    Hayden 420 and fries

It was so yummy. My husband and I both got the Hayden's 420 burger and laughed our heads off when we saw how big it was. It was delicious.

This was the best hamburger I've ever had in my entire life. Good size, quality meat, cooked to perfection. I'm dreaming about going back to Ouray just for this! Service is pretty simple, you go to the counter and place your order and wait for them to call your name. Then you head to a table of your choice and enjoy. Ambience - It looks like a dive inside with lots of writing all over the walls, seems to be a trendy thing to do for anyone visiting. Don't let that deter you this place is the best.

Cheeseburger and a mountain of fries $10.20

Came here based on reviews! It didn't disappoint! All items included fries or coleslaw. And they were very generous with the fries! We got a cheeseburger and a brat. Both were fantastic! How they can offer food for so cheap in a tourist town, I have no idea. Do yourself a favor and just go!!

We stopped on our way through. A cute town with good parking on side streets if you can't find it on the street. There is a good variety of sandwiches and hamburgers. Onion rings are on point. Plenty of seating. Whether you want to sit inside or outside. We sat outside so we can ppl watch too. Inside they have the fixings bar in front of the window.

We ate lunch here yesterday! The food was overall pretty good, with a couple misses. The BBQ burger was HUGE! My son said he'd have to dislocate his jaw to get his mouth around it! The fries were similar to Five Guys, which is a very good thing! The coleslaw was exceptional as well. I love good coleslaw, and I am usually disappointed by what accompanies sandwiches at most restaurants. What could have been better: the onion rings were so close to being very good! The breading on them was light. They need to use SWEET onions and add a little more salt to the breading, and the onion rings would be stellar. The chicken fried steak was mid. My daughter said the white gravy on the steak tasted like the Pioneer country gravy mix you buy at the store. We did not care for the decor of the inside of the restaurant. There was handwriting scribbles all over the tables, walls, ceiling--everywhere. It just made the restaurant feel a little grimy. In spite of the criticisms, I will return on a future visit to Ouray!

Dumpy burger joint where this fat boy fell in love . . . with their burgers! Ouray has all kinds of places to eat, but this is the ultimate if a simply amazing burger and fries are in order. Thanks Maggie!

Serrano cheese burger with fries and the elk burger with coleslaw and an IPA

While visiting Ouray we got dinner here and it was yummy. Service was quick and it has open seating indoors or patio. We got the Serrano cheese burger with fries and the elk burger with coleslaw. We got an IPA from the neighboring pub and it was delicious.

This is a must-stop if you're staying or driving by. Located right off Main Street, grab the first parking space since lunch time is prime tourist time. This place looks small but there is seating outside and upstairs which has covered picnic table area. The burgers are truly unbelievable and cooked to your preference right on the spot. The wait time from when you order and when it comes out of the kitchen is 5-6 minutes so grab a seat and wait for your name to be screamed....they really do scream your name. The condiments are located near the front door so you can make it to your liking. I'll bring some sharpies the next time so I can leave my mark on the wall.

Hayden's 420, one with fries and one with Cole slaw.

Ask the Community - Maggies Kitchen

    Are dogs allowed?

They were definitely allowed (and present!) on the porch. They're not allowed inside.

Out of business? Been here a few times this week and it's always closed.

I was in Ouray the month of August. Maggie‘s was open the whole time. It‘s normally closed only on Tuesdays. Sorry to hear if it‘s closed now.

Is there outdoor seating for dogs?

Yes right in front of entrance on both sides

Quality was good -- the fries were a stand-out. I had a green chili burger that had good food flavors, but was nowhere near as spicy as the description had it. DRINK: A brew-pub is only as good as the brew. Both the saisson and the blonde we ordered were quite tasty, as were the seltzers. The selection isn't huge, but that's actually kind of nice; they covered all the beer bases without needing to offer a dozen different IPAs. SERVICE: Very friendly waitstaff, and fairly attentive. We were there at an early hour (they open earlier than other dinner restaurants), but food delivery was pretty quick. AMBIANCE: Brew-pub in an old building on Ouray's main drag -- ticked the boxes nicely. Place was clean, noise level was under control. We chose indoor seating, being concerned about heat up on the rooftop. NET-NET: A bit on the pricey side, but quite satisfying. If I were again in Ouray, I might try someplace else, but I would not need my arm twisted to return here.

My buddy had a cocktail which he didn't really care for, but that was just personal taste reasons. The service was slow, even though they were running around like crazy. They seemed understaffed, but I'm not really sure it seemed like they were just inefficient. The staff was stressed and not real friendly, but not rude either. I also ordered the zucchini fried strips for an appetizer they were OK. They brought out the smallest little dip of ranch dressing to go with them. I think I've ever seen. I believe for the pizza, the water and the drink and the appetizer it all came out to about $70 with tip. Which is about average in this town, but dang that seems high to me. Now the pizza was really good and for two of us, we couldn't finish at all so that's a good thing. We did take three pieces back to our cabin to finish up the next morning for breakfast. I love cold pizza for breakfast. It's weird. I know that I love it lol . Would I go back to this place? Yeah I think so. Other times I've been in town. I've noticed this place is always packed and people are always waiting outside so I probably would not stand in line for this restaurant.
