The texture alone makes a big difference--it's crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. They've got a ton of topping options too--probably a dozen or more. Whether you're into sauerkraut, sautéed peppers and onions, chili, or keeping it classic, you can build it exactly how you like it. The sides are solid. The fries are good, and the onion rings are a little different--thinner and softer than most--but still tasty. Everything's made to order, so there's typically a bit of a wait, but you get a buzzer so you can mind your own business while waiting. The space is a plus too, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. On my latest visit, a large group of bicyclists rolled in--some in full hot dog costumes, others in hot dog-print gear. They were all super friendly and cleaned up after themselves and it added to the whole experience. Consistently great food, a peaceful or fun atmosphere, and attention to the little things that matter.
