Pistachio Wrath Dark Chocolate Cappuccino & Overnight Oats (with Apple compote/nuts)
Mif M.

Second time visiting a Mamans (this one being the {petite} location. Super impressed with the seasonal drinks as someone who has cappuccinos from so many places. I love how the "seasonal" drinks use real ingredients for sweetness & not artificial stuff. Loved the overnight oats as well, which was a huge portion size (so two can share and still be very full)

I been wanting to try Maman and finally got to I try it last year at Penn Station. Now Maman is everywhere you can possibly want in the city. This location is mostly a takeout place. You order from the left and pick up on the right. It's very organized and the decor is very homey and cozy with a touch of flowers. The folks are efficient and you get your items in a short time. On this day, I decided to get a lavender hot chocolate, which has a strong lavender flavor, and pistachio chocolate crossiant is filled with pistachio and chocolate, though a little bit oily though it's delicious. Go give it a try.

Must stop when near grand central station area. Staff was super sweet. I got the seasonal French toast maple iced latte with oat milk and it was so yummy. I also got the breakfast bowl, a kouign amann (heated up) and of course a nutty cookie to go! Food was all bomb and there is limiting seating and tables (about 5-8 two tops) however i was able to snag one by the window and read and it was really peaceful.

Narrow cafe but ample space for standing and a few tables in the corner for sitting. And it still has the quaint and pretty vibe as their other larger cafes. It gets pretty busy in sporadic bursts throughout the afternoon. I usually get the oat mocha and appreciate their seasonal hot drinks as well. If I'm feeling up for an indulgent treat, I get their famous chocolate chip cookie. This place is my go-to for a great quality hot coffee drink with ample foam.

Almond Croissant (left) and Everything Croissant (right)

Did a Too Good to Go deal for this place. For $3.99, I received two baked goods. One was an almond croissant and the other was a everything croissant (think everything bagel but instead it's a croissant). The Everything croissant was like a marriage between an everything bagel and a garlic knot; I highly recommend this croissant. The place is very conveniently located in Grand Central terminal. I think doing a Too Good to Go deal is better as I feel most of the baked goods here are overpriced in general.

Maman seems to be popping up everywhere lately! So happy we have one close to Grand Central. Nice treat before or after work! The cookies are by far my favorite. Make sure to get there in the AM to get the chocolate chip! Their croissants are also delicious.

I've had Maman from west village and their food was better in my opinion compared to the Park Avenue location. It could've been one of their off days, but I ordered the breakfast sandwich and prefer it from the west village location. The sandwich from this location lacked the flavors that made this sandwich unique; the caramelized onion wasn't as sweet. The papa's bowl was also nothing to cry home about. I also wasn't a fan of the banana split ice latte; it's better suited for someone who prefers a sweet caffeinated beverage.

SUPER YUMMY!!! The place is aesthetically pleasing and super cute to take pictures in. Additionally, they serve amazing food options that takes 5-8 minutes. The coffee is also great. But the pastries are superior!! They're so yummy, especially the famous nutty cookie!

BUT, my husband and I recently took a trip to Paris and I also love pain aux raisins. To our delight, Cafe Bilboquet has those too, so my friend and I each had a small coffee and a pain aux raisins. The pastry was as good as any that my husband and I had in Paris! I've also had lunch here with a couple of other friends in recent months. They have a good variety of pretty authentic French sandwiches and some quiches, eggs, etc. Not inexpensive, but the food is top-notch. You order at the counter, then move up to the cashier, tell them what your order is and pay for it. If you're lucky, as we were around 9:45 this morning, you'll get one of the little round tables where you can sit and chat and relax; in good weather there are some tables outside as well; a lovely boulangerie or patisserie experience!

Upon getting closer to the door, I learned it's part of Le Bilboquet restaurant on the same block. It wasn't too crowded when I visited on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. Every table except 1 was full, but most people were heading outside on such a beautiful day with their drinks and pastries. The cafe is very cute and French. They have so many pastries I couldn't decide, so I ordered a pain au chocolat and tea. They serve Harney & Sons teas. This is a lovely spot, and I'll return to try more.

We started with a bottle of the Alsace wine, which perfectly complemented our food and the Parisian vibe. I opted for the omelette with Gruyère which was delicious, although I found myself very full by the end, as it came with two sides. The fries were a must-have -- so crispy, salty & fresh. I'd recommend that at least one person at the table order them, but the portion is pretty generous. :) The service was nice, albeit a bit slow at times. However, the staff was friendly and the overall atmosphere is chill -- we weren't in a rush at all! Sitting at a booth in the back, we had the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy our meal, making for a lovely brunch with friends or family.

I always get almond croissants from coffee shops but wow this one has to be one of my favorites. The crunchy (sugar?) top coating and the filling were delectable. I got one of the seasonal spring drinks, called "Karl" which is a banana cold brew with cold foam. I don't even like cold brews since they tend to be super strong and pretty bitter, and banana can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed the hell out of this drink. It was a bit sweet, which I like, and the cold brew itself had a banana flavor when I had just expected it to come from the cold foam. I didn't sit or stay inside as I had to go to work, but there are a few (maybe 5 I think?) chairs along a bar counter on the side. Plants in the window too which I love. The barista was nice and made the drinks quickly despite being there by herself early in the morning (or at least I didn't see another employee). I recommended this place to my coworkers and can't wait to go back and try the other drink options!

Theres a shared bar table along one wall with high top chairs and menu options at the counter + a chalkboard with seasonal drinks. I left with a Balthazar Bakery box with 4 items. The 2 Everything pastries were filled with what looked like spinach and cheese. Incredible when reheated, but I wish they were served warm. The cinnamon roll was good, but not standout. The pain au chocolat was tender and flaky. Some of the seasonal drinks, like the Grinch, looked really good and I'd come back to try one, but I likely wouldn't swing for a pastry this time.
