These pancakes are more fluffier and eggier (I think that's a legit word, LOL), and super rich! If you don't like eggs, don't visit because there is a lot of eggy flavor. I've tried the two dominant flavors, Matcha and Strawberry, and I can't tell which one I like better. The light cream topping is better than any butter or maple syrup I've ever had. There is usually one more flavor that they change from time to time as well which I've heard is great. Going on the weekday avoids the wait. The abnormal hours of operation don't make it easy to visit but if you do you'll definitely enjoy. Book the table on Yelp!

These Kiseki pancakes are not pancakes in the American sense. They are soufflé style creations, tall and trembling, as if gravity is only a suggestion. They arrive airy and delicate, with a gentle jiggle that suggests optimism. We ordered accordingly. I had the lemon ricotta, which tasted like sunlight had been filtered through dairy. My oldest chose matcha, green, purple and quietly sophisticated and complex. My youngest went with the original maple, a classic executed so well it made the classics feel new again. All were excellent, the sort of food that makes conversation pause because mouths are busy being grateful. My father in law ordered what I personally considered a cautious breakfast. Regular pancakes with eggs and bacon. A meal that could have been assembled in any roadside diner between here and forever. Yet even this was handled with care. The eggs were perfect, the bacon honest, the pancakes dignified. No irony, no shortcuts. Yes, the prices are a little steep. But this is not a place for routine nourishment. This is a place for occasions, for birthdays, for reminding yourself that breakfast can aspire to something like art. Five stars, because sometimes the world surprises you by getting something exactly right.

Tasty coffee with free refills accompanied by wonderful friendly service. Spotlessly clean men's room. This was a five star experience for both of us-- and you all know how hard it is to please Mr. X! Highly recommended, right near Princeton University and the square.

Maman in Princeton is an aesthetically charming spot with some truly delicious highlights--but also a few things to keep in mind. First off, the drinks and pastries are excellent. Their coffee is smooth and well-crafted, and the pastries are fresh, flaky, and flavorful--definitely the standout here. Whether it's a croissant or one of their signature cookies, the baked goods rarely disappoint. Where things fall a bit short is the food menu. The portions are surprisingly small for the price, and it doesn't always feel worth the splurge. You're paying more for presentation and ambiance than a satisfying meal. Also, I found the staff to be a little distant and not particularly warm, which took away from the overall vibe. One huge plus, though, is that this Princeton location is on the Too Good To Go app, which is a fantastic way to try their pastries at a steep discount. If you're lucky enough to catch one of their surprise bags before they're gone, it's 100% worth it--you get a great variety of leftover pastries for a fraction of the cost, and everything still tastes great. Overall, it's a beautiful café with amazing drinks and baked goods, but be prepared for smaller portions, higher prices, and a bit of a cool atmosphere. I recently visited this cafe and found it to be a mixed experience. The coffee was quite ordinary, and the pastries I tried were disappointing. Additionally, the prices were very high, which didn't feel justified by the quality of the offerings. On the positive side, I appreciated the interior design. I had to acknowledge feeling passing strange being in a cafe for the first time in a long while, but I managed to check their menu and order a small Americano to go before taking a seat at the end table closest to the door. Why not sit and relax for a few before returning to my wheels? It wasn't crowded around noon, and the folks seemed like they were settled in for a while. Some working; most chatting. I sipped the strong steaming hot joe. Yep! Definitely strong enough to remove the wearies and retune me up for my afternoon agenda. Still, couldn't help feeling a little out of place. Just spending money for commercial coffee, once so commonplace; but now so strangely wasteful put me in touch with how transitory some habits are. Three average caffeinated stars for the ho-hum of this or any such consumption outpost. I think I have lost my Lyberry card.
