The lemonade was really interesting had a coconut milk base with strawberries in it, which gave it a creamy texture with a sweet finish, definitely not your conventional lemonade but it is still good. It kind of rides this line of being sweet and sour but instead of being harmonized it feels a bit like a tug of war. For the sandwich, the bread had a perfect milky/pillowy texture and gave a Texas toast vibe. The meat was very flavorful and all the ingredients were cooked well and gave the sandwich a dynamic range of texture from crunchy with the chicharons and bacon, to soft with the tender meat. The consume supplied as well was very standard but done well. The potatoes were done perfectly where they had a nice golden crust on the outside with a flufffy soft yellow inside texture. Service - the service was quick and efficient, but I ordered the golden bowl for takeout for my mother which I think was supposed to have salmon in it but there was no salmon, and the portion was extremely smaller than what I expected which is disappointing. Just finished eating here. I was so disappointed with the service. When we arrived, there was no hostess, no list, and an entryway full of people. We were told by other waiting customers that they were waiting as well. We were wrongly seated, because they had forgetting there was a party ahead of us. We waited 30 minutes to be seated after being told it was a 10 minute wait. Once we were finally seated, it took another 20 minutes to order drinks. One of our plates came out wrong, and they admitted to bringing the wrong plate. They confirmed our order, then proceeded to bring out the correct plate wrongly. It was a constant battle of trying to get someone's attention and waiting for items that were ordered. I have been to this location before and never experienced this type of service. The ambiance is great and there are multiple locations. I'm not sure if people called out and they were short-staffed, but there was no transparency to the situation, no apologies, and no compensation in any format. We were never checked on. The morning after going out all night for a concert made me want some chilaquiles. The first place I thought of going was Madres because I'd tried a sampler from them before and knew it was good. I arrived around the time they opened so there was no wait and I was probably the first customer of the day. I got their rojo chilaquiles which the server explained would be the spicier one. Kevin was the best server we could have asked for!! We came in on a Sunday early afternoon (right before noon) and we were able to sit as a party of 2 immediately. We wanted to share a drink and I asked Kevin how the pistachio lattes were. He mentioned how tasty they were and it tastes best as a blended latte (in his opinion). But he was soooooo right. Next is the food. We were torn between all three chilaquiles and again Kevin to our rescue. He told us his order (Madres chilaquiles with green sauce) which was the best flavor combo. The strawberry flavoring was very strong and had a very light horchata taste. The cup was filled to the brim with ice so there wasn't too much to drink. However, the presentation was nice as they added a cinnamon stick and strawberry bits on top. (3.5/5) **Huevos Rancheros: I was slightly disappointed by the presentation because it looked very messy. The portions were honestly very small for the premium price of $19. I did like the baked potato on the side though. I wish it was more flavorful. Very disappointed with the quality of this dish. (2/5) **Popeye Omelette: My mom really liked this dish and the presentation was definitely much better.
