They absolutely deserve a perfect 5 stars! Our little family had just arrived in Anaheim after a long drive from Sacramento and checked into Desert Suites & Inns. We were starving but too exhausted to go anywhere, so I looked up nearby restaurants that could satisfy our cravings, and that's how we found Mama Katsu. I called to place an order and asked if they offered delivery. The kind lady on the phone asked for our location, and since we were only a few minutes away, she said it was no problem, especially since the Disneyland fireworks were happening and the kitchen wasn't too busy. She told me her husband could deliver the food himself. About 7 minutes later, he called to say he was already in our hotel lobby. I was blown away by how fast and accommodating they were! When I got back to our room, my family devoured the food so quickly I didn't even get a chance to take a photo to include here! I passed by this place a few times and decided to give it a try. The lady in the front packing orders who i can only assume was the owner was super friendly. I ordered the chicken katsu and it was delicious. It took me 45 minutes to drive home but, when i got home and opened my box the chicken was still crispy. we came in around 1045p and ordered at the kiosk. our food was ready within 15 min. we ordered mild ramen, california roll, spam musubi and hot tea. the ramen was a little bit spicy for mild. the california roll was a bigger portion that i expected. the spam musubis came in as a pack of two. everything tasted great! it was definitely filling for two people. the owner was working the front and she was super sweet. it was nice talking to her for a bit before our food came out. she packed everything well, packed the hot and cold foods in different bags and also included utensils for two. 10/10 recommend, i would come back again the next time was are in anaheim! read more

I love this place! I came here for the first time with my family and some friends. We ordered just about everything! We had the shrimp crunch roll, ca roll, kimbap, chicken katsu, fish katsu, tteokbokki, and udon. Everything was delicious! The kids devoured the udon so I didn't even get to try it. The restaurant is small with kiosks to order at, but there is always someone at the front to help if you have any questions. I ordered the chicken katsu, pork katsu, and a mild rose tteokbokki. Stumbled upon this place and grabbed a quick lunch... so glad I did! It was delicious and I can't wait to go back! I had the classic kimbap -- YUMMY! And an order of the fried potstickers -- 10 for $10 and so good! This place is literally across the street from Disneyland and the prices are so reasonable. You'd expect small portions and inflated prices since it's in a tourist area... nope! I saw all of the katsu orders and the portions are generous! Could easily share 1 katsu order between 2 people. There aren't many choices for food around Disneyland when you don't have a car. Walking back and forth from Disneyland to our hotel we passed by this location. I read all the positive reviews posted. And they are right the chicken cutlet is fried to perfection . The added bonus of the gyoza and tempura shrimp with the sauce and two other little sides were nice. The meal was big enough to share. I really wanted to eat katsu and this was the closest restaurant near me. Right across from Disneyland, with outdoor seating, I ordered the pork Katsu bento. The breading was a little different from what I'm used to, but I mean it as a compliment, it was really great. The breading was crispy and fresh, the pork was juicy and moist. A perfect frying of the katsu. The sauce was excellent as well as the side of soy onions and coleslaw. The presentation in the bento box added the right finishing touch that made it a perfectly sized meal. The portion amount was generous. I liked the spiciness of the broth but it was runny and didn't coat the ingredients very well. Next time I will try the one with cheese. The food is very bland, with no real flavor/seasoning to it, almost like it was frozen food. The portion sizes are just ok with the price you pay for them. They definitely charge more for being close to Disneyland. The ambiance is whatever as they just have a few seats set up for people to eat quickly and I'm sure most of their business comes from people ordering from the nearby hotels. The owners are very nice. The food was amazing. I had the pork katsu plate. And it came with a generous serving of katsu and rice. Plus gyoza and a tempura shrimp. I've never had such crunchy katsu and so tender too. They also had dipping sauce for it. And it included this tasty vinegar/ soy sauce with onion and jalapeño ... sooo good. I dipped my gyoza and katsu in it. My cousin mixed his rice with it. I wasn't sure what it went with but I loved it either way.
