We had a very bad experience. My niece made a reservation and even payed a deposit for a party of 25 arriving on a Friday night. She did this weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told we'd be seated in two different sections on OPPOSITE sides of the restaurant because they can't overwhelm the server. SMH. They could have planned much better than that! Had they planned properly for the event, they could have sat us at individual tables and different booths, BUT at least near each other, and simply used multiple servers. It wasn't rocket science! It would only have taken a limited amount of planning and effort - both of which the people at this establishment failed to provide. To add insult to injury, the manager and staff were rude as we tried to decide on seating. I'm saddened that my great-niece's birthday party was ruined. We eventually just left the Maggie McFly's and moved her party to Dave and Buster's. I'm happy to say Dave and Buster's sat us all together immediately and served us with no problem. read more

Had a great dining experience here (pre Covid). So glad I was able to experience McFly's superb bang bang chicken and shrimp. Similar to a light Thai curry sauce served piping hot over a bed of pillowy rice. They will sub for mashed potato etc but I was more than pleased with rice and all that slightly spicy yummy sauce. We made it in time for happy hour and I tried several of the signature martinis and I was not disappointed by any of the ones I sampled (had a DD so why not?!). By request, the bartender made a lemon drop martini so good I wondered if He/she had sprinkled a little magic in it. I also love a restaurant that has an ample amount of broccolini and pasta for my little people. Our waiter was so much fun and very informative about all of the menu items I'd return just to have a few cocktails and chat. We also sampled the crab cakes and a burger and nothing disappointed. Everything was made fresh, piping hot, and VERY tasty. Did I mention happy hour?! I think I found my new favorite lunch/happy hour spot. Extremely disappointing dinner from Maggie McFly's My wife and I have ordered food to go from them multiple times with no issue. However tonight while ordering through door dash, we waited an hour before calling to check on our food. We were told their "tablet" had died so they never processed our order. As a kind gesture they offered a $10 dollar gift card, which is a little low considering we ordered two dinners and two desserts. After another 20 mins of waiting we called the door dash driver to check on the food, which she was told was "still not ready". So after one hour and 45 mins of waiting we received our food, the French fries were cold, my wife was missing pieces to her dessert and ent and they forgot to put my dessert in with the order Highly disappointing. Update 2-4-19 Maggie McFly's sent us a $25 gift certificate. Their responses were very fast. I appreciate their willingness to correct issues. read more

I love Maggie McFly's, I've been to this location twice and I have not been disappointed. I had the Maggie's Shellfish pot, while my boyfriend had the penne vodka with shrimp/scallops. The shellfish pot was out of this world. I could also be easily shared by two people. We also had the burrata with tomato and she crab soup as an appetizer, which were both fantastic. I write this with regret & disappointment. My last visit consisted of 2 actually. First one was to purchase a gift card for my dear friends as a Christmas gift. Cool. It was quick and efficient. Second visit was hours later to have late night dinner. First of all, it was a ridiculous wait to even get seated when the place was not that busy & a bunch of waitstaff was scurrying along not even acknowledging us standing there. When we finally got seated we passed a lot of un-bussed tables. Where we sat was in a booth facing two dirty, un-bussed tables the WHOLE time we dined it. It was gross to look at. Ordered wings and the tower of appetizers. I had to send back my wings because after eating just one, I noticed my second wing was still rather soft and pinkish. I brought it to our waitress's attention where she agreed with me and even sent a manager over to me about them. She explained to me that they bake their wings and flash-fry them for an added crunch. She said next time I should ask for them to be fried "hard." Ok, fine. Sooooo why did she take my plate of wings and had those "fried hard." Ummmm, what?! That means they'd be cooked basically 4 times altogether. Why not just offer me a brand new batch??? It's not MY fault their chosen way to prepare chicken wings still came out not cooked all the way. So anyway, my wings came back out and wouldn't you know it -- they were hard & dry AF and just no longer edible. They were basically woodchips dipped in hot wing sauce. I just smiled and said they're fine but you know what? It wasn't fine. I was just pissed by then and wanted to go home. It was midnight by that point. I boxed up the leftovers and paid the bill. Btw, did they stop serving complimentary breadsticks?? We didn't get any. I think I'm done with Maggie's for a little while. I see now why the bad Yelp reviews. I finally saw it first hand. Taking a customer's plate of food that's been sitting at the table from some time back to the kitchen to be re-cooked is tacky and somewhat gross. They don't know if I had touched all the wings or what but yet they're gonna throw them in their fryer with potentially my germs. That's just gross and a turn off. Typically I love maggie mcflys . I ordered Louisiana chicken, which is my favorite , but I ordered it to go today and it's a significantly smaller portion then when I have ordered in resteraunt . It's a 20 dollar meal and I got maybe 10 pieces of tortellini . I'm not a happy customer with this order. Also now that I'm trying to cut into the chicken it's almost rock hard. read more

The menu is one that's so long it takes you an hour to figure out what you'd like. It's kinda the reason I gave it 4 stars. Also my bartenders that day. I tried to ask them both what they're known for or people get more than anything. I just got "whatever you're in the mood for really". Also, I'm not sure if the bartenders I had knew how to pour a bourbon neat. I kept getting a shots amount I'd drink in full during one taste. Otherwise, when I did get the food it was amazing. I tried the Buffalo Blasts, Onion Ring Tower, BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger (which had a different bbq sauce than the bartender told me), the Fettuccine Alfredo and Ice Cream Sundae. I really wish I could've switched the BBQ sauce on the burger with the one that came with the Onion Ring tower but the food was stellar. Great Bourbon selection I just can't pay $15 a piece for 5 shots of Bookers when I'm asking for glasses neat to sip on. I'll gladly pay that price for two-fingers tho! There was just so much on the menu that I was over whelmed. I got the turkey dinner and it was not good I was so disappointed don't know how you could screw that up. They didn't have enough waitresses on the waitresses were not very nice because they seemed overworked and overwhelmed. This was the weekend, so they should have had more staff. When we sat down we ordered water and coffee she never came back with the coffee and then when we asked her she seemed perturbed then she forgot a second time then when we mentioned it to her she was frustrated to say the least. Issue 1: Traveling from Las Vegas, NV and ate for lunch around 230pm-ish. Lunch menu offered until 4pm. Finished at 4:04pm. Our total "lunch" bill came to $111.00, for 3 lunch plates, 2 apps, 1 kids meal, and drinks. This equates to - their restaurant charged us full Dinner menu prices! Please note: we tipped our server $20.00, not realizing the discrepancy until later this evening. Because the food was good - Issue 2: We ordered 3 cupcakes at $6.49 each plus a slice of carrot cake and the cupcakes expired on November 8, 2018, and today is November 17, 2018. Please see pictures as exhibits of proof. Food is great but unsure now about their internal processes that need implementation of change. Eg. (1) Daily quality checks of bakery items and (2) ensure to honor lunch menu prices when customers are ordering off of it. While it's probably human error- the perception can be truly Deceptive. Customer experiences keep businesses running; competition is stiff. You tell me if the aforementioned issues associated with this restaurant can be perceived as seemingly unscrupulous. Resolution: Christine, the manager, did take care of us by apologizing and issuing full refund for the desserts. After she explained that YES we were charged the dinner prices and the difference was only "$16" the reality remains: the principle of customer experience is the driving force of any good business. read more

Wanted to try a new place to eat for my sons birthday, so we chose Maggie McFly's. The first thing I must say is the setting is very nice, the menu was overwhelming. Service was good even on a busy Saturday night. We shared an appetizer and then individual meals. Everyone was happy with what they picked to eat. I would definitely go back again but I feel that with that many selections in a menu you can not have a signature item you do extremely well and that stands out. read more

One of my favorite things about this restaurant (besides them having loads of gluten-free options) is that even though they are technically a chain restaurant, they source locally for their food. There are so many choices of food here! The menu is the size of a bible. They have food from tacos to pasta to even sushi. Many burger choices and my FAVORITE part is their dessert menu! They have more than 5 choices of dessert (unlike regular places) and even have a little s'mores platter that has a fire lit so you can roast your marshmallows :) We've been here at least ten times since they've opened. read more

The good...this place has a pretty good atmosphere for being attached to Lynnhaven mall. It's kind of a sports bar, but not too crazy. And still manages to have half of a cozy kind of atmosphere. She even had a cast on one arm but managed to pay very close attention to filling our drinks, making helpful suggestions and getting our food out in a timely manner. The bad. The menu would be Gordon Ramseys worst nightmare. It's the size of a small phone book. I was extremely overwhelmed. I finally just told the waitress what I was hoping for and she pointed it out on page 4. Lol. We ordered egg rolls for an appetizer. They tasted like a lean cuisine meal. Which if you had these you know these are at the bottom of the frozen food chain. Bleck. The dipping sauce was eck. We asked for ranch to make it edible. My daughter reluctantly ordered the jambalaya. We are from Louisiana and have pretty high standards for Cajun food. This wasn't good. I ordered a kale and quinoa salad and added blackened chicken. There was no quinoa on it or in it. The chicken tasted like it was flash frozen. It reeked of onions and so did my breath for the rest of the night. I took half to go but tossed it because of the horrible smell. Their dessert case looked amazing but we just were not feeling it after the food. It was my first time eating there and i was impressed, their menu is rather large, i would recommend looking through the shorter one online first to get an idea what you want, but the food was great, i had the stuffed shrimp, it was butterfly shrimp stuffed with crab meat and the herb stuffing, i thought the onions in the stuffing could have been smaller and cut smaller, the tasted a bit raw, my friend enjoyed his chicken parmesan it was a large helping of chicken and noodles with nice red tomatoes and it was very cheesy and the chicken was nice and tender and juicy and it was cooked perfect read more

I had the crab cake sandwich & I'm use to going places where they are not so sharing on the sizes of the crab cake but this one was huge & it's full of crab meat not just fillets to make up for the size , it had great flavor & the entire meal was fresh !
