This review is long overdue, but I have come to this salon now a handful of times. Every time has been great. It is clean & conveniently located. But this last service was exceptionally important. I work with my hands, and my nails are definitely not glamorous. In fact they needed a lot of work. Usually, I don't care too much, but I had my wedding coming up and I wanted to at least try to make my nails look elegant and polished. So I went to Yuki for help. She suggested some appropriate gel extensions, and an ombre French manicure, which was not only elegant and polished - but also beautiful. I was surprised by how feminine and special it made me feel! And I got so many compliments on them! Not only that, but she is now putting me on track for getting my nails healthy and feminine again permanently. Yuki is also sweet, easy to work with, listens and makes helpful suggestions. Unlike some of these other reviews, I unfortunately had a horrible experience. I've been following Erica's instagram page for a few years and loved her work so I decided to make the long drive up from Irvine to get my nails done. I was booked with Yuki and was excited to get gelX nails and a pedicure. From entering the place, the other nail tech working there never acknowledged me, even when I was trying to get her attention to ask her what the check-in process was. She never looked up even when she knew I was there and wasn't very welcoming. She was glued to her phone. When Yuki came out, she was very sweet but was rushing through my pedicure and was very aggressive with the scrubbing file/grater. The back of my ankle had scratch marks and was raw from her grating my feet so hard - it was painful and anything but relaxing. Then she proceeded to do my gelX nail manicure and was rushing so much she cut the top flesh of my pinky finger with a nail clipper. It was a deep cut and it was bleeding a lot and pounding like it had a heartbeat (pounded for several days afterwards). I excused myself and flushed it with water in the bathroom. I was afraid it would get infected and thought I might loose a chunk of the tip of the finger. I was monitoring it for the next several days. She was very sorry (and offered $10 off of my total. Total was $145 for both) but it the entire experience from start to finish was horrible. She also used tools from a box that was labeled "soiled". The work station and the place in general was not sanitary and needs a deep cleaning. I'm really sad because they produce beautiful gelX nails and designs but it's not worth it if it's not relaxing and I'm getting hurt with unsanitary tools in the process. read more

Had a great experience here. Salon is bright, clean and relaxing. My nails looked great and the nail techs were very friendly and sweet. They even gave me a La Croix to sip. Prices are decent- $50 for a gel mani and $30 for a regular pedi. Very unpredictable. I have done hard overlay twice at this place. The first time is very good. The manicurist did it carefully. Looked really pretty and lasted for six weeks until I wanted to change the color myself. However, the second time is not so good (in fact very bad). I unfortunately remembered the wrong name of the manicurist who helped me the first time and I chose the wrong person the second time. The manicurist seemed to rush. She did not clean the cuticles (I wanted to ask but I thought I should trust the manicurist and clearly I was wrong). She might think I knew little about manicure but actually I have done manicure frequently for several years. And my two nails broke two days after, which tbh was very ridiculous especially I got hard overlay. I am going to fix it tomorrow and hopefully get good results. One more thing, they did not notify for me that the color I chose needs extra $15 and there is no notice on the color board where I picked my color ( I took a picture of this color board because I wanted to ask my friend which color to choose). ---------------- Follow-up: they removed the full set and I got a refund. This is okay. But when they helped me remove the manicure, they said my nails are very thin. Then I realized when 3 days ago they removed my previous overlay, they did not use chemical remover, but simply file it brutally (which saved time but harmed my nails; when the manicurist did this, I wanted to ask, but I thought this might be some new techniques, clearly I was wrong again, she only wanted to rush). Today they told me I should let the manicurist use the chemical remover. I was like ????????? I paid you doing this and you need me to tell you what to do? read more

Hard to get a walk in booking-50% success rate. First experience was ok, had to wait a bit and there was some confusion as to which of the 2 of us what getting which services so I had to move seats a couple of times. We were offered water but they left it at a different table to where we were sitting and couldn't move so it never made its way to us. Nice service from the tech and great job with my toes. Second visit- booked ahead after comm walking in a few days before with no space , was confused about which service to pick as not very clear online. So I get there and casually mention my nails are acrylic. This is where the manager comes over and tells me I have to take ALL my nails off and get fresh ones-never heard this before; had gel over acrylic before without issue so unless I'm missing something important as a non-professional in this field, I felt like I was being scammed into paying for full nail removal and fresh set. When I was thinking I had to leave, they said they would do the fill with gel over acrylic as a once off and would 'do their best'. It turns out FINE. Perfect even. So I'm really confused. This may be reasonable price wise for LA, but I find $70USD for a fill PLUS tip insane. My nails do look great and have lasted longer than they usually would so maybe reasonable price since I've skipped a usual fill. I'd consider for my next trip to LA, but might still prioritise trying somewhere else first. Mimosas are very nice. read more

They don't have designated parking, and Green Street is a mess. I've literally arrived early for my appointment and had to wait 20 minutes to find parking, which made me late. The girl at the front desk then told me she was going to charge me a late fee. I feel that's highly unfair considering they don't have a parking lot, and the way she approached me about it was very condesending. On a separate occasion, I've brought friends to the nail shop, but it ended up being a one-and-done experience for them. They were rushed out before their nails were fully dry (with regular polish), and by the time they got to their car, every nail was messed up. Waste of money. My encounter with the girl at the front desk ruined my experience there and I've been going there for months. There's plenty of nail salons with designated parking that do amazing work, so taking my business there. read more
