I love this place! Their Sunday brunch is amazing. Their burgers are amazing. The local pasta was amazing. The service is amazing. It does stink that you have to deal with the mall parking, and it is a chain restaurant, but the food and service quality make the place feel like a home-town classic with a 5-Star menu experience. Underwhelming to keep it nice! We popped in for Afternoon nosh and drinks last Saturday and probably won't be back! The great thing is it is wonderfully decorated and bar stools super comfy! The bad thing is the menu is so large and confusing you can't decide what you want! Page after page, we started with deviled eggs tasty! An ahi tuna roll tasty but small for price, calamari flavorless, fried mac and cheese tasteless. The beer list is okay but you pay a premium over other places for crafts! The real bad the walk to the bathroom was interesting as the floor felt like it was silicon and the mens room needs help mold in grout, dirty feeling and same slick floor. The lighting umm don't point bright spotlights at bar stools. Not sure well be interested in going back, to pricey for portions and noisy with a small crowd. read more

Great atmosphere and staff. Went here on a Sunday evening and not much of a wait. Fast service. Only hiccup was our appetizer came just a few minutes before our meal because they kept messing it up. Oh and our drink were pretty weak. I didn't even get a buzz...we got a mule and vodka tonic. I almost just cancelled the appetizer but felt bad for the waitress. I bit the burger an realized that it didn't have an bbq sauce on it an told the waitress an she said she was going to have them remake the burger...so later on she bout me the same burger back out smh ( at this point the burger was cold) an she asked me to taste it an see if it was ok... at an restaurant staff knows that if it's not right you remake it you don't bring the same burger back to the customer...the service was horrible but it was an nice place to go that's the only good part... it was an Monday night and it wasn't packed in there it was no more than 25 people in there... Like a wanna-be Cheesecake Factory. I've been here twice and I hear you get free bread sticks but I still haven't been brought any yet. A very big menu with lots to choose from. A huge drink list and a bunch of desserts but nothing ever seems to be more than average. The service is fast for having such a big menu and having a lot of people. One of the best places that I can take my family and kids to enjoy a great meal with the right portions and selections for my kids. All of us enjoyed the place. The menu has food that is sourced locally when is a plus. I love that the place is clean and bright. I will come back again. Was so excited about coming back after a great first meal. Came back for lunch-not too busy- was so disappointed! On a positive note- our sides were piping hot. (French fries and Brussel Sprouts). I had the blackened chicken sandwich-very little taste-and barely warm. My husband was excited about the lobster grilled cheese. This came out burnt (see picture) and like my sandwich very little taste. The waitress did not bring out the garlic bread despite asking if we wanted them (we did). Service--especially for lunch (on a weekday) was extremely slow. 25 minutes to receive our food after ordering. Considering my sandwich was barely warm...again disappointing. . Service was somewhat disappointing too-our waitress did not come by once during the wait for our food. I will come back one more time since my first visit was so good. I've been a weekly visitor to Maggie McFly's for over a year. We have always been satisfied with our waiter, Alex. Unfortunately, he is no longer there. We even supported them during Covid closures with takeout. During our visit last week, our waitress had added an additional tip on top of what was already given to her. We reported the incident to the Manager along w our copy of the receipt and bank statement with the cleared charge. The Manager stated she would look into it. By the end of our meal, we called her back to see how she was going to handle since our current bill had not been adjusted. We had to ask for the additional tip to be refunded. We received no apology and our experience has left us questioning is this regular practices of their staff. The criminal action and lack of management concern leaves me to write this review. Be sure when paying by credit card to review all charges or pay by cash. read more

My husband and I came here often and eat at the bar. Service has always been good and food excellent. I recommended it for an after work get together. Worst experience ever. Service was horrendous. Took over 30 minutes to even place an order. Gave us one server who unfortunately wasn't able to handle anything. After several complaints and almost walking out we were given one other server who wouldn't even let us talk to the manager. When we complained enough we were finally given two people to help, which actually didn't make much difference. One finally said she was the manager for the night. And a very poor one at that. They comped us our drinks, although only half of us got drinks, an appetizer that served 4 when there were 14 of us. Gave two of us gift cards as birthday gifts which I tried to have them apply to the total food order they wouldn't discount. Which gift cards they wouldn't apply, and then tried to charge me for the gift cards which I hadn't even asked for! A two hour dinner didn't end until almost 3 hours, but it sure left an impression. The food here is good but this experience was the absolute worst ever. I may go back, but only to discuss this situation with a general manager who needs to know what actually happened, because I'm sure the real story won't reach that person. read more

Visited this location yesterday for lunch and was not impressed. Service and food was mediocre at best. Service was slow even to get water on the table after ordering drinks. This is a list of food the table ordered from best tasting to worst: 1) French fries-hot, crispy, tasty, well seasoned 2) Chicken nuggets- crispy, cut from chicken pieces, came out hot and flavorful, they gave you a generous amount from the kids menu. 3)Meat cravers pizza- crust excellent, sauce was just the right consistency, BUT the pizza was a little soggy when picking it up. 4) Buffalo chicken sandwich- buffalo sauce was not to spicy, the cheese was melted to perfection, overall taste was good. BUT the bun was burnt unfortunately and the breaded chicken was soggy because the sandwich sat for to long before it was brought out to the table. 5)Bistro Shrimp scampi- pasta was cooked well, the 3 shrimp given was large and cooked well BUT seasoning was nonexistent, the roasted garlic pieces were crunchy not soft and the sauce was bland 6) the last order was the Maggie Mcfly's cheese tortellini with sweet Italian sausage added. Instead I received the Sausage Cavatelli with tortellini added. -very underwhelmed with the dish, seasoning was nonexistent, had to ask for the ingredients that went into the original dish (bacon, cheese) and it still did not taste right. Tortellini was not soft enough, didn't seem cooked well at all. Overall the ambience and decor were great. The service was lacking, looked to be a lot of new waiters/waitresses with little experience but willing to learn and do better. In my opinion there are way to many options on the menu. This restaurant is the jack of all dishes but the master of none....or very few. read more

I went to Maggie McFly's tonight for the second time. I asked the bartender Chris for recommendations and he pointed out the seasonal menu. I decided to try the Ahi Tuna Bites. I really liked the Sriracha aioli that came with the tuna bites. I ordered them medium and they were cooked great. My boyfriend ordered the surf and turf which was amazingggg. The manager Killian stopped by and asked us how everything was. It was nice to see a manager stopping by to check on multiple guests. Our drinks were constantly full which is something I always look for at a restaurant. I really enjoyed the beer selection and the ambience at the bar. The other bartender Maya checked on us a few times. She was also extremely friendly and accommodating. We ordered a Godiva chocolate cake for dessert which was amazing. I have sent food back and refused to eat twice in my entire life, this was one of them. Burger was sent out with no bacon and way overcooked (was asked temp, said medium, came out really close to well done), had little-to-no seasoning (very bland). Waitress was kind, but service was really slow (restaurant was nearly empty at 1:30-ish on a Sunday-that should've been clue #1). Incredibly overpriced for quality and quantity of food. Frozen bagged fries, frozen onion ring on burger, poor quality all the way around for a $15 burger. Fiancé's bowl meal wasn't much better. Bland and undercooked veggies. Walked out. Was not impressed with the place. No one greeted us at the hostess stand. All the wait staff was hanging out in the back. Technically the rating should be 2.5.... Ordered the chicken blasts and onion rings off the bar bites menu. The chicken was dry, under sauced, and one of the pieces was mangled like someone chose to hack into it to see if it was done- it appeared half chewed. Onions rings just tasted like fried panko with no evidence of onion. First impression while walking in... this place appears to be super cute with high booths and a good lookin bar in the center with bar stools that appear more comfortable than the norm. The bartender provided us with a little info of the menu and drink list... while we were deciding what to order, we asked if she would put on the Cubs game and her eyes got real big when she said give me a minute and I'll change it. I watched her make two drinks for tickets that were up, totally understandable, but then I watched her count money, lock up some in a lock box, add some things to a list on an envelope, and talk to co-workers. Then, while she was yelling that someone was at the front door- I asked again if she would change the channel- LOW AND BEHOLD, the remote is resting nicely behind the cabinet where she stood... not even the hrs task that her eyes had implied when asked the first time LOL. I try my best to be fair with my reviews. This happening didn't have too much bearing on it, though it is a surprising experience for first timers to an otherwise empty bar. Food that was ordered was less than mediocre and will not return solely because of that. Ok, I finally had the chance to check this place out after much anticipated wait. Let me just say this.. The 2 stars were for ambience only. Ordered the O'Connors stout chicken tenders w fries. After waiting quite a while for a slow Monday night.. They brought out a very small portion..As my friend put it "Is that the kids plate?"...Dry, tasteless, very small portion especially for the price. They definitely were not beer battered chicken tenders! And the fries were old and bland.. For the price...NOT worth it. (Paying for that pretty ambience I guess). My friend's order was wrong as well. I will give them this, they were very accommodating in fixing the issues. The burger I got instead was not too bad. I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries. All in all.. I'd probably only go back for a drink and simple apps. read more

This was my first time eating here. First of all, the menu is HUGE and offers a lot of great options for every diet. The price range is pretty affordable. I did have a $12 margarita that I was kind of confuses about why it was so much but other than that everything was literally so good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I had some of the bar bites to start which was a great deal for $4. And I had a turkey and stuffing sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and it was just divine. Not a very picky person but this restaurant had an amazing menu with endless options, however it was a huge disappointment. Fried Mozzarella was not even melted at all. The food combinations did not taste right and everything had an aesthetic appeal, but was very mediocre. There was hardly anybody in the restaurant but plenty of servers and runners, yet our food still took an absurd amount of time to come out. Service was very poor & lacking. I had high hopes based off of menu & venue but felt that the meal prep & flavoring of each entree was neglected. Also the drinks were not strong at all. This restaurant used to be good when it first opened, but has gone down hill. 830 on a Saturday night and it's barely busy. Which is unusual for its location. Drinks took forever to get despite the bar being empty. Food took forever and came out in complete. The sandwich I got came out with burnt chicken and was sauceless. My boyfriend's had an odd after taste. Our server was completely clueless that anything was wrong when we asked for the check with half eaten meals. And then took forever to pick up the check. Dined in last night (Tuesday 7/21) and it was not crowded at all which was wonderful during this Pandemic. The restaurant staff and customers were practicing social distancing by seating every other booth. You had to have a mask to even enter the building. Employees were all wearing masks properly and gloves and took precaution when serving us. Our waitress, Julia, was attentive, personable, and extremely pleasant. She suggested several entrees and appetizers to us... all of which were delicious. She seemed to have a lot of knowledge of the great big menu - I had the Barbie Dreamhouse martini which was a suggestion of hers and it was beautiful and overall tasty. We then shared a few appetizers such as the brussel sprouts, giant pretzel and the devilled eggs. YUM! My husband asked her what her favorite IPA on tap was and she suggested Virginia Beer Company - Freeverse. He enjoyed all 23 oz of it. For meals we had chicken parm and a sausage and goat cheese pizza which was cooked to perfection. Nice and crispy, like I asked. When we thought we had all we could take she brought over a desert menu and we had to indulge in the cupcakes. We had a wonderful time there last night and will be back again with some friends next time. All of the employees seemed to work very well as a team and the manager seemed to have control over all of the things going on. She was helping the bar, helping run the food, and assisting the staff. The restrooms were very clean too. We were pleasantly surprised of how wonderful this place was. Next time we'll be back to try something different - everything sounds amazing. read more

Was invited here for my best friends birthday dinner. From the very beginning it seemed like a disaster to me. We were sat next to a heaping pile of disgusting smelling garbage. I couldn't even focus on any conversations because the smell was horrible. No one came to even remove it until an hour into the dinner. Service was slow yet pushy. I ordered the Maine lobster dish and it was served cold with no melted butter. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the melted butter so the dish got colder. The lobster was overcooked and chewy. It took so long to get my butter, most everyone else was done eating and the waitress was asking what we all wanted for dessert. The crab puffs were recommended by waitstaff and came out cold and disgusting. There were things floating in my drink. The list could go on. I was not happy at all and will not return. read more

I've been here a couple of times and the drinks are good especially the raspberry martini. But the food is just average and really not that great. I went here this afternoon with my husband and decided to try something safe like fish n chips and it was DISGUSTING!! The first time they brought out my food it was cold and had no seasoning. We tried this new place today and so glad we did. They just opened on Tuesday and really have it together for only being open a short time. It is bright, open and inviting. Lots of bar seating as well ample outdoor seating. Our bartender was friendly and personable. The menu is huge with lots of options for everyone including a lot of gluten free choices. Extensive craft beer and whiskey select, as well as specialty cocktails, some that glow from a very cool electric ice cube. We started with pretzels which were very good served with a cheese sauce and a maple bacon mustard. I had the fish n chips which are now on my list as the best of the beach, fish was light and flaky with a light batter. My husband had the Maggie Burrito which was delicious and it came with a quinoa and corn salad that was out of this world. The only thing that prevents me from giving a 5 star is it would be nice if the bartenders knew which beers are on tap. We were asking about some rotating taps and all they could tell us was a Hardywood porter or a Lickinghole Stout.... We like to know the actual name so we can tell if we have had it before or not. Decided to try this place for the first time today for a late lunch. Was excited to see that they were serving brunch till 2pm. I sat at the bar and both of my servers were very attentive and nice. I ordered the Farm Fresh eggs from the brunch menu. I asked for Medium well eggs and they were cooked as I like them. The meal also came with Toast and Home Fries. Wasn't a big fan of the Home Fries. They looked really greasy and tasted that way too. Not an appealing side at all. I also got an ad-on order of applewood smoked bacon (over $3 ad-on). The bacon was cooked how I like it but was a little cold and I wasn't a fan of how they served it over some lettuce and it had what looked like a sprig of rosemary on it. Not appealing. At least the toast was good. They also didn't have grape or strawberry Jelly which I thought was weird. They brought me some sort of cherry jelly. It was pretty good but not what I wanted. Lastly I had a shot of Espresso that was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Do not get coffee from this place. It was also over $3.00. What a rip off. How are you going to charge that much for a shot of espresso and it tastes that bad? They served it with a rock sugar Lollipop and a curly lemon slice. I don't know what they were going for here but it wasn't good. There is a similar restaurant up in DC and Tyson's Corner called "Founding Farmers". Management please send someone up there on a trip to eat their Breakfast, and brunch and have some of their pour over coffee. You will change how you do things. read more

The menu is overwhelming. This is not a place where you're going to get a quick bite. You need time to look over your options. However when you do order, the portions are huge well worth the price. The pasta tasted funny , but the next day it tasted fine. Guess it needed a night to sit and settle since it's fresh. Atmosphere is pretty unique, food is amazing. Lots of items to pick from 150 to be exact. Very extensive wine, beer, and cocktail list. Kid friendly. We stumbled upon Maggie McFly's while looking for a place to eat. Both Red Lobsters were no longer seating customers (it was 7:45) and Carraba's had a 45 minute wait. Let me tell you how GLAD I am that these restaurants couldn't seat us. Maggie McFly's had delicious food and great service. We had the spinach and artichoke dip and it was awesome. It came with homemade chips, delicious bread, veggies, and tortilla chips. For our main meals my adult daughter had stuffed shrimp, my 10yo grand had crab cakes, and I had the shrimp risotto. It was the best risotto I have ever eaten. We each took bites of each other's food and everyone loved all of the dishes. My grandson ordered grilled cheese and applesauce from the kids menu and it was tasty and elegantly served. Out server was Sydney and she was AWESOME! Super friendly and gave us pointers about VB and the menu. We will definitely be returning to Maggie McFlys and since we live in VB it is going to be our new GO TO place to eat and drink.
