You are not going to believe what happened... so my fiancé and I were visiting Ouray for the first time to hike the Perimeter. So the day we get there we walk main street and these freaks outside of Maggie's Kitchen are trying to get people to come in and eat....screaming, rolling around on the ground, dancing and harassing people as they walk by. Okay so the next day were coming down from the hike and the freaks aren't outside so we decide to check it out. So I go in thinking my fiancé is behind me and I notice there is no inside eating like other restaurants it's just a greasy, dirty burger dump. So thinking I am talking to my finacee I said there is no sitting down it's take out and this creepy old man comes up so close behind me and says, "you need to put on a mask" so nasty so rude doesn't even say who he is, I thought it was a customer. I ask who are you and he says I am the owner and need to leave now girl even though I was walking out of this piece of crap joint. I kid you not this really happened I am not fabricating this story...had he said, " excuse me miss I am the manager and we require that people wear mask"....he came out of nowhere and cut in front of people so he creep behind and exerted his power This is what I don't like about small towns like this because they are they only burger joint or the only this or the only that and they are so overpriced in these towns and spoiled. 3 stars for the food but zero for this place due to the staff (possible owner?) displaying a level of unprofessional behavior toward customers and potential ones I have not seen anywhere else in my entire life. While waiting for food and eating I witnessed the staff repeatedly act rude to confused people coming in from the bright street into the dark room and wondering where to go. Most apologized for being in the wrong line while they were insulted by this staff. Using racist and offensive terms for Native Americans toward customers and treating elderly ones poorly. Telling an elderly women she needs glasses when she could not see the board. This is the first time I felt the need to actually make an account on yelp and review a place. I would avoid this place as they clearly do not want you. I regret giving this place my money which most rely on one time tourist. read more

Me and a friend ate here on the Fourth of July this year, very eventful I might add. The food was pretty good but the customer service was YIKES. I was approached by a worker that was cleaning tables and she comes up to me and gets right in my face and says "hi" I backed away because PERSONAL SPACE. I said "hi" back maybe thinking she new me. We then get our food and are waiting in line for condiments and the same worker comes over by me and reaches at my friends plate, and starts to take my friends fries off her plate. This girl was also talking to herself and getting yelled at by her manager while we were there. Weirdest experience overall read more

The burgers are pretty good but the place is pretty dirty inside and the people working there just seem angry. Maybe its because this is a less expensive option. There was an elderly couple in front of us and they were treated terribly by the guy cooking. This younger kid told the elderly lady to open the fridge for him (she is the customer) and she did. Then the couple asked if they could have lids for their drinks and the kid said "Do you want me to cook your food or give you lids!" Shortly after that the young guy threw the lids at the couple. Not for me. You order inside at a window and then wait for your names to be shouted out. We sat outside. Cleanliness is not on the menu here. I saw a guy with a rag for tables but didn't use it once. He did start to empty the big trash can (that is, yes folks, right where you eat) but he didn't finish so the top stayed open half on it. Yep, it invited flies. Again no table was cleaned while we were there. Had a hot dog. It was good. Had some greasy fries, they were good. This is my first review that I'll say we won't be back. read more

Terrible service and poorly trained staff. A 12 year old takes your order who doesn't know the menu. When your order is ready, and is incorrect, your concerns are addressed as " well, we have a housing problem and help is hard to find". Owner won't listen to you and asks you to leave. When you say that you won't be back, she says " I don't care, just leave. It's the 12 year old girls first day, give her a break". 12 year old isn't the problem, the owner is.
