What a great find. We travel through Carlisle every once in awhile. We try to stop at a different place for lunch or dinner. Marcello's was not far off the highway so we made it our choice. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and the eggplant rolotini. Both excellent! The sauce was just right. The portions were not crazy big. We did have leftovers, perfect for lunch tomorrow. The meals come with soup or salad. We both opted for salad. Homemade tomato basil dressing was great. No brewed iced tea, But getting hot tea and a cup of ice worked!! THE WORST!! Stopped by for lunch. Ordered Italian sub and side of onion rings. Sub was NOTHING but lettuce; one thin slice of fake ham, one thinner slice of salami and almost a half slice of cheese! Also, there was a real shortage of dressing on the sub unless you count the water on the head of shredded lettuce! My new favorite place. Been working so much I decided to order delivery. And I'll tell you what, made my night! They said an hour but it was 30 minutes. The delivery guy was super nice and even took the time to play around with our puppy. Food was hot! And to my surprise it came with bread, warm bread! We have eaten here or gotten takeout several times a year for the last 3-4 years and have never been disappointed. I love that they have several gluten-free options, like subs, pizza, & pasta. Just had GF seafood Misto tonight and it was loaded with scallops, shrimp, clams, & mussels. The white wine garlic sauce was perfect with the level of garlic just right. My first time at Marcello's. I will go back again. The decor was quite nice. A nice dining room on one side and a more casual area on the other side. I ordered calamari fritti as my appetizer. It was plentiful and good. My main entree was the Fra Diavolo (spicy) over linguine. The linguine was perfectly cooked. The Lobster Ravioli filled an 10 " plate. The lobster and ricotta cheese filling was delightful and the blush sauce had taste. Mixed in with the sauce was crab, asparagus and shrimp. We came to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Not a lot of Italian restaurants in town, but this one came highly reviewed. Service was wonderful (only two women - they worked so hard and were very cheerful!) You could tell the locals love this place and frequent it. The eggplant parm I had was wonderful. A hidden jewel I never would've found without Yelp! I got a daily special: veal with marinara, buffalo mozzarella, and some pasta on the side. I also had the Italian wedding soup. Everything was very flavorful and served hot. The veal was prepared perfectly, the pasta was perfectly cooked. The soup had the smallest spicy kick to it which made it perfect. Service was good. The place was quiet for the most part; some patrons had a few too many glasses of wine but their boisterousness can't be blamed on the restaurant. I picked up a meat lovers pizza from here for dinner tonight, 9/24/15, and I was pleasantly surprised! Pros: Great price for what you get. Our pizza was STACKED with meat! You definitely get more than enough food for the price that you pay. The pizza tasted delicious! I like the sauce and the toppings very much, although the crust had a little trouble holding up to all the toppings. Cons: A little greasy for my liking (although I think that was because of the large amount of meat on the pizza, so I'll forgive it more than usual) I'd definitely recommend giving this place was a try if you haven't yet! read more

I found Marcello's by using the Yelp app and searching for an establishment to dine at with my father on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered onion rings, chicken caesar salad, and a large plain pie. All of that food and two drinks came out to about $22, which is fair given the quality. The chicken caesar salad was one of the best I have tasted in recent memory. The pizza is not thin enough to be thin crust or thick enough to be Sicilian/deep-dish. So, it struck me as unnecessarily doughy . Good place to dine, and there is more depth to the menu than just variations of pizza. read more

We normally just order pizza when we do order from here but tonight U decided on somethi g a little different. I got my children something from their childrens menu, chicken fingers and fries for my 4 year old and a cheese burger and fries for my 3 year old. Their fries were soggy, and my 3 year old couldnt even eat her cheese burger! The roll was so hard I could barely even bite into it!! I had to put it on regular bread in order for her to eat it! I normally don't like to give bad reviews unless they are very much earned. So today this was earned I started off ordering their special 2 one-topping for 18.99. That's a good deal being as though that I have three young children and their friends over for a sleepover Perfect Price and I don't have to cook. I called and place my order at 3:12 pm. An hour passed I called them at 4:15 p.m. and ask them where was my order they informed me that they mixed up and had the wrong address. That's fine everybody makes mistakes the delivery guy makes it to my house and he is very polite I signed my ticket because I paid with my card he asked me if I need plates or hot pepper and I'm like sure I don't have to wash the dishes at this point I'm very happy he goes to the car and gets the plates and the peppers. As I go in the house and try to look at my order to see if it's correct the first pizza looks amazing the second Pizza pie however it's not what I ordered I asked for onions and steak they gave me onions and pork now my children don't eat pork so I could not feed that to them. I called back to the restaurant and inform them what happened they tell me that steak does not apply to the special which is fine but I should have been told before I ordered and it was delivered I was not so while on the phone with their representative he informed me that he can remake my pizza and I would just pay the difference for the meat. He did not give me a total he did not tell me how much it would be for the difference. Instead they charged me half price for a specialty pizza a cheese steak Pizza which I did not want I was very specific on what I wanted. When I informed them that I was not happy and that's not what I wanted the gentleman on the phone eventually got very rude which I can understand because I was frustrated but it was like I did something wrong like I messed the order up in all they did not remake my pizza and give me the difference for the topping they remade my pizza and made me pay for their mistake I am very unhappy with this service. So I called back this is the third time now and pretty much the person on the other end of the phone made me feel as though that I was not ordering right or that they were not at fault for messing up my order in the first place. Eventually I got fed up and I went to the establishment after I ordered delivery. The delivery guy was actually trying to take up for me because they were trying to say that I didn't pay for my first order and he insisted that I did ( don't know his name but he was very nice) when I got to the store with my box of pizza in hand somebody said can I help you and I said yes I walked to the counter and started to explain to them what happened an elderly gentleman with salt and pepper hair told me to calm down........ I disregarded his comments and explain to him what happened he did however give me my money back because I did not authorize the transaction on my card from the beginning of the. 2nd delivery but the experience here is like none other I never went through anything as disrespectful as this as far as customer service and I work in customer service it is shameful. I do not. Appreciate how I was treated and I do not appreciate them authorizing transactions on a card that they had no permission to do this restaurant would never get my business again and everyone that I know and Carlisle will know what happened to me today shameful read more

We ordered a take out order through grub hub delivery was great. But the chicken parmeson my husband got was more breading than chicken and it was burnt. We also ordered two chicken fingers and fries. You could taste it on the fries that it is time to change the oil gave the fries a funny taste. Dont think we will order anytime again soon read more

We go here all the time. Their food is authentic Italian and tastes amazing. The prices are also really decent. They make the bread fresh for their pizzas and subs, so if you come in at the right time you can smell amazing fresh bread right out of the oven. read more

Good food! We took our U14 girls soccer team (53 ppl) here after a long day of soccer. They hooked us up with a private room and buffet style catered dinner which was excellent.
