(They actually have quite a few locations now) but I came here for brunch with my friends on Sunday - I was worried the wait would be long but maybe we came early so there wasn't a wait at all. I got the steak & eggs - steak was cooked perfectly. Potatoes were good, I didn't care too much for the 'toast' that they had though. My husband got the birria benedict and he said it was really good & different. My friends got the birria chilaquiles & I think they enjoyed it as well. My toddler got the easter pancake (which i tried) and it was okay, very sweet. We also got a flight of refreshers, a margarita flight & the easter latte. Very spacious so you didn't feel like you were very close to a lot of people which was great if you have a big party. Service was very fast and friendly and recommended a lot of good things. I still liked it, my sister on the other hand wasn't particularly into it. Our waiter was very polite, friendly and accommodating. The food presentation was beautifully done on my pistachio latte to waffles and churro French toast. Everything was delightful nothing too sweet or overdone. Parking is easy, they share a lot with Jack n the box. I really loved how quickly we got our food, it was still warm when it got to us. Food - I ordered the madres lemonade and "the one". The lemonade was really interesting had a coconut milk base with strawberries in it, which gave it a creamy texture with a sweet finish, definitely not your conventional lemonade but it is still good. It kind of rides this line of being sweet and sour but instead of being harmonized it feels a bit like a tug of war. For the sandwich, the bread had a perfect milky/pillowy texture and gave a Texas toast vibe. The meat was very flavorful and all the ingredients were cooked well and gave the sandwich a dynamic range of texture from crunchy with the chicharons and bacon, to soft with the tender meat. The consume supplied as well was very standard but done well. The potatoes were done perfectly where they had a nice golden crust on the outside with a flufffy soft yellow inside texture. Service - the service was quick and efficient, but I ordered the golden bowl for takeout for my mother which I think was supposed to have salmon in it but there was no salmon, and the portion was extremely smaller than what I expected which is disappointing. Just finished eating here. I was so disappointed with the service. When we arrived, there was no hostess, no list, and an entryway full of people. We were told by other waiting customers that they were waiting as well. We were wrongly seated, because they had forgetting there was a party ahead of us. We waited 30 minutes to be seated after being told it was a 10 minute wait. Once we were finally seated, it took another 20 minutes to order drinks. One of our plates came out wrong, and they admitted to bringing the wrong plate. They confirmed our order, then proceeded to bring out the correct plate wrongly. It was a constant battle of trying to get someone's attention and waiting for items that were ordered. I have been to this location before and never experienced this type of service. The ambiance is great and there are multiple locations. I'm not sure if people called out and they were short-staffed, but there was no transparency to the situation, no apologies, and no compensation in any format. We were never checked on. Things tried: - match latte: it's a nice size latte and I was so glad it wasn't too sweet. I wish the matcha flavor was a bit stronger, but it was still yummy - pistachio latte: my friend tried this based on our waitresses rec. She was a fan - verde chilaquiles with birra: Soooo yummy! Maybe the best chilaquiles I've ever had. So many great flavors going on for this dish. It's also really pretty. Waffles were way too sweet and the texture was dense and not balanced with the overpowering sauces. The food makes for good pictures, but the taste has to be tempered a bit. The milk carton liquid eggs could use some cheese and green onion for flavor if we cant use shell eggs... My friend got the salmon toast plate and she was not impressed. I tried some and found the salmon to be good, but all the bread and avocado ended up being unnecessary. The morning after going out all night for a concert made me want some chilaquiles. The first place I thought of going was Madres because I'd tried a sampler from them before and knew it was good. I arrived around the time they opened so there was no wait and I was probably the first customer of the day. I got their rojo chilaquiles which the server explained would be the spicier one. I also got a specialty coffee flight which came with 4 coffees. The chilaquiles were crispy, saucy, and very flavorful.
