We went there for a birthday brunch last weekend. They brought just a birthday waffle and set it on fire on the side so it was pretty special and tasty! Think of a s'mores likes waffle minus the chocolate

Do they serve cafe de olla?

Sadly, no. There is a restaurant in Monrovia and Covina that serves Cafe de Olla. Fonda Don Chon and Cafe De Olla restaurant in Monrovia. Very delicious!

What are the vegan options?

I think their Chili rellenos are the only option. Best to call ahead to make sure.

[Parking]: There's a free public parking structure located one block away from the coffee shop (6738 Comstock Ave, Whittier, CA 90601). [Atmosphere]: Super crowded on Sunday & I was not able to find a place to sit. I ultimately ordered my breakfast burrito to-go. They also have a section of cafe that sell vintage clothing. [Menu]: For the signature breakfast burrito, they actually have 6 options - classic breakfast burritos (bacon - $16.50), Prime Steak (grass-fed prime steak $20.50), the Ultimate Burrito (grass-fed prime steak + avocado + bacon), Chilaquiles ($15.50), Chorizo ($16.00), and Vegan ($16.00). They also sell their cold brew cafe de olla in giant plastic bags that look like IV drip bags at the refrigerated section. [Ordering]: Customers can order at the cashier counter or order via kiosk (they use Toast). I reviewed their breakfast burrito options at 12 PM and they ran out of classic breakfast burrito. I ended up with prime steak breakfast burrito instead. Unfortunately I waited 45 minutes before they had my order ready and I could tell other customers were not too patient with their orders as they kept walking up to the pick-up counter & checked the ordering status. *** Prime Steak Breakfast Burrito (grass fed prime steak, scrambled egg, Monterey Jack cheese, crema, pico de gallo, tri-colored peppers, hash browns - $20.50): Unlike other breakfast burrito I have had at other places, this breakfast burrito had blue tortilla. This review is specifically about the customer service I received…read more I walked in on a Saturday morning and stood at the counter waiting to be helped. I don't mind waiting--that wasn't the issue. The problem was that no one acknowledged me. The two employees working saw me, turned their backs, and continued what they were doing. A simple "We'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. After several minutes, one of the employees finally turned around and asked to take my order. I asked a question about one of their food items and where I could find it. She looked irritated and silently pointed toward the bread section. I had already looked there and didn't see what I was asking about, so I was understandably confused. When she noticed my confusion, she dismissively said, "If you don't see it, we don't have it," in an unprofessional tone. I simply said "Okay, thank you" and walked away. A customer service training needs to be reviewed with these young ladies. I see many people are having similar complains about the service and it's unfortunate because this place has so much potential.

Sometimes you just want to wash life away with a boba slush and thanks to being in Whittier a few…read moreweeks back, I found myself at Chami Tea Bar next to my favourite shop the Toy Depot. My wife and I strolled into this shop in the middle of the afternoon and were in and out in just a couple of minutes. I ordered a mango slush with boba and before I knew it I was on my way. The drink tasted great and quenched every bit of thirst I had. What else can someone need out of a boba shop? Overall, Chami Tea Bar gets a big thumbs up from me and I'll definitely be a returning customer in the future. As long as the Toy Depot stays open, I'll be coming back for more!
