Lord where do I even START!! This place is amazing beyond belief I'm not kidding!…read more We made a reservation for a company luncheon with 16 of us. Made it 1 week in advance and they were set and ready for us! The employees are so sweet and helpful and the food came out before the other half of the table even finished ordering I'm not kidding! The fried chicken combo (3 piece) was phenomenal! I got Mac n cheese with yams and cornbread and then added on a chili for extra $ Everything was piping hot so it was very fresh. The chicken was juicy as all hell and that flavor oh my gosh! Best fried chicken I've ever had. The yams were so sweet and flavorful all the way through, and the Mac n cheese had a nice crust with the perfect creamy texture to it! The cornbread was as good as any and the chili beans had the perfect kick! I do prefer a more soupy meat based chili myself but no complaints here! A lot of my coworkers had the fried fish and were RAVING about it! The type of fish they use really shows in the taste and quality! The spicy fried fish was good as well and the sea food gumbo was also delicious all according to the table! Prices are to be expected, it's not your cheapest option but babe it's the yummiest so get on over there! The inside is cute and cozy and they accommodated our party size nicely. They had some good music playing in the kitchen too which we appreciated! Nonetheless DONT MISS THIS PLACE! Please come support and give them your business! Not too many soul food places in Fresno so make this your go to fr!

I'm not too close to Fresno but would recommend this to anyone who is in the area. I would make it a point to come back again if I were in the area for sure! My husband got the chicken and waffles while I ordered one of their specials of the day - rib tips. I got mashed potatoes and macaroni on the side (they were delicious but definitely regretted not trying other sides). The rib tips were perfect, smokey and tender. The fried chicken was sooo crispy and juicy. I do prefer crispier waffles, but it still went well with the very crispy chicken. The portions are plentiful, I had enough for a second meal.

Our favorite: fried green tomatoes and okra for appetizers. The sauce was awesome. 5 stars! The sides: collard greens were very salty for my taste but full of flavor. Rice pilaf was flavorful but was also salty. Sweet potatoes were perfect. Corn bread was just ok. 4 start. We met Chef Paul himself. He was nice and very funny! The restaurant is small so there will be a wait. We got there around 2pm so we didn't have to wait too long. Maybe just 20 mins. We'll be back for sure if we're back on that side again.

As usual there was a line, it took about 15-20mins for us to get to the front and orders taken. I haven't been here in years and I really missed it! Before reaching the registers our order was taken by a kind lady while we were in line. My order: salmon with tzatziki sauce, teppanyaki fried rice and rigatoni with sausage. I also ordered my kids from the lil sprouts: spaghetti with butter & parm. We requested for patio seat since we had our munchkins were with us. I've never seat in their patio area, it was wonderful! Shade, misters and ac though it was a hot 90 degree weather it was very cool and comfortable! Our food came out quickly and plated beautifully! Large portions. The food was amazing! So much flavors. The salmon paired perfectly well with the tzatziki sauce. The pasta was and the fried rice was delicious! The kids meal was also large portioned and enough for my kids to share and they enjoyed it. For dessert we ordered their frozen greek yogurt the baklava & honey was yum! Perfect treat to top our lunch! Will always recommend this place! They are Busy, but thankfully everything went smoothly.

I love their ordering system--you order first, then grab a seat while your food is prepared. The staff is always kind, attentive, and frequently checks in to make sure you have everything you need. They have a small patio that's nice, but I personally love sitting inside. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has such a warm, inviting atmosphere. My favorite thing about Heirloom is their rotating seasonal menu. There's always something new to try, which keeps me coming back. My all-time favorite is their seasonal fig pizza. I don't have a picture of it, but if it's on the menu when you visit, definitely order it! Their cocktails are also fantastic and pair perfectly with the food. If you're ever in Fresno, Heirloom is absolutely worth checking out.

They had a huge bar, lounge area, and an open kitchen with a lot of staff members working. Both inside and outside was nice with dim lighting. Very modern interior design with their tables, chairs, house plants, and neon signs. The service was top notch. The person came by to serve us water noticed our table was pretty wobbly so he fixed it instantly. I thought that was great for them to notice the small details. They always came by to fill our waters 4-5 times. They also remembered we were celebrating an anniversary so they offered us complementary champagne. Our waitress Celeste was very excellent. She gave suggested me dishes that I couldn't decide. We ended up getting the chicken taquitos ($17), the pork chop ($36) and the prime sirloin ($36). Food was delicious and everything tasted so good. I like the roasted Brussels spouts flakes on the pork chop and even though the sirloin was medium it was still very tender. Even the one time our water cups were empty she noticed and apologized and came back to refill them. The chicken taquitos were very good as well. Bathroom is a little small with only three stalls and one sink but the staff was nice enough to direct me to them cuz they saw I was looking around. Overall is a very good experience. I can see why they're very busy and I hope to come back to try their other dishes!

The reviews…read morespoke highly not only of the food, but also of the people--and they were absolutely right. From the moment we walked in, Cindy and the entire team at The Berrock Shop welcomed us with genuine kindness and warmth. The environment was so warm, comfortable, and inviting that after a long drive, it immediately felt like a place where you could relax and enjoy yourself. It's clear they care deeply about the experience they create for every customer. The food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and exactly what we needed after being on the road. But what truly stood out was the hospitality. It's rare to find a place where you feel less like a customer and more like family, and that kind of experience stays with people. This is actually my very first Yelp review, which hopefully says something about how strongly I feel about this restaurant. I will gladly go out of my way to stop here again. And for those who live in Fresno, I would absolutely encourage you to support this local business. Restaurants with this kind of heart, care, and welcoming atmosphere deserve to be celebrated and supported by the community.

I had three items off their menu, the patty melt, chicken pot pie, and the shredded roast berrock…read more The patty melt was the least offensive thing I ordered, being just alright. it was a bit overcooked at the edges, so the crust had a burnt taste. Patty and onions were decent. Pot pie was edible, but not great. The whole thing was dry, and the crust is a quickbread crust instead of a pie crust, which made it worse. They try to make up for it by giving you an extra serving of gravy on the side, but if you know your food is dry you should fix it instead of putting a bandaid over it. The Berrock was the absolute worst. I bit into it and it just tasted like salt. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I got into the meat portion of it and took another bite. Pure freaking salt. It's like someone decided salt is the only necessary seasoning for their food. I couldn't even taste the flavor of the meat itself over the taste of salt. I ended up throwing it away after two bites. If the best this shop can do is "it's okay" then I've zero reason to come back.
