Wanted to see what all the hype is about so we decided to go for dinner. We got seated instantly and realize that it's not very baby stroller friendly there was not enough space for a stroller, we had to fold it up and put the car seat on a chair. Our server was very prompt,had a nice attitude and was very friendly. We ordered the brussel sprouts for an appetizer. It came out and the garlic was burnt. Brunt garlic doesn't really taste good on food. The Brussels sprouts were hard also, could have cooked them a little longer. The sauce on the bottom was very good. Then we ordered a chicken Parmesan for dinner and the chicken Costello (sp?). The portions are huge. The chicken parm was good, the noodles it came with was still very hard, they could have cooked it longer. The sauce was very tart and it could have been season a little bit more. The chicken Costello was huge. The lemon sauce was a little bit too much for the dish. It didn't seem to blend in with it. I was truly excited to take my wife somewhere special,beings we can do thing as one often. Did I ever make a mistake by my choice! Our food by all means with no lie,amazing. What we witnessed was saddening. The table behind ours had what looked to be Legal drinking age adults. The young lady waitress asked for ID on two of them & not the other two. Scary right? Well guess what!? They celebrated due to finding a place the all could drink without getting caught. I myself approach a member of management,the attitude I received was totally appalling, I was spoken to very rude my her & when she was finished speaking turned walked away. We were down at the beach and went to Maggie McFly's for dinner. I ordered one of the light up martinis, it was amazing tasting and so much fun. We ordered some awesome apps which were inexpensive and very tasty. Their menu is very extensive and fresh. We ended our night with apple crisp for dessert. I was super disappointed with my food. I ordered a side salad and artichoke spinach dip. The salad was made with iceberg lettuce Which was entirely white. The tomatoes were not fresh, and the most flavorful part of the salad was the dressing. I could not even even eat the artichoke spinach dip. I will have to go home to add spinach and flavor. When I shared feedback with the manager, he just made excuses and talked over my comments at first. He had the kitchen remake the dip, however what I wanted was for him to understand the quality of the food and he definitely misses the mark! I will not return to this establishment. I was really disappointed at my time at Maggie McFly's. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it came out with hardened/uncooked noodles and the sauces was extremely watery. I heard there was a new restaurant that opened at the Lynnhaven Mall so I decided to take a ride over there last night with my 6 year old for dinner to check it out. The outside looked really neat and when you walk in the door - WOW! The decor was beautiful and the ambience was exciting. They sat me and my daughter in a large spacious booth which was very comfy and nice. The menu had so many options I had a hard time deciding what to order. As I turned through the pages in the menu, the server was very helpful in offering some recommendations. They have a lot of dishes that use ingredients sourced from local farmers as well as family owned businesses which I LOVE. That alone really put this restaurant notches above any other eating establishments in this area. There were sooo many dinner choices to pick from - steak, seafood, pasta - I ended up opting for a Farm to Table Burger which was amazing! I was VERY happy with my choice. As for my 6 year old, she also had numerous selections to pick from instead of the usual 4 or 5 choices that you normally see on a children's menu. I was also happy to see that their children's menu was part of the Healthy Dining's Kids Live Well Program and ordered my daughter Turkey Burger Sliders with a side of fruit. She was super happy and ate the whole thing! My daughter also ordered one of their cool looking cupcakes called Candy Explosion that they get from a baker out of Chesapeake it was really neat! Maggie's has a great vibe inside and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I saw many other intriguing dishes being served to other tables as well as fancy cocktails (some with cool looking lights in them) and I can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes, as well as a cocktail without the kiddies on what looked like a beautiful firepit patio. Having just opened in May this year, I never knew about this place. Happened upon it while looking online for a new place to eat. We were very impressed, not only with the food but also the décor. Ordered the Seafood Platter. Way to many tasteless fries but I think it's to hide the lack of seafood. I don't like having to hunt for my main dish in a side. Placed an order Togo. Let's start off with the phone line. I had to call three times just to get through. Once someone the server on the line was rushing me to place my order. At the end when normally they tell you the total of the order, she hung the phone up. Tried to call back to get the total but the line just continued to ring. Now the interesting part. Arrived to the store to pick up the order. The host was busy doing whatever at the front stood there for about 30 seconds before she acknowledged me. Then told her the name for the pickup order. Get this the order was just sitting at the front in a bag not under any heat or anything. Actually where the bag was it seem to be where they wrap the utensils. Me thinking okay maybe the food still be nice in hot. (I live not even five mins away). When it was time to pay the host finally gave me the total and I was paying cash. The host told me the total was $107. Great I had $100 in cash and the rest went on card. So when I told her that I was doing split payments she looked at the guy that was wrapping the utensils (happy he had on gloves A+ for him. Don't see that often) then she rudely walked away and started talking to the other host. He had to call her back over to take my money. Thank God for him. Gave her the money and the card. She placed the money on the counter top and looked at him to finish my payment. He looked back at her like (I have gloves on I can't touch the money) nothing but respect for him. She then proceeded to give me the bag of food. It seem that she wanted to throw it at me because when I turned towards her she almost dropped the bag on the floor but I caught the other end just in time. Then she turned to walk away and I ask her a simple question. Does it come with bread she looked at me like I was slow/stupid and said naw it don't and started to smirk as I walked out. Got home food had to be rewarm because it was cold (remind you I love 5 mins away). My partner was missing lobster out of one dish and the Mac and cheese was horrible. Called to get it replaced but that went south needlessly to say. My partner had it on speaker the AGM WAS RUDE AS HELL, but the GM was nice but he couldn't do much about the Mac and cheese. With gas being high the AGM wanted me to drive back to the store to give her the food and refund me $7 for my partner not having lobster. Asked to speak to the GM he was very respectful and understanding and apologetic and refunded for the shellfish pot but nothing for the Mac and cheese. Hope my partner get a response from Maggie's. The way that AGM was acting it should be call Christine's way or no way. read more

Came here for a late lunch today with a group of six. Walked in and the atmosphere and decorations were appealing. Restaurant and restroom were clean. However service just to get our drinks took more than 10 minutes!! Workers walked past and didn't bat an eye. Then we got up and we were about to leave. That's when one of the workers came rushing over and told us that they were just about to get a waitress over to our table. We were hungry so we decided to stay. I asked for a coffee but then they said stated that their coffee machine broke. Their menus were very thick, about 1 1/2 inches, and I counted 18 pages. The backs of the pages were advertisements for their restaurant or another brand. I had trouble deciding what to eat because there was so much items to choose from. I chose the French Dip. The reason why I didn't give this establishment a one star was because of the food. My friend ordered a cheeseburger, but they forgot the cheese so we had to return it. The food made up for the horrible service. If the service was better next time I would give this place a 3-4 stars. Hopefully I'll be better next time. read more

Looks like a pretty cool place. Just stopped in and ordered a couple of appetizers. The crab dip and Thai lettuce wraps. The crab dip happened to look and taste like spinach and artichoke with a hint of crab. Um it's not crab dip so take it off the menu already!! Ridiculous!! The table behind us complained too so it is not just me. I am not one for sending food back but the waiter took it before I had a chance to say it's okay. It tasted good just no crab meat. After about 5 minutes someone brought us a bowl with a big homemade chip sticking out of it and the bowl had some missing. The same bowl of dip we had before. this time I sent it back and they took it off the bill. The kids pasta meal mediocre at best does not come with a side or drink. Hmm okay. Now let's get to the lettuce wraps; the chicken although very dry and sauces tasted good but t he lettuce was too small to hold anything. Never coming back here. read more

Waiting time wasn't worth the food! The veggie burger patty is uncooked, soft and falls apart! The additional fee for sweet potato fries for children is ridiculous (4.99) I tried a few appetizers, ahi nachos, literally 12 nachos for $12 (steep) I did enjoy the veggie potstickers and the roasted cauliflower dip was only ok! Best thing was the kids menu, they had generous sized portions! But the adults were less than pleased! MAYBE we will come back and try different plates but as it is, plus the wait time, 2 stars max! read more

Reading a lot of the reviews, I hope that Maggie's settles into a better routine of consistently good customer service, and that some folks having less than great experiences will give them a second try. But, from my personal perspective, having been there 4-5 times, I could not be more pleased. The bar area is spacious and comfortable, with a great selection of local beers and some rotating taps for aficionados. It has great ambience and music. The bartenders have always been attentive and friendly. I'm fond of the $4 bar bites, and have sampled the majority of them, being a particular fan of the Old Bay wings and Nodine's Apple Smoked Bacon. The pizza is quite good, too. I'm proud to call myself a regular and it's now my "Go To" place for a pint for incredible happy hour prices. read more

I'm from southbury, CT so I grew up eating at Maggie's and wanted to give the new location a try. The decor is pretty and more modern than other locations but it still feels comfortable, love all of the booths. The service was great I just think this location might end up with the same issues as the other ones. Too many menu options and while there are definitely some good choices you kind of have to find something you like and stick with it. The menu is poorly organized and there are too many pages trying to highlight the locally sourced food. It's nice but detracts from the actual menu. Might be better to have the drink menu separate. The actual nacho chips are really good but the toppings are boring and the sides came on a really small plate with no sides so it was hard to scoop. Chicken strips are good and my husband liked the pulled pork burger but there was a pool of greasy liquid on the plate after he was done. Fries are just ok, bland and kind of chewy. I love that they try to use a lot of local ingredients but maybe some improvements to the basics would help the quality. read more

Been wanting to go there since I realized it's been opened. Went for brunch with my family. The lighting and ambience is great! Our brunch was delicious! Very flavorful, we chose the chicken tenders & fries for our toddler, mom had Western omelette, hubby & I had the crab hash with sides of pancakes & French toast. Too much food but we're foodies. Everything was great. The food was well seasoned and our service was great. Our waitress was Autumn who was warm & friendly. They have great teamwork going on there from my observation. Went during a week day- very slow service, which was carried out by the hostess. Great menu options with a vast variety!! We had pretzels as an appetizer, great choice to share amongst two. This by far has been the worst service I've ever had. We were seated 1 hour after our reservation due to someone not writing our names down. Now that I have finally been seated, I've been waiting for my drink for 30 mins. 20 min into the wait I was told my original drink was not available. I've place a second order that I'm still waiting for. We have not even been given waters that I've ordered 2 times for the table. We went here for dinner with my boyfriend and his parents. Usually we love this place, but we haven't been in about a year or two. This time around our food was mediocre at best. We really enjoyed the starter of macaroni and cheese balls and ended up ordering a second round of them. For dinner, my boyfriends stepdad ordered some terriyaki bowl that he said lacked flavor. I ordered the gyro- I was hoping for lamb but our waiter said they were out (it was a Saturday night, so I was surprised by this). I got the steak gyro instead and it was very very salty. We all ordered a myriad of drinks, and I LOVED the iced Carmel Macchiato. I tried to order a tiramisu cocktail, but they said they were out of that as well. They said it was a new menu item, but my question is was if they don't even have the ingredients for it yet why would it be on the menu? All in all it was an ok experience, but I was disappointed because of our previously good experiences. read more

First time here and seem very inviting. The food on the other hand is not all that good, for example, their Maggie Wings, TOO salty and dry...I could literally just eat 3 and that's pushing it. Their chicken salad, looks like those bags of lettuce from Walmart and they just added, shredded chicken, and called it chicken salad. Lastly alfredo fettuccini, either it's not enough sauce or it's just serve dry...the taste was blah. Overall, our experience for our first time is not good at all. **UPDATE:** Went back again late this afternoon. Another nearly perfect visit. I have to commend them because while most places suffer through growing pains in first months of being open, I have seen none of that during my two visits to Maggie's. Brianna and Crystal were just great, and so was my Dogfish Head. For dinner I ordered the fish and chips. Super moist Scrod with a great beer batter using our local O'Connor Brewing Co. Stout. The chips (fries) were rather good, though not the best I've ever had. The coleslaw was fresh and nicely dressed with a great balance of sweet and tart. The accompanying tartar sauce was creamy, lemony and delicious. Oh, and I almost forgot! I started with velvety smooth deviled eggs topped with super crispy bits of Nodine's applewood smoked bacon. The best eggs I've had outside of my Southern grandma's! The Dessert list was quite extensive and looked very tempting. I opted for a chocolate milkshake. Rich and satisfying with whipped cream topping. I'll say one thing, you won't go home hungry at Maggie's! read more
