That's why I finally had to get up and tap him on the shoulder to ask for things like bread, butter and water refills. I had to do this twice to get services once. And even at the end, I had to get up to ask for our check and to pay for it too, we barely received any service at all. And especially, I don't think we received service warranting a 20% tip but that amount was forced on us, which is all good however, I wanted to raise these concerns-just because a good tip is guaranteed, doesn't mean we can be totally ignored! . The host showed up once to ask how we were doing but he appeared after I had already gotten up twice to talk to our waiter. This is unfortunate as I was ready to recommend this place to others. Although the food was good, we had to work to get any service. I don't blame the waiter - he worked really hard, management is at fault for not having proper staffing or training to indeed provide service worth a 20% tip.
