Decent neighborhood vibey spot. Great selection and a cute interior. I recommend the Americano as it is fast and a great quality. I also recommend going earlier to nab a seat if you're meeting a friend as it gets pretty busy even in a weekday when you think everyone is at work. Service is ok, don't expect lots of smiles here. But because it can get busy all workers are focused on getting product out as their menu is extensive.

I like this place and have been here twice in the last couple of weeks. It's fantastic for a mid afternoon coffee or a bite to eat. The place honestly has been packed anytime I've gone but people are willing to share tables - so you end up finding something or the other. Their tahini coffee is good - though didn't quite taste the honeycomb in it. The hot chocolate though is quite nice. This place is definitely on the expensive side if you compare it to the take and go coffees but for the ambiance and "sit and chat" vibe, it's quite good.

I've been coming to Maman for breakfast/lunch for a few months now & have typically had good experiences. The shop can be super crowded sometimes, especially on the weekend, but the staff does a pretty good job of managing it. Most recently I tried the Caitlin's Breakfast Wrap which I loved since it comes on a gluten free wrap. The candied bacon & side of chipotle aioli were the highlights of the dish for me! My only other flag is that the seating area is located in the front of the shop so there is a lot of breeze coming in & out while you're dining which is rough during the cooler seasons!

We popped in for a quick bite- banana walnut bread and a crème brûlée bun. The shop was super busy and the shop setup is terrible- the crowdedness surrounding people trying to sit and enjoy their snacks while people queue in with the cold blowing in is not ideal. The walnut bread was good and the bun was delish! Super sweet and flaky which was nice and what was expected. Would like to try drinks next time and come at a less busy hour.

The classic chocolate chip cookie was delicious. Thin with a solid chocolatey layer in the center. Warmed it up and it hit the spot! Sweet but not over the top. I enjoyed it. The spot was crowded on a Saturday afternoon but the line moved and my friend and I were able to score some seats at the window. A perfect little spot to people watch while enjoying a snack. It was clean, light, and inviting. Even with all the people everyone seemed excited about their orders... kids, babies, adults. Everyone looked happy and like they were enjoying their drinks and food. If I see a Maman in the area I'm going in.

This place was conveniently located near where we needed to be, so we came about 30 minutes prior to have a small breakfast here. I got the passion fruit pastry and the papaya matcha lemonade. The pastry was just ok, but I liked how unique the drink was! Really enjoyed the papaya cream with the matcha lemonade. Tart and refreshing!

maman is so cute only for the food to always be underwhelming for me, and it's just so disappointing because, again, the whole vibe of this cafe chain is so warm and inviting. I usually only get the pastries, all of which are usually just okay (except for that lime cilantro cookie they have sometimes... I will always stand by her). Today I got the papa's breakfast bowl as well as a hot tahini honeycomb latte. The breakfast bowl is potato forward. That's what you need to know here-- it's potatoes with some bits of kale and some bacon and a lot of aioli. It's literally a plate of starch and was so heavy in my mouth and stomach that it got hard to eat after the third bite. If something is being marketed as a breakfast bowl, I'd really expect it to be more properly ratio-d so that it feels like a healthy and hearty breakfast rather than a plate of home fries. I find maman's coffee to be bitter, and the honeycomb tahini flavor really did not cut through that bitterness. I liked the nuttiness from the tahini, but I couldn't finish the latte.

This place is a nightmare, which is sad bc I love the other ones I've been to! -ordered a hot mocha, $8(!?). Even for NYC this is crazy, and really not good. It came out lukewarm and I asked for it to be more hot. The guy just looked at me and said no and explained there's no way to do that. Finally I asked them to just remake it. -also I asked for it there to be extra chocolate and it was barely chocolate flavored, or espresso flavored, for that matter. Like a lukewarm milk. -the people here are awful. Clearly it was a busy day, and many people sharing communal tables. I asked two separate people to move their things everywhere so I could sit at the large table, and they both begrudgingly glared at me before one of them moved her things. Really awful, people! This is NYC!!! Rude. I kept my coats/gloves/scarves/earmuffs on the entire time, as it was freezing since it's just one open room with the door open most of the time. Today was 'feels like 7F', and a high wind advisory. I hate this place.

Had a terrible lavender honey latte and mocha here but the cookie was better than the one at Levain--soft and nutty with a good amount of chocolate to nut ratio.

It's a cute cafe! Great retreat for some AC on a hot day. They don't allow laptops though which is a bummer. I really liked my iced matcha latte, and how I can customize it with the type of milk and the type of sweetener and how much. I got a little simple syrup and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Me and my friend shared an olive oil cake that was moist, dense, light at the same time and not too sweet. The icing on top was a bit crunchy and sour which was a nice compliment to the inside of the cake.

This is such a cute cafe, and the staff were so nice! The coffee and pastries left a bit to be desired though. The lemon meringue in the cube croissant was so good but the cube croissant pastry was not as buttery and flaky as I would have liked. The latte has a very unique flavor to it, but I think the tahini really overpowered everything else.

    Disappointing sandwich

S l o w, listless service. Haphazard food "compilation", small portion of tuna. Not much more tuna than onion. Disappointing.

I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
