Service and food stand very equal to the point i don't know which was better. The ambiance was great a nice buzz in the restaurant not so loud you have to yell at your table mates. Food is very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious i had the half chicken , I chose the fries (shoestring) and it had a light gravy under the chicken. We visited on Valentine's Day for a 60th birthday celebration, and the restaurant was extremely busy. The space felt overcrowded, with tables placed very close together. The tables themselves were also quite small -- so small that I accidentally knocked over a glass of wine while trying to plate food. The atmosphere is definitely lively and high-energy. Food was a mix of hits and misses. The wedge salad was disappointing since it didn't include the blue cheese or blue cheese dressing that was listed on the menu. The ribeye was cooked perfect, but it was thin and tough. On the positive side, the tuna tartare, oysters, and potato gratin were all solid and enjoyable. We were also a bit surprised there was no acknowledgment of the 60th birthday we noted on the reservation as well as when ordering desert -- no candle or small celebration gesture. I took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. From the time we arrived until the second we left it was 5 . Bread, salads, steaks, desserts and cocktails were on point. Everyone from the valet, bartender, wait staff & owner were very present and active in our dinner experience. It is, hands down, the best steak I've eatin. My only regret is not going sooner. This place is beautiful, very classy with elegant chairs and chandeliers. The service was excellent with attentive and professional servers. My husband's steak was perfect, he loved it! My wedge salad was a half head of lettuce with a few scattered toppings, and totally not worth the $20. They could take lessons from Oscars, which has an amazing wedge salad. The lemonade was a lemon, flavored drink, so disappointed. The bacon tasting appetizer was just OK, nothing I would care to try again. This was such an amazing experience at a true local gem! From the minute we arrived, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We love the atmosphere and chose a booth which was very comfortable. They have plenty of seating options available, but a reservation is probably a good idea. Our food was prepared perfectly and we love the qualities of the bone in ribeye. We were graciously attended to by the staff the entire evening - and I noticed they treated everyone dining as if they were a "VIP". Our group left it up to me to find a place for our "nicer" dinner while in Vegas. I could have went to any of the big name chef places on the strip but I appreciate the little guys trying to make it. Mae Daly's is an exceptional place nestled between some wedding chapels and a small hotel. Do not judge a book by its cover on this one. Yes, it is off the beaten path but this place is everything you want in a great steak. I was in Vegas back in December and ate "The Steakhouse" (Circus Circus) and this place is simply better when it comes to eating steak. Our group of 7 split some salads and soups to start off. I had the chop salad and it had a very vibrant champagne vinaigrette. My friend ordered the filet mignon that they finished off in a bourbon reduction sauce. He said it was to die for. I had the NY Strip and it was not only cooked to perfection but also impressively seasoned. We had a bunch of shared sides that were all complimentary to the star of the show, the steak. We didn't order desert but they gave us all a little cannoli and then backed that up with a chocolate soufflé. Service was great! We drank everything from red wine to bourbon. This place just hits the spot. Is it on the strip, no. Is it a big name, no. What it is though will impress even the toughest of critics. I've heard a lot of great things about this restaurant so I thought we'd try it for our anniversary. They did offer us one of the loveseats upon our arrival, but I declined as I prefer regular seating to be comfortable when eating. It was a nice touch though. Service was mostly good. We shared a chopped salad as an appetizer. My husband ordered a ribeye with a side of mushrooms. I ordered the filet mignon and a side of creamed spinach. Our steaks were fantastic. I honestly think mine was cooked a bit more toward medium, but I was starved and it was still so flavorful, I didn't let the staff know. We shared the sides and both sides were great. They didn't overdo the cheese in the spinach. Some restaurants can turned creamed spinach into an entire cheese dish, with a touch of spinach, which is a bit of a turn off. We also ordered two of the Grand Marnier souffles. Those were fantastic. We had a bit of a wait as there was a bit of a snafu with one of our souffles. They brought us a couple of cannolis while we waited. My husband isn't really supposed to be eating much sugar so I was forced to eat both by myself. Oh my. I've never been a fan of cannolis, but these were amazing. My only complaint was regarding my iced tea refills. Sorry, we just don't consume much alcohol. My husband drinks mostly water, and when out, I prefer iced tea. I had a really difficult time getting a refill and had to wait for quite a bit before getting one refill. I never got another refill. I'm not clear on why it was such an issue as iced tea is typically prepared in advance. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal, and we will be repeat customers. read more

We made reservations for a Thursday night (we went early so didn't have an issue with a same day reservation), though it did start filling up. When you walk in, sit down dining is to your left, there is a bar area to your right. There were 3 of us, but we opted to share everything. We started with the bacon tasting. 5 pieces, all different and full of goodness. I could't possibly choose a favorite! We also chose to get a few sides with our New York Strip. The 3-cheese gratin is a must! The mushrooms were also great. Additionally, we actually got a dessert - the chocolate souffle. Don't skip dessert! Drink wise - everythign we had was good, but they can make things off menu too. They definitely know how to do the classics! I can't wait to go back. read more

Mae Daly's reminds me of old school vintage charm coupled with exquisite meals out of Napa. There's a story here and I hope you get to be graced by the owner just like we did to hear his story! The service was phenomenal from start to finish and so was the food. Our group ordered about half the menu and everything was just so outstanding. The drinks were curated well - we had espresso martinis to a few of their specialties. The wine options are aplenty and they have an in-house sommelier. We went with some of their picks and were not disappointed. The food - from the chopped salad, to the foie gras waffles, to the bacon sampler, and all of the steaks, they were all perfection in their own ways. The foie gras is an absolute must. You can't go wrong with any of the steaks either. For accompaniments, Mae Daly's might have the best mushrooms I've had and their truffle honey carrots are chef's kiss! We accidentally stumbled upon this steakhouse, which is not located inside a casino, and were immediately impressed by how elegant and romantic the atmosphere was. We dined in the lounge area by the bar, which was beautifully decorated with copper accents along the walls. We started with the wedge salad and French onion soup, followed by a wet-aged filet mignon and a three-cheese potato gratin. The steaks come with a choice of four different sauces; I asked to sample all of them and genuinely enjoyed every single one. Upon being seated, we were greeted with cornbread and mini croissants. The steak was incredibly tender truly one of the best steaks I've ever had. For dessert, we enjoyed a house-made chocolate soufflé paired with French press coffee. I really appreciated the attention to detail, such as my coffee mug being warmed to keep the coffee hot. They also offer an excellent wine selection. The owner, Rich, stopped by our table to introduce himself such a kind and welcoming gentleman. We learned the restaurant has only been open for about a year and a half. When our soufflé arrived, the creators behind the restaurant's dishes, Tommy and Tomas, surprised us with complimentary cannolis and tiramisu. All three desserts were outstanding. We come to Las Vegas once a month and have tried many steakhouses on the Strip. I can confidently say this restaurant is just as good, if not better, in both food and ambiance, yet the prices are noticeably lower than what you'd pay inside a casino. The complimentary desserts were a wonderful surprise and made the entire experience even more special. After dinner, we were so satisfied that we decided to skip a cab and walk back to our hotel at the Fontainebleau not a bad walk at all, even in high-heeled boots. Simply put, Mae Daly's was outstanding in all regards. We were met warmly upon entering and allowed to "choose" our seat - we were there to celebrate a birthday and were gently guided towards the lovely corner booth with a view of the dining room that is draped with curtains for a bit of privacy. The service was impeccable and our table attendant - whose name I am kicking myself now for not remembering - was so wonderful. She was very attentive without being overbearing and made sure we had everything we needed. The food...the food was amazing! We started with a Caesar salad, and if you know Caesar salad, you know the dressing can make it or break it. This one MADE it! It was very flavorful, with just enough to coat the salad without overpowering it, and the tendrils of parmesan on top practically melt in your mouth. For dinner I had the salmon (you choose the preparation, either broiled or pan seared, which is a nice touch) and it was nicely crisp on the surface and perfectly rare and buttery on the inside. We also enjoyed a side of asparagus and some french fries, both of which were tasty. We finished with the chocolate souffle (you need to decide on this fairly early as it takes 30 minutes to prepare), which was rich, chocolatey, and everything you could hope for in a decadent dessert. Perhaps the nicest touch was at the end of the meal when they brought us two desserts, cheesecake and cannoli, to celebrate what they thought was our anniversary (hey, a celebration is a celebration!). When we thanked them and said it was a birthday and wondered if those desserts were for another couple in the dining room, they sweetly said "Oh, we'll go get a candle!" Truly, everything about Mae Daly's was just fantastic - the warm hospitality, service, and food (and the cocktails - how could I forget the cocktails?! Get the Green Chile Martini!) were all outstanding. We will check out the lounge next. Lucky for us, we live nearby and can go often! read more

This was by far one of the best dinners I have ever had. I walk past this restaurant everyday and was curious to give it a try. We started with the asparagus risotto and it was delicious. I was skeptical at first but it was amazing! The branzino was perfectly cooked and crispy on the bottom, the steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had. The service was top notch, the ambience was perfect for a romantic date (albeit I was dining with my parents). I also must add the owner stopped by our table and introduced himself and it was very reminiscent of the old style Vegas. If you want to enjoy a nice meal on the strip this is definitely the place.
