I have lived near this place for how long and I never ate or been here before.? Lol I don't get out much lol. I was really sick for over a week and I haven't been able to go anywhere. I was dealing with some stuff with my medical and my best friend and her husband helped me. They invited me out to lunch and picked me up. I wasn't sure I wanted to go but then they suggested a drink and that particular day I absolutely needed one even though I don't like drinking that day it was bad news so I needed to not think. Walked in the ambiance is fun I liked the chandeliers and the mural when you walk in. We got seated right away wasn't busy was early afternoon on a weekday. I wish I remembered our servers name but she was nice. Brought us chips n salsa the chips were fresh and hot really enjoyed them. I ordered the Carnitas plate which came with this delicious bowl of beans of your choice I chose refried over black beans and rice, i asked for extra crispy on the Carnitas yummy. The flavors were not poppin but the crisp was just right. i loved the shell tortilla bowl with my beans so good and rice not a ton of flavor but still good. My friends ordered the Arroz Con Pollo. Decent price good service with smiles, they checked on us often. My friend and I ordered the Watermelon margaritas it comes with a popsicle and has Tajin on it. Probably one of the best popsicles I ever had lol mixed with the margarita perfection. I forgot all my problems for a bit then went hm and fell asleep lol but before I did that. Went for Valentines and this place was excellent. I judge mexican restaurants by the side dishes. If the beans are bad....everything here is so delish..all the way down to the salsa, which we took some home with us. Nice atmosphere and it turns into a niteclub after 9pm. read more

I went here Tuesday for Taco Tuesday with my daughter. The restaurant has a very fun, upbeat vibe. The manager Jorge greeted us, hostess Cristal sat us and our server Stephanie was very nice and professional. Friendly smiles all around made us feel like family. Such a great Mexican joint in a place where I didn't expect to find food this good. Not only was my birria burrito the perfect size, but every bite was a delight--especially with that consumé. I would put that shiznit against any other offering other Mexican places brought to bear. Sometimes with consumé it's hit or miss, but this one was more not to be missed. I think everyone else at my table enjoyed their meals too, I know they loved the chips and salsa because they all ordered multiple baskets. A friend told me about this place. It was a little out of our way to go for tacos but we decided to go for happy hour On Sunday night. We sat outside When we found out they had a Live flamico band. The service was excellent and the street tacos were were very good. The nachos were huge. But what really made the night was the band. These guys were GOOD. The parking lot is pretty big but it's shared with a few businesses so it might be challenging. The restaurant is big and clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Service is super attentive and friendly. We were never without a drink. The food is hot, fresh, and delicious. We had the grilled chicken burrito bowl and a wet carnitas burrito with mole sauce. And the dessert??? Best restaurant dessert I've ever had in my life!!! Recommended by our great waiter, Jorge...Churro pastel served with vanilla ice cream with homemade dulce de leche. Oh dear God. Hands down great value brunch for the amount of food you get. Large portions and reasonable prices for this inflation time. Some dishes were a bit salty but my meat and cheese omelette was huge and good. It came with hash brown and a little chocolate cake for under 20 bucks. read more

The restaurant is a nice place to enjoy a meal with lots of booths to enjoy your meal. I ordered the wet burrito with Al pastor and the red sauce. It looks delicious and i enjoyed it. The flour tortilla was soft. The burrito had rice and a choice of black beans or refried beans. I had the black beans. The flavor was a flavorful mix. The burrito was on the large side so I took half of it home. The waiter brought the chips and salsa to the table not long after we sat down. The waiter took out drink order and was friendly. He did a great job on keeping the waters full and checked on us during our meal. I found the men's restroom to be clean and well stocked. Downtown Fullerton has lots of nice restaurants. Upon entering the restaurant the place appears to be very clean and welcoming. Interestingly enough the greeters are all female and the serves are male. Anyhow, we were seated quickly as they weren't too busy and quickly brought chips and salsa. The chips are warm and the salsa is good. Drinks are decent and well when our waiter finally came to take our order he seemed very distracted with everyone coming and going. almost like we had to pull his face back towards our table to refocus. Pleasant but seemingly distracted by all that was walking by and into the restaurant. Anyhow, chips and salsa were very good. Drink took some time to get to us, but was good and the food. Meh.. I've had a lot better. We had the drunken shrimp and that is very simply, a scoop, if you even want to call it that. But a scoop of rice and shrimp in a bath of some sauce that was drenched in all things lemon. Too much lemon! That's was my bfs plate. As far as my plate. Arroz con pollo. Well I've had it the traditional way with the chicken mixed in the rice so this was different and again very lemony. Not too bad, but not something I would order again. So if it were for drinks and chips and salsa, I would be back. But the food.. not really. Walked out and greeted again by one of the girls. Still no mail greeters. Madero is amazing!! Super cool to find out the building has been around since 1899 - and this spot for over 15 years!! We loved their chips and salsa, queso fundido (cheese pull to the max!) and skinny margs to kick off our meal. We wound up getting the chicken fajitas and Birria taco, blackened fish taco, and fried avocado taco for our main. And WOAHH were we blown away!! These tacos were absolutely stuffed - highly recommend all 3, but it was great that the Birria taco came with a little cup of consome for dipping (or drenching, LOL). Came here a couple of weeks ago with family, and we had a very enjoyable dinner. We sat out on their covered patio since it was a nice evening and not too hot. I had the Enchiladas with portobello mushrooms and shallots topped with their red sauce. The mushrooms had a very nice texture and flavor. It came with their cilantro lime rice and beans. Both sides were pretty good. There is a large parking lot behind the restaurant and another covered lot across the street. There are lots of restaurants in this area so parking is sometimes an issue. I would do zero stars if I could. Started out with my menu being fucking stick to the disgusting table they want you to eat off of. Food was terrible. Service was terrible. Modelo on draft was undrinkable. Came here on a date and to have a good night and it was completely ruined. They also had bingo playing on the speaker the entire night. I understand that but on a Tuesday night who's going out and wants to hear some lady calling out bingo cards while they're trying to enjoy a restaurant. I used to come here back when it was a bar club, but now it's a whole different vibe. Turns out, it's actually a great spot for Mexican food. We came here for Father's Day, and honestly, everything was on point. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere--it all just worked. We had margaritas (of course), a gin cocktail, and a salad that really surprised me. It wasn't spicy, but it had great flavor. Simple, fresh, and tasty. The place feels relaxed but still has that bit of energy that makes you want to stay awhile. If you get the chance, you should definitely check it out. read more

The food is amazing here! They catered food for a friend's engagement party and the food really got people talking.

Went over the weekend and got there around 10pm. The place was pretty busy with great music playing. We got a spot at the bar and placed our coats on the hooks under it. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. We had a really good time drinking and dancing. We left around 1am at which time the place was really packed! If you go at night (past dinner) be prepared to show ID. read more

Found this restaurant on yelp and so happy we did! Hubby had the carnitas plate. The serving was huge. More carnitas than we have ever got in any other Mexican restaurant and the flavor was excellent. I got the carnitas wet burrito with green sauce which was equally delish. BUT, the food was not it. Tacos were wack, cold, and just not good. I feel as if the tacos were pulled from the leftover party food trays they had outside for a graduation party.... the tortillas were not even heated. I wanted to take my girlfriend out for Happy Hour so I did just that and I landed up finding this restaurant on Yelp. It has strong reviews and I understand why, this restaurant slapped. It started with Amber the bartender, she was amazing at her job making us feel at home. I always appreciate that, we ordered some beers and some of their happy hour specials. We ordered the cantina rolls, the madero burger and the tres street tacos. Everything was so damn delicious and the prices were great. The restaurant itself is very roomy and welcoming.
