I had the best time at Madres Brunch, not only was the staff so accommodating but they took care of us on a nice Monday morning brunch. We ended up having a fun mimosa/cocktail brunch because we had the flights, along with the coffee flight too!! They recommended the French toast dishes and the strawberry shortcake pancake, it was a sweeter dish so it was definitely a dessert pancake for me. The best brunch place for the girlies looking for a cute brunch spot

Everything was super delicious and the staff was so friendly and attentive. They did a great job at explaining everything and brought the food out pretty fast. Everything tasted so high quality. My favorite was definitely The Journey which was strawberry pancakes and not only did it look good but it tasted even better!! It was also nicely decorated inside with lots of neon signs. 10/10 I had a great experience.

My friend and I had been so excited to try this place but it was not worth it at all. I always love to support a Latino business but this one was not a hit. First the AC seemed to be on fan mode it did not feel like it was on. The space is very small and cramped. We decided to stay and let that go because we wanted to try the food but the food was mediocre. The salsa tasted like the one from the can and when it got us it was cold. The server was also not friendly at all and I get it sometimes we hate work. She seemed to just hate us. I honestly would skip this place and go have brunch at Sena.

walked here as the wait for another brunch location was too long. bright, captivating space in a super convenient location. ordered the ensenada omelette and churro french toast and friends ordered the posole, sampler toast and pistachio waffles. unfortunately, the food sounds better than it tastes. by the looks of the waffles and pancakes, it was easy to see that a lot of food colouring is being used and there's not much actual flavour. friends enjoyed the posole and we enjoyed the churro french toast. omelette was wet, which i wasn't expecting, quite thin and wasn't texturally pleasing. perhaps the stronger dishes are the traditional mexican ones. staff is friendly, however, and attentive.

This place is a cute little brunch spot, I brought both my sons. The service was quick, and polite. Very helpful with suggestions of the menu. I ordered the steak and eggs, for both myself and my son. It was decent. Definitely a place to go to if you're going to do some sort of celebration or just to catch up with friends or family.

Last weekend I came here for brunch with a group of 6. Seeing all the tables full and several names ahead of us on the list, we were prepared to wait but we had no idea that we would be waiting for 1.5 hours. Initially quoted 30 to 45 minutes, but it went so far beyond that. We realized it's a small place, but we were getting a little frustrated when they were seating parties who arrived after us because they had the right number of people to occupy the table(s). Sometimes it was parties of 4, then 2, and even 10. An easy solution would have been to move or separate tables to seat us within a reasonable time. So with that being said, I would recommend going super early (before 10 am) or late (after 1 pm) AND do NOT go in a party of 6! Now, the positive! The inside decor is so colorful and cute. Our server was super nice and efficient. We had drinks and order taken in no time! All the food dishes had lovely presentations and were tasty. There was also a virtual DJ playing some tunes up on the screen that created some nice ambiance. While the dining experience was pleasant, the 1.5 hour wait for a table was not. Therefore, I would not return unless I happened to walk by and saw empty tables. But walk by and maybe give it a try.

    Steak chilaquiles

Super cute breakfast/brunch spot! The club sandwich was AMAZING and seriously huge & so filling! The chilaquiles were spicy but so delicious! They came with beans, eggs, and steak, and the steak was cooked perfectly. And the lattes were SO good! We tried the Abuelita latte and a white mocha with oat milk, and both were delicious. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! SERVICE WAS AMAZING Servers name was Adrina The general manager Steven was so sweet and made us feel super comfortable especially with our daughter who was being fussy!

Atmosphere was comfortable and cute. Food? I'll pass. We ordered the Chicken club and a breakfast combo. Sandwich was a disaster. WAY too big to bite into so I took one bread out and it all came apart. Did not enjoy it. Came with fries .. soggy.. and no ranch to go with them!! Breakfast plate.. just OK. Potatoes were cooked well but so bland. No flavor. The pancake? Absolutely terrible. Especially for a BRUNCH spot. Flat and starchy and no taste. Also, everything was WAY OVERPRICED! A bottle of Coke was $6!!!! Not a return costumer.

It is located in downtown Monrovia on Lemon St. Parking is on the street or behind the shops. The restaurant is very colorful and small. When you check in for your table, the minutes they quote you is real. I saw a table leave, got cleaned up, and it sat empty for the duration of my wait time (30 min). Im assuming it is allowing the kitchen to catch up on their orders. The food was delicious and the price is moderate for the quality. I enjoyed the food that was ordered and I will need to come back and try their other items.

The restaurant is located in old town Monrovia. There are various parking lots and street parking. Can get busy. I had to park a block away. Very cute cafe. I love all the decor and wall signs. I tried the special coffee flight (pistachio, horchata, marzapan and abuelita). All very tasty but I think my favorite was the marzapan. I also tried the birria omelette and so nice of them to let me replace the beans with salad for my dietary preference. My friend ordered the combo toast. The food was a little on the bland side but maybe next time I try their sweet dishes. Drinks were great tho. The lady who helped us was also a sweet. So nice and so helpful. Lots of indoor tables. Nice vibes.

Had such a great brunch experience here! We ordered the French toast, chilaquiles, and two hot coffees, and everything was delicious. The food came out great and the service really stood out. The staff was so attentive and consistently checked up on us to make sure we were doing okay and had everything we needed. I even asked if they could reheat and refill my coffee, and they happily did without making me feel uncomfortable at all, which I really appreciated. Overall, such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Great food, amazing service, and a spot I would definitely recommend to others. Looking forward to coming back again!

Cute new brunch location in Monrovia! The staff was so incredibly friendly and I love the interior decor. They have so many drinks you can choose from, from mimosas to horchata to coffee. I tried the pistachio latte half sweet and it was still too sweet for me, so next time, I may just need to stick to a regular non sugar beverage. My bestie got the iced matcha with oat milk and said it was creamy and flavorful. We shared the salsa verde chilaquiles and the churro french toast. Both were delicious. Will be back next time I'm in the area. They have so many locations, check them out!

My daughter and I walked into Madres for a late Friday brunch. We were promptly seated, given menus and water. We split the Nutella French toast and the chilaquiles omelette, to enjoy both savory and sweet dishes. I had the house coffee and my daughter had the iced vanilla cold brew coffee, which she described as delectable. The Nutella French toast was quite thick slices of bread dipped in cinnamon egg batter, topped with a generous slathering of Nutella and grilled plantains. The chilango omelette was a generous portion of green chilaquiles, topped with sour cream and red onions. Our server was attentive and friendly. My coffee was nothing to brag about, it had bitter undertones. Overall it was a nice little breakfast place on the pricier side.

Even though the place was buzzing with energy and clearly a local favorite, the team handled the weekend crowd seamlessly. The staff was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and fast, making the entire experience feel smooth from start to finish. Since there were five of us, we ordered a variety of dishes to share family-style, which turned out to be the best decision. The absolute star of the table was the pancakes--they are truly outstanding! They nailed both the texture and the flavor: golden on the outside, insanely fluffy on the inside, and rich without feeling overly heavy. The waffles were equally delicious, holding a fantastic crisp on the edges while remaining light in the center. To top it all off, the drink selection was top-tier. Whether you get their specialty coffees or refreshing iced beverages, or even hot tea. Every drink was crafted with care and tasted wonderful alongside the sweet and savory brunch items. It's rare to find a busy weekend brunch spot where both the food and the service shine this brightly. We will definitely be back!

We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars. They have a very good sized cocktail and food menu, as well as many beers on tap. They also have happy hour specials. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Molcajete: 4/5 A favorite at our table that was filled with so many protein options and a nice salsa to pair with. We loved the chicken, chorizo, and the queso!! The only reason it got a 4/5 was because the steak was waaaay too salty which made it hard to enjoy. The shrimp was a nice touch, also not too fishy and the bacon paired nicely.
