be foodies and have no critical feedback at all about our experience, which is unusual for us. We will definitely be back and hope Charlotte will be our server! She is the bomb! read more

My wife and I had been wanting to go here but just hadn't made it a priority. I had the fish and chips. The batter wasn't thick, and it has a crispiness to it that was a great contrast to the moistness and juiciness of the fish. I have to admit, when I'm not sure what to get I think of getting a burger or fish & chips, and there weren't any burgers on the dinner menu. The serving size was 3 cod pieces, approx 4-6 oz, along with a generous serving of fries. Additionally, the tartar sauce appeared to be made in house, had a great flavor. So, if you're in the mood for fish and chips, I would highly recommend getting them here...because while the serving size isn't as big as Great Basin's, it tastes way better. My wife had the salmon tacos, and for the side she had the chicken tortilla soup. While the tacos had some great flavors the salmon was a bit overcooked, thus making the tacos a bit overshadowed by the soup. Similar to the fish & chips above, the serving size wasn't large, only 2 tacos, but again, the flavors were very good. If you're starving and want a large meal with leftovers I'd recommend other places, but if you want a satisfying meal that's an appropriate size this place is very good. read more

They have an extensive wine list and the servers have always been helpful in pairing a wine with your entree. I also admire the environmental friendly aspect they add to their business as well with menus printed on recycled paper.
