We adore Maple Bacon Restaurant! Jorge has been our server each time (as we tend to arrive early on weekends) and has always done a fantastic job. The food is phenomenal, and the servings are insane! I can make three meals out of one dish! The special dishes are way over the top, and every ingredient is perfect. I didn't even know I liked biscuits, but their biscuits are by far the best I've ever had, and their gravy is flavorful and complements the biscuits. I'm also a fan of the music, as the 70s & 80s style songs are refreshing and bring back warm feelings. If you haven't tried it, I really hope you do, and I'm certain you will be as delighted as we have been each time. Edit: I just wanted to add that the gravy retained it's consistency and flavor during reheating a couple of days later, which seems like magic given my experience with reheating gravy. Oh my! I happened upon this place and boy am I glad I did. I got the build your own omlette with bacon onion tomato and cheddar cheese for my side I got Windsor Poutine Fries. It was so good the food that everyone order was amazing! I got the pumpkin pancakes and it came with a piece of pumpkin pie on top it was the best. Another person ordered the Chilaquiles so good . Blueberry pancakes great. All four of the children enjoy their meals no complaint ! The service was great we were on a time schedule and only had a hour for 10 people so they were very accommodating and set us up with two tables one for kids and one for adults it was perfect. Middle of the road in food, service and value. A solid 2.5. The wait for a table at 1:30p on a Sunday was quoted at 25min and they were about spot on. Seated at 2:00p in a bright, open, and loud dinning hall. Nothing special about the booths or tables. Not cramped so easy to maneuver. Service was fine. Nothing special. The bare minimum. Drinks showed up 15min after seated and food 30min after. All acceptable. The Ruben rye was dry but good pastrami. The fries were dirty like like them but not hot. Just like warm. We also had the Canadian breakfast which was huge and came with French toast that was fluffy. The price was on late with the quality and amount of food. I was surprised to see the automatic tip on the POS was set to 25%. This was not a 25% experience. With other breakfast choices in the area, even the same parking lot, you have options. Stopped by Maple Bacon on a lazy Wednesday afternoon, drawn in by the promise of a hearty brunch. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere--dimly lit with the smell of bacon in the air. One standout feature is the thoughtful seating arrangements; they offer booth seating with adjustable benches for accessibility, bar seating and spacious aisles to accommodate families, larger parties, and wheelchairs. Service was a mixed bag. Lively lady at the front sat us quickly. Our food runner--possibly the chef--delivered our dishes with care, and the young man was incredibly polite and attentive. Ruby, our server, was fine. Now, onto the food and drinks: not bad but not memorable. We ordered pancakes, a French toast entrée with sausage and eggs, huevos rancheros with a side of crispy potatoes, and the crispiest bacon ever. Everything was cooked well, great presentation and solid effort. Husband enjoyed the French toast, pancakes were perfectly sweet even without butter. Huevos from a Canadian-based restaurant may not have been the best option as it was a bit underwhelming and lacking flavor. Must try bar drinks next time. With so many options on the menu, there's something for everyone, and I'm already looking forward to returning to try different/more popular dishes. Food and service were great! My only complaint was the bathroom. I went to the women's restroom and the toilet was so close to the door I couldn't enter it without closing the door !! Whoever designed this stall should have their license revoked!!! It is a hazard!! I couldn't even sit on the seat and close the door because my knees would be touching the door!! I had yo squat and the straps from my jumpsuit fell into the nasty toilet !!!!! I had to take off my outfit and hand wash the straps! I'm 5'7 and 170 lbs!! Imagine if I was obese!! It is easy to find as it is right on the corner! Plenty of parking! Take out or dine in. Plenty of seating if you need to wait! I went here for brunch with a friend. It was a disappointing experience. The food looked great, but the potatoes and meat on my dish were over cooked. The biscuit was also overcooked and crunchy. The eggs were perfectly cooked and tasted good. The potato cakes were too think and not crispy at all. The pastry had whipped cream and was put on our table along with our food. By the time we tried it, the whipped cream was runny and it tasted unremarkable but incredibly sweet. Our service was mediocre. I ran out of soda and it took quite a while for a refill. Stopped by for breakfast this morning after a Dr's appointment nearby. First time to stop in. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and seated. Kenneth, our server, went over the menu and explained everything. We started with coffee and a latte. They were delicious. Met some friends here after reading the Yelp reviews and this is one time that the Yelp community didn't let me down. For a Saturday afternoon there was a short wait and we got seated and started looking at options. We placed our drink orders and as we started to see other peoples plates coming out the one thing I can say is the servings are huge! I asked about a kids menu which they brought and I'm thankful because she didn't eat everything. 2 eggs, a meat choice, pancake of choice, potatoes, fruit and a drink for what the menu said was $8.99 came up as $9.99 (still not bad) but I had to ask that the cost of the previous ordered drink be removed as a drink came with the meal. Lots of boozy brunch drinks available and overall the food was good. I will say that the pancakes were a little dense for my liking and we had to find some of our food - meaning I had to ask the waitress doesn't potatoes come with the kids meal? I've been to Maple Bacon a handful of times, and it's pretty decent for breakfast/brunch. I would highly recommend their banana foster pancakes! They have a lot of unique dishes here with large portion sizes. The service is always good and if there is a wait, it goes by fast. The interior isn't decorated as well as other brunch places in the area, but if that doesn't matter to you, I think it's a great option! I had the lox & veggie omelette , but I had them cook the salmon medium well because the server told me it is served raw. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because our waitress Gabrielle, was great and had to deal with not only me but the couple behind us whom I kept hearing- "it's not your fault". I hadn't been to Maple Bacon in a few years and we were in the area craving breakfast and that "thick" Canadian bacon. My hubby ordered the pastrami something and was happy with that. I ordered a well done California omelette- extra crispy hash browns and Canadian bacon. My omelette was runny and my extra crispy hash browns were brown on one side and totally white throughout. I sent both back because that's not what I asked for. 2nd round was not much better. Omelette was still a bit runny and tasteless with grease lining the plate. The second round of hash browns looked a bit more cooked but again very chewy white on the inside. Guessing they were frozen hash browns and there's not much you can do to crispy them up. We came in for Canadian bacon. That wasn't the thick yummy bacon I remember. Generally tasted like something I would fry up from Walmart. As you can see a 15 plus dollar breakfast was wasted. I love that my waitress asked if I wanted it "crispy" because many places do not proactively offer it and sometimes I forget to ask. Great crispy bacon!!!! We called ahead to verify the closing time--which was 2pm. However, it was 12 or 12:30 when we noticed the back door being locked. When asked about this, staff said they planned on closing early...1pm. The server had been paid, and tipped, and had promptly ignored us. When we proactively asked for more coffee, the server seemed annoyed. Eventually, one person in our party was provided coffee and the server quickly left. Perhaps we were meant to share? Even though there were other parties in the restaurant, staff bustled about, cleaning and breaking down table areas. I was pretty uncomfortable. I had decided this was not a place I would return to.
