Fried chicken dumplings and longanisa dumplings
    Patricia T.

Had the truck at Downtown Disney. Would give it like a 3.75 -- super inventive so points for that but kind of mixed execution. Still yummy!! Fried chicken dumpling was SO GOOD!!!!! It was cheesy, chicken-y, and dough-y thanks to the dumpling wrapper. Longanisa was ??, it had a too-chewy wrapper and I didn't taste the jalapeños? but it was red inside, bonus points Overall not bad but other great Asian options exist in the area! But also for the price....great

I had the longanisa dumplings and it didn't have the toppings (shishito peppers) as advertised. I'm not sure If they changed the recipe of the longanisa because the filling was more of a tannish color and not the bright red like it should be. It also tasted more bland The rice was very oily and had very little meat. $10 for the rice and $10 for 6 dumplings. It was overpriced and the quality did not make up for it. I also got the pork belly rice and it was flavorless, it just tasted like it was boiled in tap water. The service was alright though.

Went to Radiant Brewery in Anaheim, got to try the Mad Dumplings food truck. The Longaniza dumplings were perfect, juicy and sweet. The vintage dumplings lived up to its name but with a modern twist. Would definitely get these dumplings again. Their service was A +.

In January, we enjoyed the vintage dumplings and the pork belly rice bowl from the truck. Now, the bowl from the truck tastes like the bowl from the restaurant, in a more Chinese style.

the food truck was there. Not sure if it's because it was a food truck or what but the food wasn't good at all. The turkey dumplings was gummy and bland. The " soy sauce " he gave me for dipping just taste like oil. The meat inside had no Flavor at all. One side was very crispy but the other side was gummy and not dumpling gummy like under cooked gummy. The bulgogi bowl wasn't much better. They put a spicy mayo on top which completely ruined the bowl. It doesn't taste good with the mayo on it. The meat itself was over cooked and under seasoned. Some parts of the meat was so over cooked it was crispy. The rice was probably the best tasting thing. It had a nice little flavor to it, but the rest was a big no no. Sorry not sorry I don't think I would be returning to this place. Updated: they tried to remove this remove. Listen the dumplings are not good at all.

Overall- really impressive. From food to menu to service. Ordering- ordered at kiosk outside the food truck. It was okay, but I'm old school and enjoy the person to person ordering process. Service- picking up was a little harder than the guac n roll since we have to wait at the window. So this could be improved perhaps with a buzzer. HOWEVER, the nice girl gave us a free bulgogi over rice because of some confusion so we walked away SUPER HAPPY! :D Food: 3.5/5 Fried Chicken dumplings- it's super awesome, crunchy outside, juicy chicken inside. The only improvement I would suggest is the sauce is a little bland and the Mac with chicken is also low flavor so a more flavorful sauce with some citrus, and maybe spice. The original dumplings- 6/5 so SO good. Hand folded to order, juicy and fresh steaming hot. Sauce is perfect. Super recommended.

I've actually had this food truck a while back at a nearby food truck meet. I was curious about the longanisa dumplings that were supposedly Andrew zimmermans favorite. And I remember being wowed by the unique tastiness. Fast forward a few years and I got to try it again at a work event. Longanisa dumplings were as good as I remember. It was missing the pork belly slices that usually comes with it but maybe it's because it was a work event thing. I got to try something new: the fried chicken dumplings. I didn't know what to expect, but it's literally fried like chicken lol. Comes with lime and a creamy aioli like dipping sauce. It tastes like Costco chicken bake and I mean that in a good way! It is heavy though so it's very filling. The combo came with a choice of rice bowl and I chose the bulgogi one. It was good but nothing special. I think it makes a great lunch. Can't go wrong with dumplings!

Mad Dumplings was in Huntington Beach on Thursday. Got to order their special which is 4 dumplings and a half serving of bulgogi or pork over criss-cut fries or rice. I got to order their fried chicken dumpling and bulgogi waffle fries. My goodness! These choices were DELICIOUS! Food was a bit heavy because it was mostly deep-fried. Nonetheless, saucing and marination of bulgogi were on point! If you ever see this food truck in your area, please try !

Food truck that sets up at two different spots in Santa Ana each week. Dinner hours only, which isn't ideal. Supposedly 10% off if you order through Yelp, but we didn't do that because they advertised 33% off their dumplings on their insta story. Look for a code every Thursday there! They forgot to list a code yesterday and we ended up paying full price, but the business gave us a partial refund after I pointed out the error. We tried the fried chicken dumplings, longanisa dumplings (pork) and bulgogi waffle fries. Everything was good, but they forgot the sauce to go with the longanisa dumplings, so that was a let down. What we got was enough to fill my wife and I, but we weren't stuffed by any means. It was around $38 at full price, but it's pretty typical for food trucks to charge an arm and a leg, so we knew what we were getting into there.

    Glenda N.

I had gotten the combo. You get 2 Choices . Pork belly fries and potbelly dumplings. I like to and to was a lot of food I couldn't finish it. The meat was a little cold but lots Of flavor. I wish they had another sauce. They have u a red sauce it was ok .

Found Mad Dumplings at the OC great park farmers market (you can order and eat in your car so it's still social distancing PLUS you can support your local food trucks) FUSION dumplings and more! If you order the combos you get half servings so you can try more items ---fried chicken dumplings: wow crispy corn flake crust! The chicken was super juicy ---mac n cheese dumplings: also nice crispy outer skin, goes great with hot sauce ---longanisa dumplings: a little savory and sweet! ---vintage dumplings: probably the closest to the traditional Chinese dumpling, Nice to have classics mixed in ---bulgogi waffle fries: meat had a good flavor and went well with the waffle fries and jalapenos ---pork belly rice: not too fatty! Follow them on IG to see where they will be NOTE: they also sell frozen dumplings so you can enjoy their dumplings at home! Got some longanisa and vintage dumplings in my freezer right now yum

I went to Brewery X this past weekend and the wait was 1.5 hours to get seated. I was ready to just call it a night and go home cause it was freezing and I did not want to wait 1.5 hours. The saving grace? My friend saw Mad Dumplings was there and has been dying to try it...so we waited. As soon as we got seated at our table, we ran over to Mad Dumplings. It was 9:00 p.m. and they were scheduled to be there until 11:30 p.m. that night. We were one of the last parties to get served, because they ran out of food. I suppose that is a good sign? We ordered the Combo Deal - select any 2 menu items (can select the same item twice) for $12. We got the Longanisa dumplings and the fried chicken dumplings. The Longanisa dumpling was filled with pork sausage and it came with a hot sauce. It was delicious! The fried chicken dumpling included pepperjack cheese and was a tasty American twist to dumplings. We also got the bulgogi rice bowl for $11, which was reasonable given the portion size. I would definitely eat at Mad Dumplings again. Would I wait another 1.5 hours next time? Probably, but I will most likely bring a blanket. Also, their food is made fresh to order so it does take some time for your order to be prepared.

Yum! This food truck was an option at Brewery X this weekend and did not disappoint! They had the longest line there and you could see why after trying their food! I got the combo for $12, which was perfectly priced considering what the other trucks were serving and their portions. Quick service! Great food! And very efficient with COVID going on! Give them a try :)

It's perfect for an intimate date or fun night out. I would describe it has a vinyl bar with great cocktails and a unique menu featuring Asian fusion tapas/sharable bites. Fun fact: Sonder is owned by siblings Diane and Lamson and is located right next to Lamson's first restaurant , Kaizen Shabu! This place sometimes gets booked for private events so I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation as to not wait and guarantee it isn't closed the day you want to come. There is also usually events or a live DJ later in the evenings so check their instagram to be up at date @sonderdtsa. The food here is absolutely delicious and flavorful. It tastes both familiar but also new by putting a unique twist on dishes and flavors you already know. Some standout dishes are the little gem salad, dill milk bread, and charred beets. My only complaint is that the Sichuan fries were not as crispy and I would have liked. They are also quite greasy and heavy. But I understand why it is soggy due to being tossed in the Sichuan oil after frying to achieve the numbing flavor. We also tried the black sesame walnut for dessert and it was to die for; such a toasty flavor that paired perfectly with the creamy ice cream. While there are a few staple menu items, the kitchen seems to often be coming out with different dishes so you're sure to not be tired coming here time and time again.

They were attentive and kind and quick. They brought out some birthday ice cream for the two birthday girls in the party. Ambiance was great. I was quickly sat down and brought my own pitcher of cold water. Upon letting them know, staff were quick to kindly explain my options for the meal. This spotlight let me try a signature noodle dish, side, and some of their broth as well. I opted for the oil-poured noodles with beef rib and the cucumber salad. They allowed me to select spice level on both which was nice. I also ordered one of the rock sugar pear beverages. I had actually asked my server for a cup of ice, but when I poured in some of my drink I noticed some debris of something had been on the ice. When I let staff know, they were very quick to address the issue and also brought me another bottle of the drink which I appreciated. The drink itself, by the way, was delicious. It reminded me of Korean pear drinks I've had but a little less sweet. The food also came out quite quickly. The portions of both the cucumber salad and the noodles are very generous. The beef rib isn't one of the back ribs that's mostly cartilage, but rather had a ton of meat. There were parts of it that were a bit difficult to chew, but for the most part it was quite tender. Also, I think if you ask, the staff can cut the rib meat up for you with scissors. The cucumber salad is fantastic at Six Alley. It's not only acidic and refreshing but somehow has a deep savory flavor without being heavy on oil. I was also worried about oil in my noodle dish, since some Chinese noodle dishes can be quite heavy on the oil, which was likely to be the case for "oil poured noodles". In reality, the noodles turned out to have just the right amount of oil and seasoning. The star of the show though really are the titular "biang biang noodles". They are very clearly hand pulled fresh, each having a slightly unique shape, and have a very satisfying chewy texture. The broth, while simple, had an incredibly deep and developed flavor. I'm assuming this is the same broth they use for their clear broth noodles. The food at six alley is great and the service matches it as well, something consistent with how I remember my first visit being as well. I will definitely return to try more of their menu, and am very thankful to Yelp Elite OC and Six Alley for making this happen!

Don't really recommend this place for a very large groups, but if you do plan on going with a lot of guests, I would advise to go off hours or potentially wait; it's not the largest.

My girlfriend got the Seafood Ceviche. The ceviche was pretty spicy and tasted refreshing. Unfortunately, when it came the curry dish, it was utterly disappointing. The dish comes with rice and I thought it would go well together. The omelette itself was very bland and didn't par well with the curry crab. Eventually, it was unbearable to continue eating the omelet, so I just ate the curry crab with rice. This experience itself confirms that I'd rather not come back for the dinner service. She updated us on when food was coming, was not confused about any orders, even if they were off the beaten path, and she boxed up the food, and ran our card when we had to leave, in such an efficient manner. Even though I could see she was busy with other, larger tables. And she reminded me since my items were raw, I should refrigerate them asap. That was so sweet, she didn't have to care what happened after we left lol and I know people want to hear about food in a review, but great service makes such a difference! The thing about the ambiance, everyone was there celebrating, and happy, it made it such a happy dinner. There were birthdays, and friends sharing plates, family style. It was just heart warming. Now food and drinks: I ordered a lychee martini, not on the menu, and then another martini, both were perfectly balanced. We had the infamous bread and honey appetizer, which was phenomenal! The meatballs. Which, my only qualm was, I wish they brought a cheese grater, but that's me, I love too much cheese lol I had the carpaccio, which was amazingly balanced. I loved the quality of the meat, the sauce, and arugula. I also had the salmon crudo, which I wasn't the biggest fan of. I liked the sauce, but it was a little fishy and cut thick, so chewy, and personally, I'm not a big fan of pickles. I would have liked pickled cucumbers, more. My friend had the katsu, which was a little spicy. So pay attention when the menu has a jalepeno next to it! lol All in all, it was a great experience! My only warning is that menu items change, so don't go in set on something specific. Because I really wanted the lamb. but again, I left very happy!

I've been to Ini numerous times and my friend and I recently stopped by to try their summer menu…read more The ambiance is modern, stylish, and always a great place for a date night or dinner with friends. We ordered the calamari, crab roe spaghetti, short rib gnocchi, and a yuzu rita. The calamari was crispy and packed with flavor. The marinara sauce wasn't anything special but our server recommended their house calabrian chili sauce and it was so good. The short rib gnocchi was probably my favorite dish of the night. The short rib was incredibly tender and the sauce was rich without feeling too heavy. The crab roe spaghetti was also a hit. The sauce was creamy, packed with crab flavor, and they were pretty generous with the crab meat. My only complaint was finding a piece of crab shell in the pasta which was a little unpleasant. The yuzu rita was refreshing and helped cut through the richness of the heavier dishes perfectly. Shoutout to Anthony for being so sweet and helpful throughout our meal!! I've always loved Ini for its creative menu and consistency. Can't wait to come back and see what they come up with next!

Excellent food and great service!…read more Everything was delicious. We had the beef wrap roll which were in generous size and proportion. Beef was tender. The xialongbao was excellent a and generous in proportion. Although i did not have it, My family enjoyed the cold noodles with chili oil. The chili oil complemented the al dente noodles perfectly. I enjoyed the golden beef prime noodle soup. The Beef was tender, soup was light and had the right amount of seasoning and spicynness. I wasn't impressed with the scalion pancake--it felt a little dry, a bit bland and very thin compared to those found in other restaurants. However the crispy chicken was excellent and a go-to for kids. The kid loved the drinks here such as the strawberry yakuit and the strawberry matcha iced drink. The restaurant seems always busy. The service was attentive but expect longer wait times and response when it is busy. Restaurant was clean and decorative. We absolutely recommend this place.
