We popped in here just before a movie and unfortunately, needed quick service. Although the restaurant delivered in every way, we didn't spend enough time to truly enjoy the atmosphere and the food. This is a great place to go to with a large group. Customer Service was okay and the atmosphere is fun/chill. I ordered their house sangria which did not taste likes sangria but more so like jungle juice from college, which wasn't a bad thing. I would order it again. For appetizer we order fries and mozzarella sticks/triangles. The fries were amazingggg the mozzarella sticks were just okay. I probably wouldn't order them again. For my entree I had their herb-salmon dish with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The dish was a 6 out of 10. I ate majority of it but expected more flavor from the presentation of the dish. My husband had their Sheppard Pie, he said it was just okay. It was very soupy, I've never seen Sheppard's pie look like that, I posted a picture so y'all can see. Disgusting costumer service. Christine the AGM has a nasty attitude. It's her way or the highway. Bryan GM was friendly but did nothing about my issue. The dish I ordered to take out for my birthday (The shellfish pot) had no lobster. And the lobster macaroni and cheese was disappointing. I called and asked if I can bring the food back and get it replaced with crab cakes but Christine only wanted to refund me $7 to take the lobster off because I had none, and the dish was almost $37. All I really wanted was to be refunded for the lobster macaroni and cheese and replace the pot. It's odd you can only refund me for the pot and the other dish I had was gross. Hopefully this matter can be resolved with corporate. Will I return. There is no way after all of the back and forth that I had to deal with. read more

This place is absolutely trash. Menu is beyond huge. There's like a billion items. I've been here twice and both times were an upset. Once as it opened and once a few months later. Figured the first was a fluke since it was new. Omg were we wrong. Both times the food took over an hour to arrive. Was cold and bland. I don't think we finished or even took it home for left overs. A family member showed up and sat with us after we ordered. They didn't even get a water until the server came back and asked how our food was. He was there for over 30 minutes waiting for a water! The wife and I come here about once a month. We appreciate the diverse menu. We always leave satisfied and tonight is no exception; our server, Destiny, was extremely friendly and helpful in deciding on entrees. My favorite menu item has been the brisket sandwhich, but today I tried the bangbang shrimp and chicken for the first time and enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

They had a big selection of Asian, Italian, & American food. Which is my favorite ! I honestly would've ordered half the menu if I could. I'm being generous because they just opened (& of course I had to check it out opening day). However, if this place had been open for awhile, it would get a harsher review. I was SO excited to try this place. (I mean, I was obsessed). I'm a vegetarian and I work in the mall so this was going to be my go-to place for great lunch options. We came at 5:20 and informed our waitress that we were there for happy hour. Fiancé & I both ordered a beer and asked what the bar bites were (again- on happy hour). He ordered she crab soup and I ordered the happy hour edamame potstickers. The soup came out looking (& apparently tasting) like it came out of a Campbell soup can. My potstickers were delicious - the dipping sauce spot on. I would definitely get it again. So, while finishing our apps, we went to put in another drink order. Fiancé states, "we would like to place another order before happy hour is up". That's when the waitress decided to let us know that you had to be seated at the bar. What?! Fiancé got a scallop po-boy with chips which was eh. My veggie burger though? Mind you- I'm the one still with high spirits and trying to love this place. My burger was cold. Not like, "okay it's kind of warm & must have been waiting for yours", but COLD -- as in, the cheese wasn't even melted. I had the best salad. Its a appraiser portion but plenty enough food for me. Fresh greens, very delicious. I recommend getting the dressing on the side as my veggies were swimming in it by the time I got to the bottom. We had the fried avocado for an appetizer, which was different but we likes it. Hubs had some kinda burger and I don't remember what it was but he liked it. All the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, as well as the beer. Very farm to table-ish. Came here for my birthday lunch. We were glad to see it wasn't packed and the noise was not super loud. Our server was atrwntive but not overbearong which I like a lot. The booths are large and comfortable. The menu is HUGE. I dont think I have ever seen so many choices in one place, at least not for food. We decided to split some apps. A good choice as tje three appetizers filled us up. We ordered the mini burgers, dim sum, and nachos. The nachos we added beef too and they were a little dry. The dim sum was good but parts were over cooked and dry. Though their Thai peanut sauce is apparently awesome. The mini burgers were tasty but again dry. I feel like this restuarant suffers from trying to do too much. Instead of picking one or two thungs to do well they do everything okay. I personally dont thibk I will return on my own unless a friend really wants to come here. I would rather enjoy somewhere focused on doing something really well, then a place that seems to aim to be mediocre. 3 stars for service, as that was the only thing that saved it. read more

Tried out this place last night, surprisingly pretty good. We went around 7pm on a Saturday night and it was not busy. We sat at the bar, comfortable seats! We had heard about their complimentary breadsticks they give out but never received them. We asked the bartender and they said they don't give them out at the bar normally. We did get them and they were similar to Olive Garden. My husband got the bang bang shrimp and he loved it! Not a huge portion but decent size l. I got the chicken Milanese and it was delicious! Huge portion too ! The only con was the fresh noodles on the bottom were not evenly cooked. Some bites were really hard! I can tell this place is new because the bartenders were still getting their routine down. There were 3 bartenders and they were all tending to us but a little too much. Literally every 2 minutes one of them was asking us if we needed anything. Overall I think this is a great addition to the Lynnhaven area, and has a great bar selection too! We have been going to Maggie's for a little over a year now and we usually go on Friday nights and/ or Sunday afternoon/evenings. We are very pleased to walk in and see Dre behind the bar and Cory running around checking on everyone with a big smile. It makes a difference. Some other bartenders have come and gone and we enjoyed them too but now is a good time to be a regular at Maggie's. The atmosphere on a Friday nights with the low lights makes all your bling sparkle- I love that. Sunday afternoons are always interesting- especially during football season. I've been here once before and didn't really like their food. In my opinion, their food is very bland and overpriced. However, my husband wanted to try it because he had never been and we were already near the location, so we decided to go. We waited about 25 minutes for a hostess to even greet us. Many waiters and waitresses passed us without even a word. Finally, someone came to greet us and said it would just be a few more minutes until we were seated and she left the hostess stand unattended once again. 10 minutes of still waiting to be seated we and other people who were waiting decided to leave. Was eager to try this place. Went in for a beer and a nice meal. At first the service was not that great. The waitress was not the charismatic. Seemed as though we were bothering her. The food came out and it was pretty good. The spinach dip was great. It came with a variety of things to dip it in and that was nice. I ordered the vegan ravioli and it was good. Could have used a little more flavor but it's Vegan. My friend ordered the Louisiana pasta. She thoroughly enjoyed it. The left overs were good as well. The draft beer was nice. I had a yeungling. This place has one of the best menus in this area. When they are on point they are awesome, unfortunately some of the people that work there are trouble at customer service. The last two times I have ordered to go my food was cold. Most likely cause noone wants to work the to-go counter. I have a love/hate relationship with Maggie McFlys. I'm gluten free and they have so much to choose from so that is great. I really like all of the food I've had. The potato skins are my favorite, sweet potato fries are great, and the burger salad is also very good. It is kid friendly and my kids enjoy going there. There is a lot for them to choose from on the kids menu which is always nice. But the service is awful!!!!! I've eaten there probably ten times now and we've never had good service. The last three times we were there it's gotten even worse. The servers are friendly but it takes such a long time for them to come over to your table. Then it takes forever for them to bring your drinks, food, and check. I've noticed I'm not the only person who thinks the service is bad. We were there over the weekend and the table had to flag down a waiter because they were sitting there forever and no one came to take their order. I'm not sure if they are short staffed or just don't have enough people working since the restaurant is so large but they need to do something about the service. Also, the restaurant smelled as soon as we walked in. It just smelled musty and stale like the floors needed and really thorough deep cleaning. The handicapped stall in the women's room has the changing table and the door never seems to work the right way. You think it's locked but it's not actually locked. I've had someone walk in on me and I've seen it happen to two other people. I told the waitress about it and she said that happens all the time. Ok, then fix it! Again, the food is great and there is a lot to choose from but they really need to do something about the service or we won't be back. read more

I recently went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday. The service was terrible waiter messed up almost everyone's order. I order coconut shrimp, and apparently they ran out, but I was never told so I sat there while the whole table ate until the waiter came back and asked who was missing food. Ask to speak to manager she made no accommodations to the situation. Lastly my card was charged twice after paying and and I was told that the first payment would not go through well it did and I called them and they said they would call me back. Went there today, fathers day, walked right in and got seated in less than 30 seconds. There were about 25 others waiting for seats, I'm assuming their entire party wasn't there yet who knows. Anywho once we got seated and ordered, our food came out right away and was so tasty. The only negative was my Pepsi, it was flat and i had to send it back. Other than that i give this place 5 stars, my experience was great ad i loved that the restaurant was CLEAN. I hate a sticky floor and table. I didn't know what to expect when coming here, but I am so glad I did!! The food is amazing, and with over 150 items to choose from- it can be overwhelming. The only issue- which was a non issue really- is the time waiting for your food or drinks from the bar. The restaurant is definitely 5 stars!!! Great food, gigantic menu, something to suit everyone! We got the crab dip appetizer- not the best I've had but it was still good. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie. It was so so good. Wonderful savory gravy and fluffy mashed potatoes. The ground beef was definitely a higher grade and more like a chopped burger than a plain browned meat. It was top notch. My husband ordered the Bang Bang shrimp and chicken- 4/5 stars. He also got a Manhattan but it didn't seem like it was made correctly and came in a martini glass. That was a little strange. The service killed our experience! Our server sent all of our food and drinks to the wrong table. He did get the orders correct though. That's all The good I can say! We asked multiple times for refills (for the same refill!) then he switched the drinks. We waited over 20 minutes after finishing eating for him to return. We then asked for our check and a box for our food. He came back to get our food to box it. Came back about 5-10 minutes later without the food and with the WRONG check. Another 10 minutes later he returned with our check but it was still wrong. At that point my husband offered to take the check to the bar to pay but the server promised to take care of it immediately. After all was said and done, we spent more time waiting for a check than we did waiting. read more

Heard about this new place, decided to give it a try. The place looked great, very nice decor. The menu was huge ala Cheesecake factory so deciding what to get took a while. The items on the menu looked great. There's something for everyone on there. The good: friendly wait staff, good atmosphere, great selection on menu, food was tasty. The fries were great! The bad: a couple of dishes were messed up. I ordered the bbq chicken sandwich. It was supposed to have bbq sauce (of course) & a crispy onion ring among other items but they were missing. I didn't really think about it until I was almost done so I didn't say anything. My wife got the hummus which was supposed to come with tortilla chips and vegetables to dip in the hummus but they were missing. When she questioned the waitress, she came back out with the veggies but still no tortilla chips. We'll probably go back and give them another try just because the menu looked so good. I had planned to celebrate St. Patrick's Day right this evening with a corned beef and cabbage meal. Since I knew there would be run on this meal, I called Maggie McFly's early at 3:45 for a pickup at 7:00. When I called I was told there was no way they could take an order that early. After explaining that I was worried there would be none left due to a high demand, I was brushed off with a condescending, "There's nothing to worry about. Call back in a few hours." Well, I called back at 6:30 and was told that they were all out of corned beef WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY I CALLED AT 3:45! Did I receive any empathy from the one who took my or any sort of explanation? No. No, I did not. Of course, I realize that certain dishes can run out due to a high demand, but to dismiss my concerns with a cavalier, "There's nothing we can do" is the reason I will never patronize Maggie McFly's in the future. Came here with my kids for lunch my son ordered fried clam strips which he initially was advised they were out and to chose something different until another waiter came and stated they were in so he ordered them. I ordered crab dip for appetizer which came out runny see picture. I asked the waiter is this the right consistency she stated it was which was totally bad on the waiter. I ordered my meal which was lightly fried coconut shrimp and it cane back burnt in some areas and the manager states to me they are supposed to be that way. Disclaimer: This rating is simply for our food. I'd been wanting to try this place for awhile but the mixed reviews on yelp kept me at bay. After a coworker kept talking about how nice it was we gave in and stopped by for lunch one weekend, the place has a unique and interesting set up, the menu is HUGE. Our server was kind and checked on us often but both of our meals let us down, we both got burgers....I ordered medium well and got well, my beau ordered medium and got a well done burger as well. we were starving and decided to push on....the burgers were dry and flavorless, the toppings had more pizazz than the actual burger, the fries were reminiscent of frozen school cafeteria fries...I ended up taking my food home for my doggie to enjoy, my partner was soo disappointed he didn't bother to take his food home ( neither of us actually finished our meals). We wont give this place a second try....the food was extremely underwhelming... don't be like us kids, heed the warnings in the other reviews. read more
