My husband and I had dinner at Mae Daly's in Las Vegas, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. From the warm greeting at the door to the attentive service throughout the evening, everything felt welcoming and polished. The restaurant has a cozy, classic Las Vegas atmosphere that feels both charming and timeless. The menu features elevated Americana cuisine, and the steaks were excellent. We chose the prix fixe menu, available with the 5 PM reservation, which included a salad, entrée, two sides, and dessert -- a great value and a perfect way to experience several menu items. A special thank you to our waitress, Taylor, and bartender, Tommy, who made the night even more enjoyable with their friendly and attentive service. If you're looking for a classic Las Vegas dining experience with great food and exceptional hospitality, Mae Daly's is definitely worth a visit.

We were just walking by when we stumbled upon this restaurant, zero research. I think this was the best meal I've ever had! The steak was charred and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were truly the best I've ever had. Service was very nice and friendly, though she didn't know the full capability of the bar. The bartender really knew what he was doing. We got lemon drop martinis and raspberry lemon drop and they were just perfect, again the best I've had. The cornbread was dry and overcooked that's my only criticism. Loved the wall colors and ambiance.

I came to Vegas for a Tennis event and wanted to go to a place that I haven't been to yet. I wanted some where nice but not too far priced. After looking at the reviews and the pricing , availability I came up with Mae Daly's. The place wasn't too far down the Strip which I had to worry about since I didn't rent a car this time. Short trip. I took a Lyft here and it was an average price to get here. It has a parking lot so there is parking If you need it. The place is right down from the Strat. When I walked into the place.. wow it was really old school and very romantic. I loved it and so did the wife. The look was really classy and stylish. I of course had made a reservation and this was just at dinner time. 6PM. There were a lot of people already here. The hostess gave us three tables to pick from all of them close to the door which isn't a nice place to sit. However, the seat we did pick was a love seat against the front window. It was so romantic and lovely. Perfect for a night out with the wife. Our waitress introduced herself and asked what kind of water we wanted. I asked for a Scotch and or Cognac list. I didn't see anything that tickled my fancy so i asked if they had Remy and if they had XO, neat of course. She brought me back a snifter. We were eating all day so we picked light. The wife wasn't to hungry. I got the bone in ribeye and she got the mushroom risotto. Everything was fantastic and so flavorful. Just the right size for us that night. It didn't look like much but we were stuffed. Had to look at the dessert menu. our server recommended the Tre Leches Cake. it was one of their favorites and of course scratch made. It was wonderful. Loved every bite. This place was perfect and we had such a good time. We will have to come again and get more to eat hahaha. They have a large bar room but I didn't venture over to it. This is a lovely place.

Went to Mae Daly's around 530pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty. The entrance was a little confusing. There were 2 places that could have been the host stand, but no one was there to check us in. We waited a few seconds and a woman on a knee scooter came to check us in. She asked if we'd like the bar area or the dining room, we chose the bar. It took a bit for someone to bring us drink menus, we ordered Sazerac's. They are our favorite, and it's hard to find a place that makes them right. They were perfect! Our server brought us dinner menus, however, online, it showed a 5 o'clock menu available for our reservation. ( 89.00) We asked if it was still available and he said yes, and then brought a different menu over. My husband and I both ordered the special menu. It was quite a lot of food. I got the chopped salad ( very fresh and very tasty), an 8oz filet ( perfectly cooked at medium rare) 2 sides( I asked only for 1 because it was way too much food) mashed potatoes, and a desert ( cheesecake) which I ended up declining at the end. ( again, too much food for me!) My husband got the same entree, but a Caesar salad, creamed spinach, fries and a chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious! What a great deal for that amount of food! The service was good, the food was great, the music playing in the background was perfect for the theme. We will likely be back! Definitely recommend!

4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Quality/Quantity - I got the 5 o'clock pre-fixed dinner. What a great deal, $89! Good deal especially since the 8oz fillet alone is $79 on the regular menu. Chopped Salad - I think I should have gotten the caesar salad. After the fact, I read many good reviews about the caesar salad. The chopped salad was not bad, just not special. My wife ended up eating most of it. Prime Filet Mignon 8oz - Medium rare, cooked perfectly. Well, it may have been a little more rare than I would normally prefer, but this was cooked so tender that it melted in my mouth! I would happily get this again! The shoestring fries and cauliflower were also cooked perfectly. And I do not even like cauliflower?!?! NY Cheesecake - My choice of dessert, and my favorite of the 3 desserts. My wife got the following: Mediterranean Branzino - Again, cooked perfectly! Even the crispy skin was so good. Chocolate Mousse Cake - My wife enjoyed this. As light eaters, we had a hard time finishing all the desserts. Complimentary corn bread and croissants - Both of which were fresh and amazing! My wife actually asked for seconds. Complimentary Cannolis - Good. Glass of Daou Cabernet to wash my steak down. Ambiance - Huge location. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Bar seating, etc. We got a very nice private booth but it was next to the front door. So every time someone came in and out, we felt the LV night COLD breeze... Next time, I will request to be further away from the door; I am sure they would have been happy to accommodate it. Nice decor; see pictures. Semi open kitchen. Dress code = Vegas casual. Open 5 days a week from 5pm till 10pm or midnight. Closed Sunday & Monday. Clean restrooms. Service - The waiter was so professional. Sorry, I forgot his name. The door greeter was also friendly. The manager was welcoming. The owner even stopped by for a second to say hi. Free valet parking; we did not use it. We took ride share. Price - $175 + generous tip. Good value for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your new restaurant since June of 2024.

My husband and I found Mae Daly's completely by chance, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how beautiful the restaurant is. The décor, bar, seating, and overall atmosphere make you feel like you've stepped into old-school Las Vegas with a touch of elegance and charm. What really stood out was the service. Every single person treated us like royalty. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. We even had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was incredibly friendly and took the time to talk with us. That personal touch made the evening even more memorable. Tommy was exceptional! The whole staff was! And then there was the food. The steak was a classic steak done right, but somehow it was one of the best steaks we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and incredibly tender, it reminded us that sometimes simplicity executed perfectly is what makes a meal unforgettable. The roasted chicken was just as impressive--cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and about as close to perfect as you can get. Even the asparagus was something out of this world. It's rare for a side dish to stand out, but every bite was absolutely delicious. There wasn't a single thing on the table that disappointed. We found ourselves talking about the food long after dinner was over. The entire experience felt special from start to finish. We were joking that it felt like something out of a classic mafia movie because the place has such an amazing old-Vegas vibe. We definitely plan on coming back for my birthday. If you're looking for incredible food, outstanding service, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Mae Daly's is a must-visit. We can't wait to return.

I'm really torn on this one! Let's start from the beginning...plan to Valet Park (no self parking). Didn't have my Tesla key with me so was allowed to park it myself. Valet guy was extremely friendly and nice about it. Outside shares a lot with a lodge of sort (old motel) and across from the Strat so not the cleanest areas of town. Several homeless wandering the area (sad problem in Vegas). Once inside were a bit confused where to check in. Lady with a rolling leg brace thingy was to the left and didn't exactly acknowledge us but we determined she was the hostess. A gentlemen came toward and greeted us, then she said hi and took my name to verify our reservation. Seated at a cushy couch with big table we had to push around to get in/out (restroom visits, etc). While nice for a lounger, not the greatest to eat a meal at. Place is decorated perfectly, very clean and lovely ambiance. Staff was ver friendly BUT...for a Saturday at 5:30-7:30 it felt they were understaffed. The gentlemen that treated us is clearly the manager, doubling as bartender, tripling as water boy. Ok, the food... Bread service - this one is weird. One piece of cornbread and one croissant per person. Odd pairing indeed and even more odd bread choice for a steakhouse. Bacon Sampler - is a must try! 5 different flavored strips + a bacon jam. Excellent. French Onion Soup - it's different. Heavy rosemary/thyme flavor profile. So, very savory, not sweet at all like most French onions. Not bad, just different. Reminded me of a turkey dinner soup. Wild mushroom side - my wife's thing, not mine. She said it wasn't a $15 side, just OK. The steak - we went for the wet aged boneless ribeye. Couple things....the COOK was perfectly as ordered, medium rare plus. Nailed it! The seasoning....another weird one. It was good but the strange thing, the taste of the ends reminded me of the smell if you've ever followed a big rig full of cows on the highway or driven near Kettleman City on I-5 in CA. the center pieces were great! Dessert - chocolate soufflé. Good! Cannoli - provided free, even better! Cocktails - good. Nothing to write home about. Overall friendly service, nice atmosphere, and decent food. But didn't wow me and not sure what all the hype is I've seen online. Here's my listing of steak houses we've tried thus far in our ranking of best to worse in prior 18 months, primarily based on food quality. Service has been pretty outstanding at all. Cheese cake with fruit atop that tasted like candy - YUM

First off, the valet parking is free! Inside, you are walking into a visual feast for your eyes. The decor is visually elegant. The beautifully appointed chandeliers are fabulous. This restaurant appears upscale and yet welcoming to all. Some people were very casually dressed and some were very dressy. Now to the culinary delight! Tomas, the chef, was remarkable. We were greeted by Taylor, a most delightful and attentive service professional - tending to our every need. The owner, Richard came around to each and every table to greet us and ask if there was anything else we desired. Very rare in today's world! He was warm and personable. Now the food: I would say it was exceptional. Starting with either corn bread or croissant and butter. Then we had the most delectable giant shrimp cocktail. Then we were served a rack of different bacon - cooked to perfection! We were give a small taste of cilantro and shrimp and lobster bisque - impeccable. By this time, I wish I hadn't ordered an entree! My friends all had salad , which, in itself, could have been a main meal. The filet was tremendous. I had a huge piece of salmon in a butter sauce that was sautéed. The chicken in a special red sauce was marvelous. Needless to say, you can't go wrong visiting this little gem of a restaurant across from the Strat on the Las Vegas Blvd. I rate this restaurant A+++. We were celebrating my good friend, Rosie's, birthday. The special vanilla cannolis and the cheese cake also was a big surprise! Again, the owner clearly took pride in creating a welcoming, well-run establishment. We WILL return. Please arrive hungry!!!

I'm struggling tremendously with this review because I REALLY wanted to love this place and had high hopes going in as it's an independent non-casino restaurant in a hopefully gentrifying north-Strip area. Unfortunately the food flavors were not up to par in many areas and the price point definitely isn't supported by the food experience. To start with the very good aspects - the service is phenomenal. We dined with another couple on a Tuesday night and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. Everyone greeted us with a smile and they went out of their way to be attentive in every way from promptly clearing plates, delivering food, filling water glasses etc. The restaurant interior is in a super cute speakeasy theme which we loved. For the purposes of this review I'm only going to comment on the food I ordered as I didn't taste everything on the table. They offer a complimentary bread service of cornbread and a croissant which is always appreciated. I ordered the French onion soup as an appetizer and it was a lovely presentation encased in lots of delicious melty cheese. However the soup itself was absolutely flavorless. It didn't taste bad per se, it was just so watery I had to dump copious amounts of salt into it from the shaker on the table just to get anything remotely resembling what should be a deep unctuous broth. For my entree I ordered the salmon and I advised the server to please request the kitchen to not overcook it. When in arrived and I took my first bite I could immediately tell it was dry and way overdone. Just a big disappointment for a $48 piece of fish. I will say that one of the other people at our table ordered the filet and I was able to try a piece and it was quite good. I guess it's my fault for ordering fish at a steakhouse... The sides we ordered were hit or miss. Mushrooms were well prepared and actually seasoned properly and the roasted carrots had a nice glaze with a crunchy nutty garnish. The baked potato was a baked potato - nothing special and the steak fries were not good. Brutally undercooked and tasted like they could have come frozen out of a bag. For dessert we shared the chocolate soufflé which was just ok. Again it lacked a ton of flavor. They also served each of us a complementary mini cannoli which, ironically, was probably the tastiest thing I ate all night. Again I hate to leave a negative review for a locals place like this but the food, while utilizing quality ingredients for the most part, is lacking in flavor to the point that we won't return. Dinner for four was $567 before tax and tip which included three cocktails, two glasses of wine, four each of appetizers, entrees and sides and one shared dessert. Honestly if the food had been seasoned properly it would be a fairly reasonable total.

Took my husband here for his birthday and we were not disappointed. The ambiance is amazing, you can tell each piece of decor was selected with care. The food was out of this world! Definitely try the bacon flight as an appetizer. Depending on which table you sit at, you can watch the chef flambe your food! The staff was very nice and accommodating for my food allergies. The cocktails were delicious. The owner even came by and cracked some jokes that had us rolling It's a little pricey, but that's to be expected for a steak house of this caliber. You get on-Strip atmosphere for off-Strip prices. Absolutely worth every penny! We'll be back for another date night!

The atmosphere is warm and classic, with the kind of comfortable elegance that makes it perfect for anything from a nice dinner out to celebrating something special. The food is outstanding. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and clearly made with quality ingredients. The steaks are seriously the BEST steaks in town! The sides and appetizers are just as impressive. When you go, definitely try the bacon tasting! (Can't believe I didn't get a picture of it!) It's a fun and surprisingly elevated way to start your evening. With different flavors and preparations that set the tone for the whole meal, you'll thank me later. What really stood out though was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. They made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. The owner even came by to introduce himself. In a city full of restaurants, Mae Daly's stands out for getting the basics right: great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to and recommending to friends.

Upon entering we were greeted immediately and seated promptly. We started off with a Bottle of Clicquot, a Seafood tower, Oyster Rockefeller, Summer Black Truffle Risotto and Bacon Tasting. The wasabi tobiko on the raw oysters was good. For Our Entree's we had Dry Aged Ribeye Bone-In 18oz with Mash & Spinach. We Definitely will be back as we enjoyed our meals.

We had visitors from Pittsburgh and the conversation began with do we have reservations at Mae Daly's? They visited in November and had their first Mae Daly's dining experience. Mae's was very busy, but the service and food was excellent. We dine there often and the food and service are consistently outstanding. Richie, the owner, makes it a point to personally greet and stop at your table and make you feel at home. Our visitors decided that Mae Daly's will become a tradition when they are in Vegas. read more

Arrive 5 min before the rest of my party. Host says he won't seat us until the entire party is there. I get it, but it wasn't busy, and what you don't appreciate is I spend money when waiting. That irks me - no, i won't wait at the bar - I'll wait outside. Seated and the service at the table was amazing. Thumbs up to Kieran and the team - because it was a team effort. The croissant and cornbread was odd, but tasty. Bacon tasting. A novelty and delicious. Not sure I'd do again. Oysters rock was the star. Dinner. The porterhouse for 2 was very very good. Our friends got the dry aged ribeye and it was average - very average - and at that price point I'd have been angry. Don't describe yourself as a classic steakhouse then tank the ribeye - this is why I can't give them 5 stars. Now all that being said - everything else was great. Service great. Rest of food great. Location is crap - a heavily remodeled beacon within a mile of crap - but I love that kind of stuff. They have a valet so don't fear. Overall recommend! read more

Being somewhat new to Vegas, I was in search of a good steak house. Last minute we were invited to Mae Daly's soft opening & let me tell you I was beyond impressed! Everything from their classic Las Vegas decor, super fresh croissants, crudo de pesce, lobster cocktail, burrata salad, blue cheese salad, herbed chicken, fish, sides & of course their steak. EVERYTHING exceeded my expectations. My favorite was their steak & mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked PERFECTLY and was paired amazingly with their great selection of red wines & old fashions. To top it off, their staff was amazing! Our amazing waitress, Melissa was so attentive and went above and beyond to assure our table received exactly what we wanted. Melissa never skipped a beat when it came to refilling our beverages! 5 stars for sure! read more

Richard is a wonderful host - only one of the reasons Mae Daly's is our favorite dinner destination. It is an especially convenient location after a tough work week. The seafood tower is amazing as is the porterhouse - but I always start off with an old fashioned and always leave room for dessert. Quality staff and a great atmosphere. read more

The food was phenomenal but, the service was some of the worst I've ever had. We were looking for a dining experience and our sever felt like she couldn't make it at Dennys. She came over and insisted we order our entire meal the minute she arrived. I explained we were looking for a dining experience and I didn't mind ordering our entire meal but, we didn't want to feel rushed. She said she understood but, then our salads came before we even had a drink in front of us. Next she brought us bread and when we asked for butter she said they are out of butter. I said why would you give us bread if you're out of butter. Finally 10 minutes later she said the chef made an exception and made us some butter. Our dinner was some of the best food I've ever had but, even when I asked to pack it up to go. I should have checked, she didn't put my husband's peppercorn sauce he ordered for his steak and the gravy that made my $41 chicken phenomenal. Being born and raised in Vegas we are used to 5 star hospitality! It was sad to see the caliber of service so poor. read more

Started with the onion soup. Excellent.. not overloaded with bread like some places do it. I had the filet mignon with the mushrooms and Bernaise sauce. Everything was great. Attentive, friendly staff . Not much of a drinker so I had plain iced tea to drink. Overall, one of the best steakhouses in Vegas . Hopefully places like this can help revitalize the north end of the strip. read more

My wife and I are Las Vegas locals. We are tired of going through the casino crowds to get to a semi good steakhouse on the strip. Mae Daly's is so different. It's on the strip across from the Strat. Almost a little oasis. We arrived and were greeted by 2 smiling valets. One even opened the restaurant door for us. We had reservations. We were met by the owner Richard and the Maitre d. I apologize because I forgot her name. We actually shook hands and they introduced themselves. NEVER had that done in any 5 star restaurant but that's the beginning of what sets Mae's aside from the others. We were seated in a wonderful booth. It had a love seat and a curtain at the entrance. I was impressed that Richard stayed at the table with us for about 10-15 minutes talking. He and his staff made us feel like we were the only customers. Melissa was our server. Honestly one of the best we have ever had. She was totally knowledgeable about the food and a great sense of humor. We ordered dinner, I ordered for an appetizer the Corn Bisque and my wife ordered the Piedmontese Beef Tartare. We decided to share the 16 ounce American Wagyu Ribeye, and the Truffle Honey toasted carrots and the wild Mushrooms. The Appetizers were so amazing. Our Steak came with 4 different sauces, which we really didn't need . The steak was amazing without them. Richard explained earlier that the only seasoning they use on the steaks were salt and pepper. It was cooked to perfection, medium rare. The mushrooms and carrots were the perfect sides and delicious. Just as a side note. Richard knows the Owners of the 3 ranches he gets his meat's from. To finish off the dinner i ordered a wonderful desert wine and cheesecake and my wife had the Strawberries and chocolate dipping sauce and French pressed coffee. The decor of the restaurant was kinda like the 1920-30' and for being a 5 star restaurant it had more of a welcoming and comfortable feel. Please, do yourself a favor, forget the strip steakhouses, once you experience Mae Daly's, it will be your go to Steakhouse. Plus from what i understand Richard is a local that has spent 30 years in the restaurant industry in Vegas. We will be coming back again and again and again. Awesome restaurant! Food was outstanding, service was phenomenal, and the vibe was very cool and classy. All of the staff were also very nice and went out of their way to create an enjoyable experience. Our server was Oreon, and he was so nice and provided such excellent service We had the bone-in rib eye, which was perfectly cooked. The au gratin potatoes were also fantastic, and the croissants with butter to start the meal were delicious. So flaky, airy and soft, and the butter so fluffy! This place is definitely on our list of favorites and we will be back on our next Vegas trip! read more

Mae Daly's was a lovely steakhouse with really great and friendly service, cool retro-inspired cocktails, and a fun vibe. They also specialize in a HUGE whiskey selection (so big it is multiple scrolls through an iPad). You MUST get the DIVINE bacon appetizer, thank me later. This is a "will go back for that dish alone" sort of appetizer--it's THAT fabulous. Fair warning, eating only half of it filled me up! Next time we think we might sit at the bar, order the bacon tasting app, then work our way through the rest of the yummy appetizer and salad list. The owner Rich sources the beef himself as he worked for the Charlie Palmer steakhouse chain for years. Steaks were of course great but filets were at a higher price point than most for that area of the Strip. We had the wet-aged filets, my husband got the Roses one at the top. We also had the best potato gratin I've had in Vegas--creamy but not too rich, cheese crust on the top. Large enough for 3 to share. We opted for the Grand Marinier souffle, which was good, but we wish we would have gone with chocolate instead as the Grand Marinier flavor was lighter than we expected. They did add in some house cannoli, and those were yummy! Wine list was extensive and reasonably priced, something for everyone. We got there early right at opening, and were fortunate the hostess J seated us at their table 24, a private booth with sofa seating and a curtain. Definitely reserve that one if you can for an anniversary or special occasion. If you love a steakhouse and especially if you're particular about your beef sourcing ans selection, definitely put this one on your list! A few other tips: there is a valet available, the bar is large, it was starting to get busy when we left at 6:45, so probably good to get a reservation if you're eating during normal Vegas rush times. read more

If you have been sleeping on Mae Daly's, it is THE spot! It is absolutely gorgeous, art deco inspired with the most comfortable booth I have ever experienced. Everything from the Foie Gras to the Espresso martini was absolutely delicious but the real star of the show is their service. Tommy behind the bar is next level in hospitality and our server Michelle was attentive and sweet, the owner and manager both checked in as well. Had a great dining experience with my beautiful bride. The location was classy and the service was five star. Our waiter Orien was fantastic. Educated us on the menu, the preparation and wine pairings. Checked in on us periodically but not too much. We even met the owner. Super Nice guy. Lastly, the food was top shelf. My wife had the fillet and I had a New York strip steak flavorful and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend this place. Off the beaten path but worth the trip. I'll be back there soon. read more

Your home here and they will remember you when you return. The food is incredible. The atmosphere is impeccable. This place is amazing! The owner was so down to earth and friendly and the staff really cared about our entire dining experience. We had the surf and turf...which was out of this world! The chef personally served it to us, which to me showed his pride in his craft. This place was better than Hells Kitchen. The server even walked us out the door as if were were guests there. Figured Mae Daly's was close enough to the Fontainebleau walk there for dinner before the concert. Was greeted most pleasantly by manager Chris Janz, who offered the choice to begin at the bar or go straight to my table. Chose the bar of course, and had me a Lion's Tail ($20) from Nova while admiring the decor and alcohol display. Drink seasonally spiced and sweet, contrasted with a mild tanginess. Was escorted to my table, introduced to server Vanessa, and began a leisurely indulgent feast. Complimentary bread-choice of croissant or cornbread, so naturally I asked for both. The pastry was pullapart flakey, while the bread was tender. The flavorful butter was a touch too cold for easy spreading but really neither pieces needed it. Bacon Tasting ($35): Might seem a bit crazy at $7 a slice, but dang those slices were delicious, the stated flavor profiles distinct while not overwhelming the right balance of lean and fat of the meat. The bacon jam was a fab gooey sticky enhancer. The Frey Ranch Filet Mignon Au Poivre 8oz ($95): Perfectly done at the requested medium-rare, juicy rich mouthfeel, very peppery. Bonus-got to observe Chef Tomas baste and set my steak on fire. Truffle Honey Roasted Carrots ($18): About 10 whole pieces, at the perfect (a word I used a lot for Mae Daly's) firm but bite-tenderness, sweet and nutty with a slight countering zip. While I was at the bar Nova had been kind enough to pour a generous taste of the Mae Daly's Two Barrels 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon. I liked the odd fruity/mineral taste so much I requested a glass at table; fortunately, since a bottle (~$145) was already opened, I was able to receive a full pour ($35) to go with my dinner. Proprietor Richard went around the room to offer a complimentary taste of A5 wagyu (? I think, I was near food coma by that point). Decadent. Felt I would be unable to do any of the desserts justice so resorted to my usual expedient of have a liquid treat, chose the Cazes Clos des Paulilles Banyuls Grand Cru 2013 ($16). Nice pour. Value: A YMMV. Prices reflect and are in line with the experience and quality, in my opinion. Atmosphere and Service: Very special and over-the-top. Superb, overwhelming warm hospitality given, indulged all my questions, frequent check-ins and table resets. Thoughtful old-school speakeasy/club decor with ornate chairs, bell-shaped speakers, hammered tin half-walls and ceilings, china figures, crystal chandeliers, portraits of the eponymous inspiration. And a monkey is honored with both a statue and portrait. Notes as of this review: Location is one sketchy but short (or short but sketchy, depending) walk from the Sahara and Strat hotels. Mae Daly's requires all the main food ordered at the beginning, and recommends that the souffle order be placed then as well. Place gets to share the next-door apartment complex's very picturesque pool area for some outdoor dining. read more

Service was impeccable. Ask for O. such a nice guy. We started off with a makers. Mark Manhattan and my friend got an old-fashioned. Both delicious. The warm croissants were delicious. Now Let's go to the steaks. Not gonna lie they are not cheap. My steak was cooked to perfection. We added Bearnaise sauce as well. The au gratin potatoes are to die for. We went to experience this new restaurant just a few days after opening, although we avoided the crowds by going on a Sunday, early in the evening. Mae Daly's is set to become Las Vegas' new standout restaurant, and we were so excited to be some of the first to experience it! The bar is beautifully appointed, and the wine menu and cocktail menu are amazing. All drinks are decidedly well balanced - credit to Tommy's expertise! The bartending services are second to none. The appetizer menu highlights steakhouse, favorites, as well as some imaginative twists. The beef menu is outstanding, and uses multiple carefully curated selections to provide an outstanding steakhouse experience. The restaurant itself highlights the sordid history of Mae Daly, a Las Vegas legend. Mae and her companion chimpanzee cohort, Mr. B, are featured throughout. The restaurant space is beautiful, and there is free valet parking, as well as coordinated indoor and outdoor spaces that are perfect for all occasions. The team behind this restaurant is a well established collaboration that shaped the previous Charlie Palmer enterprises here in town, including the COVID-shuttered Charlie Palmer Steak at The Four Seasons, and recently closed Aureole at Mandalay Bay. Everything from this place is amazing ! From their bar/lounge to main dining room, this place serves it . Christine was our server and Tommy was our bartender . The appetizers were delicious and plenty ! The burrata with seared peaches called to me. The flatbreads were yummy and shareable! The Cesar was authentic and delicious as was the chopped salad . Clams Casino and Oysters Rockafeller were out of this world!!! Like old Vegas days . The steaks were yummy and their soufflés and cannolis are not to be missed! My wife and I had an incredible time here. It happened to be a quiet night--which even surprised the staff--but it made for a relaxed and intimate experience. The restaurant isn't located in a hotel, which we actually loved. It's near the Stratosphere, so while it's still on the Strip, the area isn't the most polished. If you're a tourist walking over, just be a bit vigilant. That said, the spot has real character and feels more like a local gem than a tourist stop. The ambiance was stunning, with decor that made us feel like we'd stepped into the 1930s. Service was exceptional--our server, Carrie, was a 10/10, and the bar manager, Tommy, was just as impressive. We started with the bacon sampler (a must!), and for mains, we had the NY Strip and Filet, both cooked perfectly. We sampled all the steak sauces--the House sauce was our favorite--and got a side of the caramelized onions, which added great flavor (not that the steaks needed any help!). For sides, we had the asparagus and potato gratin--both were delicious. We were too full for dessert, but everything we tried exceeded expectations. This place feels like a hidden gem. We'll absolutely be back. read more

Then we were greeted by manager Derrick, who I'd previously spoke with on the phone and told him we'd be about 5 minutes behind schedule. He told me it was no problem. Derrick's personality was personable to the point where it felt like I knew him already. TK recommended the pepper corn sauce for our steak and then went above and beyond by bringing out several different sauces to try with our steak. I informed Derrick my wife was in PA school and graduating soon and then he went above and beyond by bringing out a complementary dessert for her, which he did not have to do but we were very appreciative of the nice gesture. This experience tonight was one of a kind and I'd gladly come back on my next visit and tell a friend. I've never had such exceptional service at a steakhouse. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.

Now let's talk about the food. The restaurant starts off with complimentary croissants and butter, and let me tell you, they have the softest, flakiest croissants! The Mae Daly Chopped Salad is also very tasty. It has the perfect combination of freshness you want from a salad--olives, boiled eggs, bacon, and my favorite, artichokes! We spoiled ourselves with the Four Roses Filet Mignon Au Poivre 8 oz. for $95. This comes with a flambé finish that you can watch near the kitchen area--very cute. For sides, we ordered Mr. B's Mashed Potatoes and Wasabi-Glazed Brussels Sprouts. The mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and so addicting we couldn't stop eating them. Meanwhile, the Brussels sprouts were crispy, flavorful, and nutty--not everyone can make them perfect, but Mae Daly's definitely did. We didn't get dessert because we were so full, but guess what? More compliments from Mae Daly's! They gifted us cannolis with a not-too-sweet cream and chocolate chips. Devoured. We had a wonderful evening at Mae Daly's! We were there on a Sunday evening with a party of 8 at 6:30 and had tickets to see a show at the Strat at 8:30. We were celebrating two birthdays and the manager and our waitress Olivia both gave us great service. We each received a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the birthdays (and it was yummy!) and then wonderful, unrushed service, but we were done in plenty of time to get across the street for our show. The steak melted in my mouth and the potatoes au gratin were outstanding and they were gluten free to boot which allowed me to enjoy them. We ordered two souffles for dessert but they also brought out complimentary cannolis and cake again because of the birthdays. It is a definite do over in Vegas! read more
