After taking my X-rays, they carefully explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I also watched a pre-procedure instruction video, which helped me understand what to expect. When I met Dr. Kim, he was professional, clear, and straightforward. He explained my treatment options concisely and also pointed out potential risks related to my other teeth. After discussing everything together, we decided to take a conservative approach -- remove the wisdom teeth first and monitor the other teeth to see if they could recover over time. I really appreciated being involved in the decision-making process. The surgery itself was excellent. It was my first time receiving anesthesia and having teeth extracted, and I can honestly say I felt absolutely no discomfort. Dr. Kim removed both wisdom teeth efficiently and skillfully. (Yes, I could hear the drill and some hammering sounds -- which was a little funny -- but I felt zero pain.) After the procedure, I followed the instructions carefully, took the prescribed medication, and applied ice as recommended. It's now the second day, and I have no pain at all -- not even noticeable swelling. This is actually the longest Yelp review I've ever written, but I truly felt it was deserved. I recently came back for a check up and cleaning and I have to admit I got the best cleaning from Cindy. She started with asking me about any concerns I had and I mentioned enamel erosion. Well what I thought was enamel erosion was a lot of tartar on the surface of my teeth and she was able to really scale through all my tartar as well as clean the stains on the bottom of my teeth and make my teeth polished, clean and shiny like a new set of teeth! Also love the front desk staff! They are always so kind and organized. I actually was able to come in earlier due to a cancellation because they had made a note of it late last year!

I had to wait six to eight months to get in to see Dr. Yu, but it was worth it. My past dentists tried to upsell me or tell me I needed unnecessary work, but that will not happen here. We felt so comfortable that we decided to do the procedure the same day. He also offered PRF plasma treatment to help support healing after the extraction. Although it wasn't covered by insurance, we decided it was worth trying and I truly believe it helped minimize the swelling and improved healing. The procedure which was done under general anesthesia only took about 35 minutes! The first few days afterwards were tough with icing, pain meds, and a liquid diet but my daughter had no swelling and healed perfectly. Very grateful for such a smooth experience. Making a consultation appointment here was super easy and I was able to come in within the week. Upon walking in, the staff was extremely friendly and greeted me with kindness. Checking in was very simple and the wait was not long. The facility overall is very clean and well kept with lots of great up to date technology. I had my consultation appointment with Jennifer and Dr. Farshidi, whom were both great. After Jennifer helped do my xrays, Dr. Farshidi said that one of my wisdom teeth was wrapped around a nerve, which made me anxious to hear at first, but he explained very clearly his strategy to keep my nerves safe and have a comfortable procedure, which put me to ease immediately. Jennifer and Dr. Farshidi also did a great job of informing me of how to prepare before my surgery and how to take care of myself after. Leaving me with all the tools needed to make this surgery as comfortable as possible. The day of the surgery I was able to check in quickly and they took me back to the surgery room. The nurses that were getting me ready were all very nice and made sure that I had an anxiety-free experience before the operation. The days following my surgery were honestly not bad at all. I had little to no pain and swelling the first few days. By day 4 post-op, the remaining pain and swelling had completely passed and I was pretty much back to normal. The post-op instructions given to me were very clear and concise which also really helped me have a smooth post-op recovery. I just came in today for my one week post-op check up with Nancy. Nancy said everything looked great and showed me how to go about irrigating my sockets. She was extremely friendly, patient, and very willing to answer all the questions I had. At one week post-op, I feel fabulous with absolutely zero pain, swelling, or other discomfort, and that's all thanks to the wonderful OC Max Surgery team! Thank you so much Dr. Farshidi, Jennifer, Nancy, and the rest of the staff here for all your kindness and support, you have all made this a very comfortable process for me and I'm so grateful. I was afraid of the pain because of all the horror stories that I have heard. HOWEVER, I had no pain at all, and I didn't need any of the pain medication that Dr. Yang prescribed, not even the ibuprofen. Plus, I was in and out under thirty minutes. My parents told me that they were shocked by how quickly Dr. Yang finished the extraction. After the removal, he gave my parents his phone number so that we could call or text him if we had any questions. When something came up late at night, my dad sent him a text. We honestly didn't expect an answer until the next morning since it was near midnight, but he answered almost immediately.

At the time I was a medi-cal patient and he was extremely nice to me so I don't believe any reviews that say otherwise about him. During my procedure I was given a blanket during anesthesia and was extremely comfortable. They did gas and an iv and when I woke up I was done. They wheel chaired me out to my car and gave me post op instructions. Dr. Yang also gives you his personal number which you can text or call anytime if you need help after the surgery. I had my wisdom teeth removed (at 25 years old) by him last year and had lost feeling in the lower quadrant of my jaw because of the way the tooth roots grew into my nerve. He told me not to worry and though sometimes patients don't regain feeling most will after a year or two. He also said he would see me however many times I wanted him to at no cost to me until I felt comfortable. This made me feel he was very confident he'd done the procedure well and cared for my long term well being. I did about 2 or 3 follow ups and he saw me every time. I have now gained all feeling back in my jaw and am so grateful to have found Dr. Yang.

What a gorgeous facility, did not feel like an urgent care nor even doctor office waiting room, and even the rooms were a great size, extremely clean and pleasant to be in. The nursing staff was very friendly (Nick and Darling) and helpful and Dr Phil was super attentive to my needs and provided excellent care with little to no wait whatsoever. As a kid going to the dentist was not a great experience, usually scary. I can honestly say that ever since meeting Dr. Stegelvik (30 years ago) he and the staff have changed all of that for me. From my regular check ups and cleanings with Nancy P, my orthodontics before getting married and my dental care over the years, I know that I will always get the BEST care and I TRUST in the staff. Today I visited MacArthur Dental Arts for an overdue cleaning and check up. As usual, I was greeted as a friend! My insurance was updated without my even asking (Thanks Tim!). Things like that are just taken care of for you!! Nancy, my hygienist, makes me feel so comfortable and is so gentle that you sometimes find yourself nodding off. Dr. Stegelvik gave me the news that I had a cavity and would need it fixed soon to include a crown. Some people might stress about that kind of procedure, but I know from my past experience that when I return for it, the entire thing will be done in about 2 hours and I will leave with my new permanent crown in place. Tim stegelvik is my DENTIST GOD! He saved my teeth when I was a teen ager. I am now 62 and I still have my teeth. I am so truly grateful that this man is on the planet! I went in to his office yesterday with a budding tooth ache. With his advice, along with his beatiful daughter, inside and out, we made the best decision for my 62 years old tooth. I had a friend tell me about MacArthur Dental Arts and Dr. Lang so I decided to give it a try. I cannot say enough good things about this dentist! Our family has been going to Dr. Stegelvik's office for years. I find the staff to be friendly and efficient. Dr. Stegelvik is conservative in his treatment practices, but recommends the necessary procedures that need to be done. I love Nancy, one of the hygienist. I've been a patient at MacArthur Dental Arts for about 3 years now. Every time I go in I'm impressed with the team and the level of care that they provide. Am I biased? Perhaps. Dr. Lange is my son in law.... BUT! family or not, I have to be confident in the people treating me, and if I didn't trust them 100% I wouldn't have allowed them to crown my tooth, or treat my sleep apnea with a sleep guard. I saw Dr. Don as an emergency after falling and hitting my teeth smack on cement. I was treated with much care and concern and professionalism. Through all the work done, Dr. Vo explained each step he was taking when working on my teeth, and worked so smoothly through transitions that I had no pain at all the whole time! I had a full days amount of work done to my teeth, but Brandy and Olivia truly helped to make me feel welcomed and comfortable considering the dentist is not always my favorite place to be. MacArthur Dental is the best.. Dr. Stegelvik is amazing, he always make me feel like i'm the only patient in the office while I'm there. He and his staff are so friendly, comforting, and professional. I just had a recent root canal, yuk.. and his assistant, Brandy, stayed right next to me the whole time to assist him and to help keep me as comfortable as possible. My boyfriend went to Macarthur Dental after 3 years of not seeing a dentist and was thrilled by the professionalism and care he received. Nancy Perlin was his hygienist and she was very caring to his needs and made him feel very comfortable during his cleaning. Love Dr Steglvik. He is always honest with me giving me my options. He is very conservative suggesting treatment which I appreciate. Returned today to start the process for another implant. Had tooth extraction and bone graft. I cannot say enough about these guys. So very nice and calming. Alondra has assisted Dr. Lange every time I've been in so far and she is amazing. Dr Lange is just great. Every time I go to MacArthur Dental Arts, Brandy makes me feel completely comfortable and well taken care of. She answers all my questions and explains everything that's going on. I got a crown today and was able to eat on the side with the new crown within a few hours. I couldn't eat for months when I got my last crown. Dr Dinh did an amazing job. I have a complex, post throat cancer, dental situation. I needed a local dentist for a comprehensive solution. Before selecting Guru Dentistry, I visited 7 other dental offices over a nearly 5-year search, and had preliminary examinations at each office, some for free and others for which I paid (including copies of x-rays and complete reports). I chose Guru for numerous reasons: location in proximity to my residence, cleanliness, spaciousness (I felt cramped at other practices), attractiveness of décor, friendliness of staff (Vanessa, Leslie and Yvette), and state of the art technology. But mostly because Dr. Vanila took her valuable time with me on three preliminary visits over a two-plus year duration (at no charge) patiently answering all of my questions to my satisfaction. When she became expert with the Yomi robotic system for placing implants, I was sold. I have never second guessed my decision. She and her excellent technicians (Juriko, Vik, and Emanuel), with Yomi's help, removed what was left of my natural teeth and placed 12 implants successfully to hold upper and lower dentures. I was not awake during the day of my surgery. Dr. Vanila and Vik helped my friend get me home, which was over-and-above the call of duty. When I re-awoke, I felt zero pain. I followed her directives to the letter. I was psychologically prepared for the radical change in my mouth. Even though I am on blood thinners for a heart condition, the bleeding ceased in under 12 hours post surgery. I had premade some soups and had all the ingredients for milkshakes, etc. I did not feel deprived. The months of recovery, allowing the jawbone and gums to heal properly and accept my implants, have gone by very quickly (for me, anyway). Guru Dentistry have provided numerous follow-up visits as part of the overall plan. Vanessa, Leslie, and Yvette have been VERY helpful in making my appointments convenient and fun. Besides Dr. Vanila, Dr. Hewko has listened to my concerns and has been of valuable consult, too. Juriko, Emanuel and Vik have provided continual expert, personable support with multiple adjustments during the process. I feel improvement during every visit. I never feel rushed. Being a patient is like being a member of the Guru family. I am nearing completion on the road to final dentures and I couldn't be happier. I will write more when all is done. In the meantime (after 7 months), I am eating popcorn, salads, and just about anything and everything again. Culinary heaven! All of my friends are amazed at the difference in my smile and the utility of having a fully functioning mouth after over a decade of limited use. Without hesitation, I heartily recommend Guru Dentistry to everyone, especially if you need to have complex dental restoration. Blessings!

We were charged over $1,000 out of pocket (more than $3,000 before insurance) for something that shouldn't have been done. They also took an excessive number of X-rays--18 before a routine cleaning, and many more afterward just to "check" their work. For simple fillings, they removed far more tooth structure than expected, leaving the tooth hollow and then recommending crowns as a follow-up. While the staff appears friendly, it often feels like they are pushing as many procedures as possible rather than prioritizing what is truly necessary for the patient.
