I dined here at the end of July on a recent visit to the area. I had breakfast here twice, in the dining room, and dinner once (at the bar). Staff were warm and welcoming in both locations. Food's delicious! Generous servings and premium prices. Classic old school steakhouse ambiance. Love it!

The steak is the reason you come. Manny's has the kind of vibe that's getting harder to find with no gimmicks, white tablecloths, classic steakhouse energy. It's comfortable without being fussy, and the room feels like it's been doing this a long time. Because it has. The dry-aged ribeye (80+ days) was outstanding. Deep, complex, perfectly cooked. This is what aged beef is supposed to taste like. The shrimp cocktail starter was equally solid: big, clean, classic. Where it slipped for me was the sides. Both arrived barely above room temperature. The baked potato had none of the crispy skin or fluffy interior you expect. It tasted like it was steamed at 10am and sat in a tray until dinner service. The pie was fine but also lukewarm, with no crispness to speak of. Service was friendly but attention was clearly going to the larger parties in the room. Bottom line:I'm going back. The steak alone earns it. Next time I'm skipping the sides and doubling down on the appetizers.

Such a great restaurant. Great servers, excellent food, and great atmosphere. Portions are large, so plan to split.

A friend who frequents Minneapolis occasionally insisted I go there and treated me to dinner. I called and asked about parking before I went there. He Valet with dinner is $20- about same price as an uber. I sat at the bar since I was dining alone and in no hurry. The two male bartenders were super nice and had been working there forever. Locals/others at the bar kept to themselves. I had a perfect dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and Mac and cheese. Best steak meal ever. I thought of that steak numerous times over the days I was there. Possibly one of the best steaks of my life. Mac and cheese was death row meal worthy with a layer of melted cheese on top. For dessert I wanted the banana split but they said it was way too big. So I got ice cream with caramel sauce and it was perfect. Seriously highly recommend!!!

It has been many years since we have been to Manny's Steakhouse and I'm very glad that we returned for our wedding anniversary dinner a couple of days ago because it was perfect for it. The food was delicious and the service was great. We got two side dishes to share and the french fried onions were even better than expected. I was a little disappointed that they were out of the prime rib (since that is usually my preferred cut of meat to go with) but the bone-in ribeye was a great choice for me - super flavorful. We were treated to a dessert for our anniversary and the Manny's Brownie was quite a treat! We had enough to take some home to share with our kiddos.

He Said: Ah, Manny's. There is a reason why this steakhouse still is around. Even after many years from when I was last at Manny's, the experience is still top notch. The food was very good, and the portions are huge. You have to pay a pretty penny for the food, but I think the price is justified. The ambiance of the place is nice, and the restaurant is connected to the W's main level bar. The shining star of the restaurant is the service. Our server was great (along with the rest of the staff). Pros: - Quality food - Top notch service Cons: - No free parking (that I am aware of)

April is a very busy month for my birthday celebration and I usually dine out all month long this weekend we decided to do MANNY's and be very bougie . Everything was fantastic party of five. We shared the tomahawk steak with the seafood tower, along with all the side dishes Tammy was our server and she phenomenal

Food was eh for me, but my bf raves about how good it is but nothing was good for me. The truffle fries were about decent. The service tho was good and the ambiance was clean and I do love that they have photos of all the a listers there that go eat

This is the banana split sundae that Manny's serves, but we did not indulge... Just took a picture instead

As everyone knows, it is not normal that I give a five star rating. That being said... Manny's was one of the most exciting, personable, friendly, and just all around fantastic place that my daughter and I visited for our lunch in Minneapolis Minnesota. They are known for their beef, but the service and everything else that my daughter and I experienced while we enjoyed lunch there was just off the charts! It all started with Greg, the manager of the restaurant, and the fact that I had left my credit card at the adjacent bar the night before during a pre-wedding mixer. Greg was amazing, friendly, and immediately was able to bring my credit card up front and we told him we would be back for lunch. The restaurant, located at the Foshay Tower, was only a three block walk from the hotel that we stayed at... The Normandy Inn & Suites. We sat at the bar and talked to Dave our bartender the entire time we were there. We obviously were there for the beef so we ordered the French dip roast beef sandwich. The service was exemplary, the food was just amazing, but it was the people and the atmosphere of the bar that will bring Emma and I back to Manny's every time we visit the Minneapolis area. It is a really good thing that I have family that live in Minnesota. Greg swung by where Emma and I were seating just to make sure that everything was OK. He also stayed and chatted with us for a few minutes before he went back to help other customers. There is a much longer story here, but it would take a good glass of beer at a local bar to tell you the entire story. Let me know when you're in town! Take care of you, and make a lot of memories on your next trip. Safe journeys

Great bartenders and a great bar. They even have boodles gin which is rare. I had the oysters, steak frites and a salad and it was cooked perfectly. A touch on the pricey side but you get what you pay for.

SO SO GOOD Manny's Steakhouse in Minneapolis is the rare place that makes you wish rating systems went to six stars. A golden buzzer, if you will. I visited twice in the evening and once for breakfast, and not a single note was missed. Everything was FLAWLESS. The martinis were cold, confident, and dangerously dirty. The calamari was crisp and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere was loud in just he right way: buzzing, celebratory, alive. Breakfast somehow matched the energy. The Bloody Mary was bold and balanced, not a novelty glass of chaos. The eggs Benedict were genuinely mind-blowing and rich, perfectly cooked, and clearly made by people who care deeply about doing classics correctly. Manny's Steakhouse doesn't just live up to its reputation; it earns it repeatedly. This is a restaurant operating at full confidence, and the experience shows it.

Absolutely phenomenal! One of those places you'd consider going to for your last meal on earth if you got to choose. Everything from the excellent food to the top tier service and elegant but welcoming ambiance was wonderful! We skipped appetizers because we knew we wanted to save room for the giant portions that were the main courses. I dined here with my family of 4 and almost wished there was more of us so we could try more food without filling the fridge with leftovers. I got the bone-in ribeye with garlic butter which I normally get cooked medium and the server recommended getting medium+ because they cook things less than the typical temperature. Even still I felt like my steak was cooked medium rare. That would be my one complaint from the night is that there is a universal scale at which steaks are cooked, why do it differently? The steak was still delicious though. For sides we got the broccoli with hollandaise and the homemade chips. The homemade chips stole the show, they were perfectly cooked and came with a delicious aoili. My mom got the burger with fries and the consensus was the chips took the prize! For dessert we shared the banana cream pie per our server's recommendation and the key like pie. Both were very good. I wish I remembered our server's name because he was spectacular and helped make our first time dining at Manny's one we'll never forget!

Ask the Community - Manny's Steakhouse

Going to Manny's in June. I see the dress is casual. If I wear a short sleeve collar shirt, nice golf shorts and dressier sneakers, is this ok?

I wouldn't myself as I have only ever seen people dressed beautifully there. It is a posh restaurant!

In town with my daughter and we only have casual attire. It that a problem? Also, can we make a reservation for this evening?

Casual is fine (I would probably avoid too casual like shorts and flip flops). Reservations are recommended. In a pinch, you can see about sitting in the bar area to be served. It is worth it if you are a carnivore on an expense account!

    Is Manny's kid friendly?

I believe it is, how old and well mannered is your kid?? It's somewhat upscale so if I was there and had to deal with a brat !!!!

The restaurant is located on the first floor of a historic building that was once a luxury hotel and is now a co-op. One thing we didn't know beforehand is that P.S. Steak has two distinct dining spaces. We were seated in the lounge, which is bright, stylish, and elegant, while the steakhouse dining room has a darker, more intimate, classic steakhouse atmosphere. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was professional and knowledgeable, making the experience feel polished and welcoming. For drinks, we ordered the Southern Hemisphere (a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail with the perfect balance of tart and sweet) and the 1929 Sour. From the Restaurant Week menu, we started with the dry-aged meatballs, which were surprisingly light and flavorful. For the entrée, we had the smoked salmon risotto. Unfortunately, it wasn't our favorite--it felt a bit bland and lacked the depth of flavor we were expecting. We also ordered a few items from the regular menu, and these ended up being the highlights of the meal. The lobster roll was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The asparagus was another standout, cooked to the perfect balance of tender and crisp with a beautiful char that added great flavor. To finish, we shared the hot fudge sundae, which was rich, indulgent, and the perfect ending to dinner. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience, especially the impeccable service, elegant ambiance, and standout dishes from the regular menu. We'd definitely come back for the luxe atmosphere--and next time, we'll be ordering one of their steaks!

The food tasted as good as it looks! The gougeres were light, fresh, and soft. The potato pave was decadent and creamy--elevated comfort food. Sadly, they lost out on a $250 platting * but Bar La Grassa (if same ownership) had an opening at the bar just across the hall and they had a strong beat for music but just fine to dine, also reflected and evident in a fully packed place versus mostly empty St. Pierre during the early side of dinner hour. From the hostess who graciously held the doors open for us in the 95° heat to our incredible server, David, everything was outstanding. We started with cocktails. I had what may have been the best bourbon Old Fashioned I've ever tasted, and my wife enjoyed a wonderfully refreshing cocktail (whose name I, unfortunately, can't remember). We began our meal with the roasted Brussels sprouts. Normally, I'm not much of a Brussels sprouts fan, but I happily cleaned the plate. My wife and I shared the 12-ounce filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and it was absolute perfection. Chef's kiss. David recommended a bottle of wine to pair with our steak. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was worth every penny. But wait... there's more. As incredible as that wine was with the filet, it somehow paired even better (yes, I know that sounds impossible) with the slice of heaven they call chocolate cake. I'm sure it has a much fancier name on the menu, but "slice of heaven" seems more accurate. If you've read my other reviews, you know I have a tendency toward hyperbole. If there were ever a time to lean into it, this is it. THIS MEAL WAS FANTASTIC. THE AMBIANCE WAS PERFECT. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL. AND THE COMPANY WAS DIVINE. I had the N/A drink Cherry Shrub which had lavender hibiscus and I was so impressed I had to get another one. The portions were really large and generous so there was enough to take home. Our waiter was friendly and the service was good. Next time, it's about those Yucca fries.

A great cocktail bar with my favorite burger in the Twin Cities!…read more So many great options on their menu. The Brussel Sprouts and the JFC (Japanese Fried Chicken) are two of my favorites but the Risotto is amazing! I love risotto and when you mix in parsnip I'm sold. But...the star of this menu is the Sonder Burger. With all of the discussion about the best burger in the Twin Cities this burger should be considered. Two smashed patties with white American cheese, a couple of pickles, and a little it of Sonder Sauce (think of Thousand Island dressing). The patties have crispy, caramelized edges, the bun is soft, yet substantial enough to hold. You can get fries but I got greens for a side. Get this burger! The space has a great style but I love sitting at the bar in this restaurant. They have a great drink menu, they really know how to make a great cocktail, and the bartenders are always so friendly. Next time you are in the neighborhood stop and check this place out!
