By the way, they have a happy hour menu running until 7 p.m. with some good prices on cocktails and appetizers. First taste of the red curry was alright 7/10 because the coconut milk was a bit overpowering and too liquidy. Original rating would be 4/5 but a couple bites into the red curry, there was an about 2.5-3 inch piece of hair in it. I told the server about the hair and requested a refund since only a couple bites were taken from the curry but was denied a refund since according to her none of the kitchen staff had "long hair". I think my husband and I are in a love affair with Thai Green Curry and Pad Kee Mow. We have no Thai food out where we live and we have been trekking across the Trinity River Bridge to Dallas or making the haul to Grand Prairie and Arlington for years to eat any. When we do sit down to order, it's the same things. Tom Kha Gai and the above favorites. Sometimes we stray; but not often. We kept to our usuals today at Mango Thai and they were delicious and spicy and totally satisfying. Mango Thai is in a strip mall; but inside is a well thought out restaurant with an eye catching paint scheme. We sat in a comfortable banquette to enjoy our steaming aromatic soup and entrees. The large serving of Tom Kha Gai would have served 4 people and nearly filled me up before my entree could arrive. Tender pieces of chicken in that spicy coconut milk lemongrass broth. Heaven. My Pad Kee Mow Chicken with big flat rice noodles, egg, garlic, chilies, bell pepper, tomatoes, and basil leaves had perfectly coated velvety noodles and the number 3 spicy heat was right on target for me. My husband's Green Curry Pork with eggplant and bamboo shoots was beautiful and his Thai Hot request was heating up the room. He seemed pleased, though. Pad Thai was WAY too sweet, haven't had pad Thai that sweet before. Sticky rice mango- My close friends and I travel quite often so we've had opportunities to try sticky rice mango in Paris, UK, South Africa and a few states with the US, non of them were this HARD!!! We love sticky rice mango and the rice was so thick, chewy and hard that I had to put much force into cutting through. It's a possibility that it's was just one of those days for this particular time, which every restaurant has from time to time. Sticky rice should be sticky but soft at the same time. Easy to chew and easy to cut. Though my friends and I barely ate the sticky rice and about 10% of the pad Thai, we still enjoyed the atmosphere, I paid for our meals and we tried another Asian restaurant that evening. This is one if the best Thai restaurants I have been to. From outside, it appears like a small, simple place in a strip mall. We were a large group of people and had made a reservation. The table was ready when we showed up. We had several custom orders and the service was exceptionally friendly and efficient. All the food we tried was really tasty with perfectly balanced taste and spice level on all the curries we ordered. This place is probably one of my favorite thai restaurants in the area. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and the red thai curry (both with tofu and spicy level 3). I frequently come here and their curry is amazing. The flavors are deep and rich and will leave you wanting more even after you're finished. The spice level wasn't overwhelming for me and the curry flavors were good as it wasn't too salty either (tasted really good with rice). The portion size is still pretty decent sized for take-out and the staff are friendly. The pineapple fried rice isn't too salty and the rice isn't as dry as most other places' fried rice (which I like). I also really like how they add baby corn into their fried rice. In addition, both dishes were top notch and really good. I love coming to this place whenever I'm craving Thai food, more specifically Thai curry. read more

As a Thai food hater. This place is decent. The interior design is modern and clean. The workers here are fast and efficient. They also have a full bar and wines. Always get their Thai tea! It comes in a tall glass, not only does it taste good it also looks good. Plus you are at a Thai restaurant, of course you have to try their famous Thai tea! The menu is pretty much the same as everywhere. They don't have any special dish or signature dish that I absolutely recommend to others. That's the down side. But as a Thai food hater I don't know how to judge. Hey they do delivery!! Take advantage of that! I don't know how fast the delivery service is but try it! Can't go wrong! I love this place and come eat here whenever I'm in Plano!! My best friend lives here and her family eats here at least once every month if not more. The food is delicious and authentic- very flavorful and fresh! High quality Thai food that genuinely reminds me of my time in Thailand (but even better for me- because they let you adjust your spice level and I prefer mild.) The Thai tea is also very good- strongly brewed tea with condensed milk always hits the spot. I had the classic Pad Thai but their menu has many options.
