Bagel with cream cheese, veggies and capers - oh my!

With 2 locations in Cambridge and Brookline I am stoked. Yummy salads, sandwiches and more. Now that's a bagel!! :-)

Was already a huge fan of Mamaleh's food. Was so happy to see them hosting my favorite cookbook author, Beejhy Barhany on Saturday May 3rd for free recipe samples from her new cookbook Gursha! The samples were: * Shahi-spiced Praline Babka (YUM) * Ethiopian barbecue corn bread with zhoug butter * Fresh roasted Ethiopian Coffee Available for purchase: * cabbage and kale bourekas

latkes, Full Hot Corned Beef (1/2 lb), Whitefish Salad Sandwich, Cup Matzah Ball Soup (hot)
    Tavia G.

I make a point to come here everytime I come to Cambridge, it's become my tradition. The food is honestly out of this world and the prices are very affordable. They have the best whitefish I have ever had, the latkes are always crispy, and the matzo ball soup is very comforting. My partner had the corned beef this past visit and said it was just ok, but everything else is a 10/10. The space is gorgeous, bright, and spacious, and the staff are always so friendly. It's also very quick, making it the perfect spot for your lunch break!

    Chicken shnitzel (would recommend)
    Madeleine B.

Got a chicken shnitzel sandwich and some latkes delivered and it slapped. The chicken coating was ultra crispy and the zhoug mayo was the perfect flavor kick. The pickle that came with was not my jam though, very bitter. The latkes were solid with sour cream and apple sauce, I'm sure only better when still warm. Would order from Mamaleh's again.

Solid Jewish deli that delivers in all the classic dishes. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were able to quickly grab a table and quickly get our food. The pastrami egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was tasty. The fluffy bread and fluffy eggs just melt in your mouth and the salty pastrami and cheese were full of flavor. I do wish there was a tad bit more pastrami though. The babka muffin was okay. It was a little too burnt and dried for my liking but the flavors were good. The iced coffee was fine but if you don't want milk make sure you tell them when you order. There are a decent number of tables and counter seats. Decor is fun and has a nice modern look to it.

Really solid jewish deli. Phenomenal Corned Beef Rueben & Latkes. The smoked mushroom was a really great options for the vegetarians out there. Only thing that would've made it better is if the sandwich came with fries or chips. Pro tip: The frozen latkes to go are really good even baked days later!

    Blintzes
    Rovingaile P.

3.5/5! Rugelach had good flavor but had a dense texture. Blintzes reminded me of a thicker crepe with savory ricotta like cheese filling. Glad I tried (would recommend the raspberry jam with it), but wasn't too big of a fan!

    Rice Krispie treat
    Emma Z.

Authentic Jewish deli food in a spacious spot conveniently located in Cambridge. I came here for lunch with a friend. He got the Rachel, which was delicious and an ample size. I got a special brown butter Rice Krispie treat, which was also very tasty. Picked up some cute swag in their front shopping area to take home. My friend got a bunch of take home food, since he and his wife are big fans of Mamaleh's. I'd definitely come back on my next visit.

solid jewish delicatessen with seemingly pretty high quality ingredients. the corned beef was good but i feel like it couldve been improved if the bread was even just toasted or warm. the matzah ball soup was light and yummy with nice chicken and other fillings. the rugelach was delicious and other desserts looked really delectable as well. the pickled herring was really good and i would recommend for any fish lovers! the service is standard and friendly, you order at the front and your food is brought to you. the ambiance is light and bright, very casual and chill. i'd come back to try some other dishes and would overall recommend mamaleh's.

Talk about a good place for a lox bagel! everything here is so good, from the pastrami to the salmon everything is perfection! Their pickles are also out of this world, and the bagels to die for! The staff is very friendly and the interior looks so good, it does not look like most delis. They also have amazing merch. If ever in Cambridge, it is a must stop!

    Egg sandwich
    Niamh M.

Good menu with lots of options! I got the egg sandwhich on challah bread and it was lovely! It comes with a pickle too which was nice on the side! The place itself is nice and spacious with a good amount of seats!

The blueberry bagel I had that day was absolutely superb, probably the best blueberry bagel I've ever had in Boston. A few days later, I craved that same blueberry bagel and made the trip back, which is a considerable drive for me. Upon arrival, I was told that blueberry bagels are not offered every day and are only available on Thursdays. I returned the following Thursday, but the experience was very different. I got blueberry, poppy, and a few other bagels to take home. Unfortunately, all of them were absolutely disappointing. They tasted extremely off and very different from the blueberry bagel I had previously. At home, my family ate about half of what we purchased, but none of us had any desire to finish the rest. Overall, the experience was unpleasant, and the bagels were not enjoyable at all. The blueberry bagel from my first visit looked and tasted amazing and was completely different in quality from what I received on my second visit. On top of that, the person behind the counter seemed careless with hygiene, touching the screen, bagels, and other surfaces without any apparent attention to cleanliness. It felt like a completely different place compared to my first visit just a couple of weeks earlier. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed.

The space is pretty tight and it was really busy when I showed up but absolutely cleared out as I sat down to eat. I ordered a cold brew, which was a bit watery, but I like it super dark so it's probably just my taste preference. They put the milk/cream in for you and you pick the coffee up in a separate spot from the food. They call your name for both pickups. For food I got the devilled egg open face bagel that has bacon on top on a whole wheat everything bagel. Eating it was intense. I couldn't put it down once I picked up each side and had to be very careful not to spill the egg mixture off the top. It took a while to eat but was amazingly delicious and exactly what I wanted. I would eat it everyday if I could. If it came with micro greens on top, it would be even better. The mixture had red onions which gave it a punch and crunchy texture. I considered adding salt to the mixture on top but I'm glad I didn't because the bagel itself had sea salt so each bite was salty enough. When I ordered I asked if I could also get 2 bagels to bring home and I was told the limit is 1 on weekends and 2 during the week. The manager (I assume) stepped in and said I could have 2 so I chose the rosemary sea salt, which the only have on weekends. I made breakfast sandwiches on them the next day and it was heavenly. Do note- the cookie I got is made like into this hockey puck style cookie. It was buttery which I liked- but it's crumbly and falls apart- so did the thumb print type pastries.
