I like this cozy family restaurant. They have a great menu selection. The food was great!

Meal was very good. Pancakes a little dry. I had to ask for extra syrup. Service was excellent. Hostess outstanding and the wait staff very punctual. My friend was impressed with his fast and friendly never empty coffee cup. I would recommend this to others. read more

If I could give more stars I would! We stopped here on our way back to Indy from Chicago, and we were delighted to be greeted with warm smiles. Food was average, sat in the front section on a Sunday morning around 10 am, very cramped close quarters....would recommend sitting in the back section. Place was not all that clean, booth sitting in was dirty and there was food on the wall. Women's bathroom needs a good cleaning and updating. Door to stall does not lock easily and there is a small rusted garbage can in there that was disgusting. read more

Went to this restaurant this past Saturday. Worst experience I have ever had before. Our waitress comes to our table without even greeting us, rushes us through our beverages. First time there, and she didn't give us a chance to look. Walked away after we told her two orders, didn't even wait for us to tell her what our daughter wanted. Came back with our food. Never came to check on us and ask how we are doing. Never asked us for refills. After she dropped off our food, next time she came to our table was to give us our check. My daughter was suppose to get an ice cream with her meal, didn't happen. My husband ate his meal with nothing to drink since she didn't come back. Didn't ask us if we wanted any boxes or any dessert. She sat at the counter the whole time watching something on her phone. We paid for or daughters meal which she didn't touch, would of liked to have taken it home. Even worse, I call to speak to a manager the next day and was told that he was TOO BUSY and to call back when they slow down!! I did not call back cause clearly they treat the customers terribly! We will never go back and have told everyone we know to never eat there at all. It was the worst service I have ever experienced!! I give this place 0 stars! read more

I ordered from this restaurant and when my order was delivered the order was completely incorrect. Things that I ordered we're not delivered as well as things that contain food that I am allergic to in my order. When calling the business to ask for either a refund or delivery of the correct food I was hung up on by at least three employees, then called back And spoke with an owner that said he could not do anything about it and if I wanted I could come pick up the correct order. At that point I explained to him that I did not have a car which was why I ordered delivery. I have ordered from this establishment plenty of times and have never had to deal with such unprofessionalism from staff and owners. It was a very simple solution to either issue me a refund and or deliver the correct items again while I was on the phone with the owner after he refused to help me in the middle of our conversation he then hung up the phone. I was then stuck with food that was completely incorrect as well as food that contain things that I was absolutely allergic to. To own a establishment and hang up on a customer without trying to resolve the problem and or refund my money Is absolutely unprofessional in every way. When I called back a fourth time a young lady answered the phone and was the only one that kept saying she was sorry on behalf of her owners and if she could personally refund me or Fix It she would but the owners were not allowing anything to be done with my situation. The restaurant it's self made the mistake on the order as well as the delivery for me to have to be charged and held accountable to pay this establishment for things that were incorrectly done as well as being hung up on several times is not OK in anyway. I would like the entire amount that was drafted from my debit card to be returned. I have already left a complaint with the BBB and have contacted my back for a dispute. I understand Mistakes happen but for staff as well as an owner to hang up on someone that was completely understanding of the mistake but just wanted a resolution to the problem is absolutely unprofessional. After ordering from this establishment for years and never having any problems after today I will never order from them again and I will continue to let people know what type of business they run when it comes to helping out their customers. read more

Living in Crown Point, You can't help but find your self in this terrible excuse for a restaurant once or twice. The food is a mixture of Gordon Food Service garbage formulated into something barely edible. The terrible food is only matched by the terrible service, usually by some teenage girl who peaked her Junior year of high school, and clearly just has more important things to be doing right now. The decor is a poorly lit eyesore, accentuated by cigarette stains. This place is disgusting. read more

"The owner's wife went way out of her way to be inappropriate and rude to us." As a family of 4, we go to this restaurant about once a month or so and have done so for about the last 8 years. We like to bring our business to local 'hometown establishments'. The food is good and the prices OK, but after the treatment we received after our LAST visit we will never return. Hours of operation during the week - open until 8:30pm. We arrived at 8:10pm to be informed "You need to order now because the kitchen's closing." I started to place an order and the lady starts snapping her fingers at the waitress to come take our order. While the waitress was at our table and the worker behind the bar said to the waitress (loud enough for us to hear) "I thought you were leaving." We ordered a BLT, ham sandwich and hamburger and fries, and 3 bowls of chicken soup and 3 soft drinks. I mean how tough is it to put this together? We were never offered any refills while sitting at the table (which are included with the order). After being ignored by the waitress during our meal, she brought us our check... get this... IN HER COAT. Even though there was another lady still dining in the restaurant, We felt the need to cut our stay short since it was obvious the workers were unhappy with us being there. I had to walk up to the bar to request a togo box for my left over food. So as we're leaving my daughter asks the lady for a refill to go. She follows my daughter to the register where I'm paying the check to tell the guy at the register to "upcharge for the extra drink". When I said that a free refill should be included with our purchase of a sprite she said to the man at the register "I'm tired of our customers doing this all the time". The she told the man at the register to take the charge off the bill and as he was doing just that she told him to put it back on and said "just take their money". "The customers think they can do this all the time." . I BELIEVE THAT SHE MAY HAVE BEEN THE OWNER'S WIFE - she was talking about us while were standing right there and as if we don't deserve any respect. I had feelings about being treated that way, but I feel especially bad for my young children who observed this behavior. So bottom line, after regularly going to this restaurant for years, we won't be returning to that restaurant or the adjoining restaurant that they also own -Zodiac's. There are so many places out there to eat- spend your money and time where you are TREATED WITH RESPECT AND YOUR BUSINESS IS APPRECIATED. read more

I really like everything I have ordered here! My biggest gripe is that the prices aren't consistant...i can order the same thing twice/three times in a week and its always a different price. But the food and service are great. read more
