Such a great birthday restaurant! Our server Anthony was great. Would definitely recommend, ambiance was wonderful
I visited this location on a business lunch, and I was blessed enough to be able to taste several dishes. We started off with salads and the crispy broccoli. All of these were delicious, but the broccoli was my favorite. The flavor was so delicious. While we waited for our main dish, I ordered a passionfruit margarita and an espresso martini. Both drinks were very delicious and refreshing. My main dish was the salmon with black rice and an amazingly delicious avocado mousse. While the salmon was delicious, the star of the plate was the avocado mousse. It had a lemony taste that was perfect. We tried a variety of desserts including the tiramisu, cheesecake, and flourless chocolate cake. My favorite was the cheesecake. The chocolate cake was good but a bit on the too rich side. The restaurant itself has a nice view inside. I'm glad I was able to taste the food here.
I've been to Margot in Culver City three times : 1/25/2025 & 5/20/2023 & 4/21/2019. Each time I visited, I had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. It's truly a perfect spot for a date night, with a great ambiance that makes the experience even more special. The service was also very friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food here is consistently delicious. One dessert I highly recommend is the Flourless Chocolate Torte with Nutella crème fraîche and toasted hazelnuts. It's absolutely delicious--an absolute bomb. As an appetizer, I also really enjoyed the Pan con Tomate (grilled bread, fresh tomato, ricotta, and EVOO). It was so fresh and tasty. The last time I visited was on January 25, 2025, and below is what I posted on my Instagram that day: I went to Margot in Culver City for the third time, but I was disappointed that the dish I always enjoyed was no longer available. I really loved their Bombolotti pasta, but since it was gone, I tried a different pasta that the waitress recommended as a similar option--but it just wasn't the same. However, the flourless chocolate cake was absolutely delicious. (Saturday, January 25, 2025)
Made reservations for dinner with friends on a Friday night and we were seated immediately. My party ordered the Arancini, Charred Broccoli, Steak Tagliatelle, Seafood Risotto, and Pappardelle Bolognese. The arancini and bolognese were pretty standard dishes. Good but nothing spectacular. The risotto was good but I'm not the biggest fan of risotto in general. The steak was delicious with the chimichurri sauce; however, the steak itself was a little disappointing for how expensive it is. For $70, you would except it to be tender, but it was pretty tough and hard to cut. The real highlight of the dishes was the broccoli. I didn't know broccoli could be that good. The restaurant is on a rooftop, giving aesthetic vibes. This restaurant is more on the pricier side, and you are paying more for the view than the food.
I'm not sure why Margot has such a low rating on Yelp. I recently went back for the first time in a long time. I was in the area and although we just had drinks it was a lovely experience. The staff was friendly and the surface was fairly quick and very attentive, the ambiance was amazing as always. You have to take an elevator up to the third floor, I personally love when you can look down at all the string lights in the area below even while seated inside. This is the perfect spot for a date night, drinks with friends, or showing somebody who's visiting in town a cool spot near the Culver City/Palms area. I'll definitely be back to try the food again, but from what I remember years ago the food was pretty good too :)
We got the pappardelle and steak tagliata The pappardelle was delicious. I like bolognese so this was what i was looking for. I personally didn't like the steak and wouldn't recommend. It had a weird herbal flavor for me? Service was good and standard. We sat at the outdoor rooftop on a sunny LA afternoon and it was great vibes.
I have been wanting to go to Margot for years. I finally had the opportunity to go last Tuesday when I met an old friend for dinner. I was worried about parking but actually it was so easy to find a place where to park. My friend found a spot on the street and I parked on the parking structure across the street. Margot is a beautiful restaurant, the patio is amazing, I loved the decoration and the vibe. We were seated at the patio just next to a big heater which it was great., specially if you always get cold like me. This heater helped me to enjoy the beautiful ambiance of the patio and view. We shared the hamachi and charred broccoli, I basically devoured both. Then I ordered the salmon with wild rice which was outstanding, my friend ordered the gnocchi but I forgot to ask about his verdict. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which I loved. I will definitely come back If you haven't tried Margot, you have missed out a lot.
This is a new favorite dinner spot for sure! The patio on the roof is nice and has a good view of the Platform in CC as well as surrounding areas. The service was quick but not rushed making Margot a great place for a gathering. The food was excellent. All of the ingredients were so fresh and the flavors were unique and addicting. The drinks are also tastefully crafted. Margot is on InKind if you're looking for a deal, which came in handy for my dining group!
On Easter, 7 of us went to have lunch at Margot in Culver City. Our reservations were for 1 pm and my sister and I parked in the parking structure across the street from the shopping center where the restaurant is located. It was easy and not expensive to park I think it was $5. We were surprised to find that it was not crowded. Walking through the shopping center to the restaurant was very nice, with lots of cute shops so give yourself time to look around either before or after your meal. The entrance to the restaurant is really pretty. We even took some photos of the sign walking in. The indoor dining area is light and bright with lots of natural lighting. We requested to be seated in the patio where there were plenty of umbrellas for shade and nice views of the surrounding landscape. We were promptly greeted by our server and we ordered drinks. Service was not rushed nor was it too slow. I ordered the Utopia, a mocktail... and I have to say it was the best I have had. Not too sweet and looked very pretty with jalapeño dust on the side of the glass. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a non-alcoholic option. All of the other cocktails ordered by our party were equally enjoyable. We ordered several appetizers; the oysters, the hamachi, the charred broccoli and the arancini. All of the appetizers were delicious. My favs were the hamachi and the charred broccoli. I ordered the spicy meatball sandwich for lunch. It was tasty but I found it a bit dry. I probably wouldn't order it again but I brought half of it home and my boyfriend loved it. My sister ordered the fried chicken and she raved about it. I didn't hear any complaints about the other dishes that were ordered. I have included pictures of everything that we ordered. I would definitely go back and we all enjoyed our time, meals and drinks. One thing to pay attention to is the 4% restaurant fee, which the check states is optional and will be removed upon request. We chose to keep the fee and just adjusted the tip accordingly.
We had a very nice dinner at Margot. The food was excellent and service was friendly and efficient. Our server was on top of everything and she took great care of us. The restaurant is contemporary and it was very loud. In my opinion it is much more of an adult atmosphere and I did not see any children. The cost my pasta dinner should have been $10 less as $36 for the pasta dish, in my opinion was a bit high. But it was excellent and I did enjoy it. I think the portion size might be a bit small for a hearty eater though. Also expect to spend at least $10 or more to park. I have never seen restrooms like they have. They have several private rooms and a communal area to wash your hands. It seemed to work very well.
Long story short, avoid Margot, and it's on the NOT RECOMMEND list! Ambiance 4/5: it's a cozy and quiet restaurant located on the third level inside the shopping mall next to the metro station, stylish decorations and spacious indoor and outdoor dining area, clean individual restrooms Service 2/5: friendly although very slow, it took a while to get water and food served, I felt being rushed for eating there, our plates were taken away after we put down the utensils and paused a bit, despite there was still a bit left on the plates to finish, it's not like during rush hours people waiting for tables or they were closing for the day, you really don't have to rush your customers Food 1/5: simple menu items for food, not that many choices for both lunch and dinner, their food seems not meeting the sanitation requirements, unfortunately, both got stomach and diarrhea issues after eating here ham and burrata sandwich - ** serrano ham, local burrata, arugula pesto, flavorless sandwich pappardelle - *** ragu bolognese, meat sauce was good, but pasta was undercooked and on the chewier side Price 0/5: small to medium portions and slightly overpriced for its quality, expect about $40 per person. I feel this place is entitled and sneaky, be aware of the 4% restaurant fee, which you wouldn't be able to see the breakdown until you paid the bill, neither the server mention anything before we paid, nor it's not written anywhere on their website or menu. Even though it's optional and can be removed as shown on the receipt, how would you be able to do that without knowing its existence and seeing the term at the first place. We ended up paying more than expected, literally feels like tipping 24% instead of 20%. To be clear it's not about money, I'm okay tipping more or less by my own choice, but I'm definitely not okay being tricked by their shifty system. It could be worse, as this additional fee without advance notice, charged by the restaurant may not even go to the servers in the end, objectively their menu price is high enough to accommodate their mediocre food, business doing things like this won't last in the long run, as it's hard to retain returning customers.
I've been to Margot many times over the years, and my favorite dish is the broccoli. Other items I typical get include: Steak and eggs - part of the brunch menu Broccoli - this is my favorite, it had an excellent vinaigrette yogurt dressing and there's something crunchy on top (I think fried quinoa) that really adds to the overall texture Ora King Salmon - the salmon itself is excellent and melts in your mouth. I especially like the crispy skin on the salmon. The seasoning is simple but good. I'm not a fan of the side salad and sauce that comes with it though. Atmosphere is excellent and service is fine but can be slow sometimes. I like to sit on the patio area, especially on a warm night. My rating is just for the food.
The cuisine is a mix of Californian-Italian-Mediterranean, and everything I've had is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is hip, trendy, and upscale, but without feeling pretentious. They have large windows, setting the perfect vibe for either day or night dining. You wouldn't think frayed black rope hanging from a tall ceiling would look cool in a space, but it works here. The bathrooms are individual stalls (my preference - I don't want to hear other people using the restroom) and they have my favorite Aesop hand soap! We all had a drink and shared 4 small dishes + 1 entree, and it came out to ~$79 per person for 3 people. We were easily able to make a reservation for Margot on the Resy app, and we were able to specify that we wanted to sit in the indoor dining room since it was cold outside (although I love the vibes on the patio). For parking, we self parked in the lot right across the street (8850 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232) and walked through the Platform shopping center. To get to Margot, you take the swanky elevator (hidden in a corner, next to the jewelry store Catbird) and go to the top floor. I loved everything we had and would repeat this exact order again. Here was our order: Yellowtail crudo ($26) calabrian kosho, radish, citrus. Refreshing, citrus-forward, perfect texture. I loved this so much that next time I would order both crudos to share. Patatas bravas ($16) crispy fingerlings potato's with smoked paprika aioli on the side. Yummy for anyone who enjoys potatoes. Wild arugula salad ($20) with hazelnuts, vinaigrette, thinly sliced apples, and Manchego sheep cheese. Light & delicious. Charred broccoli ($24) with garlic yogurt, black garlic vinaigrette, feta. It didn't say it on the menu, but I'm pretty sure it's topped with quinoa. An absolute must order. For our entrée, since we were already on a seafood theme, we went with the Ora king salmon ($38) with black rice, avocado mousse, leeks, and serrano aioli. House Cocktail: The Hugo ($18) with elderflower, Prosecco & mint. Non-alcohol Mocktail: Arancia Spritz ($14) Lyre's Italian orange non-alcoholic spirit & soda. Leaning sweet without being overpowering, served in a fun glass.

One of my favorite places that I've visited in Culver! The food is wonderful, the service was pleasant, and the ambiance is so chic! It was a bit pricey but I was happy that they delivered on the quality. A girlfriend and I made a reservation for earlier today (Saturday) and we were promptly seated inside. The restaurant is on the third floor and has a great view of Culver near the arts district. I ordered the bombolotti and a hibiscus & tequila cocktail that the waiter suggested. My friend ordered the spaghetti and we both loved both the quality and quantity of the food. I was surprised how filling the dish was (I couldn't finish it all). I also liked that the restaurant had a good amount of people but wasn't packed. I will be returning soon! read more

Rooftop restaurant in Culver with tasty cocktails and shareable plates. Had a reservation for two at 7:45pm on a Tuesday and got seated by the outermost edge of the restaurant patio, which was perfect since we had an unobstructed view of Culver/the metro station. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. When you arrive to the entrance, take the elevator up to the third floor. Garage parking and metered street parking is available. Credit cards are accepted. The bathrooms are mixed-use and they have Aesop soap, which I liked. There's an 18% service charge automatically included. There was a bit of a wait in getting seated and getting food, but we took a leisurely approach to the meal. The raspberry spritz cocktail was refreshing, and the focaccia is a must-get (you have the choice of either pimento cheese or garlic & tomato confit). The potatoes bravas were very heavy. The spaghetti was on the smaller side, and the noodles were cooked al dente. The chocolate torte came with a generous amount of crushed hazelnuts and chocolate, and wasn't overly sweet. Overall, it's a good spot for a date night/hangout with a small group of friends. read more

Came here as my girlfriend wanted to do an early birthday dinner on a rooftop. We were able to try a bevy of different appetizers, including the wild arugula salad, potatoes bravas, and hamachi crudo. Think the hamachi crudo was my favorite since I am such a sucker for yellowtail. For my entrée, I broke my usual minimal carbs rule and went with the rigatoni. Thought it was cooked really well, the pasta was soft but chewy. Pesto flavor permeated the entire dish, and the short rib rage was a nice touch. So why exactly am I giving three stars? Because the food was solid, but not for the price we were paying. Salad was $18, potatoes were $14, hamachi was $22. Rigatoni was $32. My girlfriend's seafood risotto was $45! Spaghetti at $24 might've been one of the few things that were remotely "worth" the price, and even that is a stretch. There's definitely a rooftop view tax built into these prices, because everything at a normal restaurant surely would've been $5 to $10 less per dish. Don't get me started on some of these drink prices either. Service was great. Our server John took very good care of us. No complaints here! I will say the view was nice as we came around sunset and got a chance to see the sun go down. Wish I had brought a jacket though, because it did get a tad chilly on the rooftop. Overall, the value for money is not there. The food is fine, but not for how much we paid. I've been to many rooftop restaurants where you're getting better views and food for a similar price. read more

First time back since pandemic began and definitely glad to be back, but will say the experience wasn't quite as good as it used to be. Margot no longer validates valet nor provides any discount whatsoever for the parking. Hostess was kind and did a great job when checking covid vaccine cards. Server wasn't the greatest as she didn't know a lot about the menu, not great knowledge about availability of cocktails, and kinda brought the check quite quickly over without anyone asking. Food itself was still very good. Table started with charred broccoli and hamachi crudo. Everyone enjoyed their own main dishes (with of course a little sharing for taste testing). Main dishes included the fried chicken (with side of greens), Wagyu steak (with eggs and fingerling potatoes), oat milk blueberry pancakes, and creamy polenta. All dishes were amazing...but I would say the fried chicken and oat milk blueberry pancakes were the clear winners!! read more

Food was solid, my friend and I came on a Saturday at 5:40 I made reservations day of , valet downstairs , if not there is parking in the corner structure which isn't far but valet is convenient and easy, especially for walking in heels! read more

Gorgeous dinner spot! Came here for my birthday. We sat on the rooftop and were able to catch the sunset during our dinner. They keep is warm up there on colder nights with heat lamps. Definitely on the pricier end. Espresso martini was fantastic! The pasta dish and the paella were nothing special in our opinions (would not order again). The meat was very tasty however! Service was great and super attentive. Overall, great dinner spot if you want a beautiful setting. read more

Let's start with the good : The location in Culver City on top of Platform is easy to access and offers nice views from the patio tables. The bad: After trying to call for reservations several times, we gave up and showed up for an early dinner as walk ins. We were promptly seated near the kitchen door and told the outdoor tables were reserved. It was 6pm when we arrived and 7:30pm when we left, and the entire time we watched as tables on their outdoor patio remained open. Their food is palatable, but nothing is particularly memorable, which considering their prices is a shame. Since I am paying $18 for a salad, $28 for pasta, and $48 for a small sea bream, at least one of the plates should make me smile with delight rather than frown in disappointment. When we got the bill we were notified of the 18% service charge on our $200 total check. They explained that adding a tip to the service charge was at our discretion, so we declined. A few days later we saw that we were charged $294 on our card and when we called the restaurant twice to talk to them (left voice mail both times) about the charge we never got a call back. We consider the credit card charge the price we paid to learn not to eat at Margot again. read more
Great spot for a quintessential, casual But classy , evening out in a Happening (but not overly crowded and touristy) part of LA. Located in the Culver City platform, Margo is in a prime spot at the rooftop. Valet is available right at the bottom of the restaurant. But there is also a platform parking structure across the way. I tried the Summer Harvest cocktail made of bourbon, mezcal, chocolate chili bitters, vanilla bitters. I knew it was a weird combination, but i wanted to try to trust the menu. Alas, it was not to my liking and I did send it back and replaced it with a standard Tempranillo wine which was great. Our servers were excellent attending to my volatile drinking preferences we ordered off the vegan menu. Loved that this had a separate Vegan Menu to quickly point out the vegan dishes. Though arguable any of the salads and many main dishes could also be made vegan sans cheese and some dressings.... Had the focaccia which came with a LOT of garlic in the confit. Great for garlic lovers but it was intense. Vegan Charred broccoli was great - had a sweeter Sichuan type flavor. Spaghetti was just OK. Braised chickpeas was the best and most flavorful dish with a crisp masa to top it off! Food is great (on the pricier side). Cocktails are unique and very specific. Ambience is the biggest winner here. Great vibes. Good for groups and dates! read more
The world has been turned upside down since the pandemic hit...When we were allowed to start having dine out experiences it was fantastic because Margot is basically outside...I went and ordered a Jane's addiction cocktail. It was absolutely fantastic...was supposed to meet a friend. I ended up getting stood up. After having a delicious salad and enjoying being outside I had my friend pick me up and I from there and went on to have a very enjoyable evening. Food here is delicious cocktails are fantastic beautiful view and gorgeous when the sun sets. Since it's so hard to get an Uber and even harder to get a lift this place is in close proximity to the Expo line so you can hop on and head home or wherever! read more

We came here with reservations on a Wednesday night for my friend's birthday. The decor is so cute, definitely a good date night vibe. Parking is a little ways away in a parking garage, however the walk isnt too far. We ordered all of the shareable plates and then got entrees. Nothing really memorable food wise, but we all had a good time and drinks were pretty good. Our server (can't remember his name) was super nice and on top of beverages! read more
Margot is such a lovely restaurant with a nice sky view. It is located on the top floor. To get here, you'll take an elevator into a beautifully decorated restaurant. Our server was so amazing. My family had a really nice lunch here with the service and ambiance. The food is really good and flavorful, we were all very full at the end of our meal. Worth visiting and definitely will be coming back! read more

We decided on Margot for our friend's birthday dinner and it was amazing! We sat indoors and their space is gorgeous. We loved the ambiance. We were quickly greeted by our server, who took our drink orders. They have a limited cocktail menu, but their Black Mamba (with mezcal + habanero) is exceptional. Everyone loved it. We ordered quite a few dishes, such as their arugula salad, seafood risotto, and wagyu. They were great! Perfectly cooked and flavorful. Each dish was unique and we're totally looking forward to our next visit. Can't wait to work our way down their menu! read more

PARKING: structure across the ways is $2/1 hour, $3/2 hours, and then gets more pricey. $12 valet also available for 5 hours You have to enter via elevator to the top floor of the platform. Easy entrance through the valet area. AMBIANCE: a little upscale/ boho modern design. Patio area with their bar is very nice to hang for drinks (might need resy due to pandemic) but the indoor dining is on point! SERVICE: super friendly and helpful waitress. Note 18% service charge is automatically added. BRUNCH FOOD: pricey and smaller portions but each dish has a good/unique flavor profile! There isn't a huge selection and the prices are a little too much for what little you get. Potatoes and chicken were nice and crispy though! 3/5 because their prices are def just a little too much DRINKS: can't go wrong with their mixed drinks! Strong and tasty :9 read more
Staff, food, and setting are all incredible. I ate more than what's pictured I just forgot to take pictures because of how much fun I was having!! They are super accommodating for any dietary restrictions you have and check up on you a healthy amount and give you recommendations to help you narrow down your decision. You cannot go wrong with the salmon, spaghetti, broccoli, crudo, or potatoes at all! I only wish there was a wider selection because they've nailed everything they've got. read more
Went on a Monday around 7 and got serviced quickly upon arrival with no reservation. I found the customer service to be impeccable. Attentive bussers and servers. I found the vibe of the place to be upscale. As someone not into veggies, I was very impressed by the broccoli dish and wished the other plates were of larger portion size. Dessert is definitely worth ordering here though. Would totally come again for dinner menu (heard it's stronger than the brunch menu). read more
I decided to make reservations here as a friend was visiting and wanted a change of scenery from Santa Monica/DTLA. We were off to a bad start as I had a reservation but still had to wait an additional 20 mins for the table. The outdoor seating area was nice and they had heated lamps to keep everyone warm. The food was pretty good overall but the portions, especially the entree was very disappointing. The pork chop was more an appetizer size and definitely not worth the $40+ I paid for it. If I'm paying $100+pp, I'm expecting to be somewhat satisfied with the meal. Also, a bit unsure about their 18% service fee then stating it's not a tip/gratuity. I would much rather much have the fee just included to pay their staff a higher hourly wage. Parking options are valet for $10, which they don't validate or self-parking in the Platform Parking lot. read more

Located on a rooftop at the Platform in Culver City, this restaurant is the epitome of West LA trendy brunch aesthetic!! Recommend that you make a reservation online! We had a 2pm reservation on a Saturday and still had to wait a bit while they got our table ready. | p a r k i n g | Park at the Platform structure right across the walkway. We paid $5 for 2-3 hours which isn't too bad. Street parking is limited. | f o o d | The menu has pretty limited options, but they do offer a full vegan brunch menu as well which is cool to see. My friends and I ordered a variety of items to share: 1. Fried chicken ($24): we ordered 2 of these and were pleasantly surprised!! Crispy exterior but moist interior. It wasn't seasoned too heavily but also not bland. 2. Charred broccoli ($18): served on a garlic yogurt sauce!The char does add some smokiness to the broccoli, but it's not too noticeable. A good option if you're looking for a veggie side dish. 3. Wild arugula salad ($18): very refreshing salad. I normally don't enjoy fruits in my salads, but the thin apple slices were a great touch of sweetness. The dressing was a bit tart but not heavily dressed so it was a great balance. 4. French toast ($16): wasn't too big of a fan bc I don't have a huge sweet tooth and the bread was too soft/mushy for me. BUT my friends really enjoyed it. The cinnamon ricotta is a very unique topping! Would recommend if you love sweets or as a dish to share. | d r i n k s | 1. Strawberry spritz ($16): so cute and pink! I had this place bookmarked for a long time and finally got to visit over the weekend for lunch. I was so excited because I made reservations a month ago and saw the great reviews. The moment I got off, I was so glad I chose Margot because the ambiance was just what I was looking for. We checked in, but there was a delay and it looked like they were trying to figure out where to seat us. Not sure why it took them so long because we had a reservation. After waiting a few minutes, we were seated outside in a corner where the speakers were. I'm not sure if this area was meant to have a table but I guess due to social distancing, they made it work. To be honest, the loud music was getting a bit annoying because the speakers were literally right next to me. It made it hard for me to enjoy my meal, but I kept patient and didn't say anything. After minutes of waiting and waiting with no water or silverware, I had to walk over and grab someone's attention so we could finally place an order. Nobody checked in on us or seemed to care about us. Our server told us that nobody told her we were there. (I got a bit annoyed because I was getting quite hungry) Our server was nice, but I thought someone should have told her that we were seated in a corner that's not visible. Also, the views/vibe sucked, obviously because we were in a shitty corner. I would have given this place another chance so I can enjoy the good vibes of this cute rooftop restaurant, but the food isn't good enough to come back, nor is the 18% service charge for the bad service. The server also emphasizes that this "service charge" is not tip and stands there with the credit card machine, demanding gratuity. Food- The only thing I enjoyed were the potatoes, which came out surprisingly quick! The avocado toast was way too salty and the bread was soggy. The poached eggs were too salty and the dish didn't taste good. Spent over $70 on mediocre food and bad service in an awful corner where I almost lost my hearing during the meal. In fact, we were out of the restaurant within and hour and had to get more food downstairs... They don't validate parking, but it was $3 for 2 hrs in the structure so not too bad. I would definitely not recommend this place, and regretted not going to Roberta's or even Bluestone Lane downstairs. read more

Beautiful rooftop restaurant with some delicious food. We came for a late dinner and were able to be seated with a reservation thankfully. We got the Spaghetti and the Chili Marinated Prawns, and I will say the Chili Marinated Prawns was one of the best dishes I had in any restaurant. The prawns were so flavorful, and the socca underneath it was such a great touch--I had never heard of socca until then, but it reminded me of the Korean "pancake"/jeon. The restaurant was a bit pricy (personally the Spaghetti was just ok), and the service was at times non-existent, but we still had a great time here. I'm looking forward to coming back! read more

Went with a group of 7 for dinner. The vibe, food, ambiance, and service was amazing! I wish I remembered who our server was, but she was incredible! She was upbeat and super friendly. The food was delicious! You definitely need to try their broccoli and toast with eggplant dip. Their drink special that evening was Paloma, which was refreshing! I would've had more glasses, but I controlled myself to two. As for food, I had a shrimp tagliantini. It was delicious! I would have finished it if I hadn't eaten so much of the appetizers. Lol. Great ambiance and stellar service. Food super solid. See image of receipt for what we ordered. All dishes solid with salad, bombolotti pasta and pork chop very good. Not cheap as dinner for four with a $55 bottle of wine came to $317 with tax and tip. read more

This was a girls' brunch that I ended up attending here. The service was nice and the ambience of the restaurant was pleasing. I had the fried chicken with Calabrian honey and market greens. Chicken was just ok and greens were... greens. Nothing to run, yelling at the mountains to try. This place is on the more $$$ side with the food not really upholding to the price. read more
Really nice ambience. The place is very modern and well decorated. Rooftop was well heated. However the view wasn't what I expected. I give Margot a 3.5. The ambiance at Margot is perfect. You take an elevator up to and your greeted with a super cool wall and walk to a nice dinner area with an out door patio. We went here on a sunny day and dined outside. There's lights and it over looks culver. The server was super attentive and was there filling our waters, taking our plates...just overall amazing service. The food was average. The yellowtail crudo was my favorite item of the night. It was citrusy and fresh. But the pastas were just okay. I got the tagliarini, it was light and refreshing but it felt like something was missing to give it that oomf, a little bland. GREEDY restaurant. Take a look at my check & read what it says at the bottom.. a "4% restaurant fee is optional"... Never seen that before. We opted out obviously. Our waitress even apologized and said she's embarrassed. Not to mention a tiny menu with crazy prices.. When you walk in you see everything premade. (Wedding vibes) not returning. read more
Overhyped. I've been here 3 or so times, mostly for breakfast/lunch but once for a work dinner. Got the wagyu and it was above-average but not great. Most of the food I've tried here was average at best. The atmosphere is really nice and the drinks are pretty good, but it's just not that impressive. I wish it was a little more casual like a proper rooftop bar (EP&LP, for example, which isn't even my favorite bar but not as sit-down heavy), but instead they really push for the dining agenda which takes away from its potential quite a bit. I love Platform though, it's a shame that Margot has the exact expectations of a hotel restaurant. read more

Are gluten free pasta noodles available as a substitution option for the pasta dishes?
Is indoor seating better than patio for an evening?
While I have only been there for lunch, I always perfer the patio when weather permits. They do have heaters on the patio, if needed.
Is bar seating open?
I wouldn't recommend that, when we had our advance reservation, Margot called to cancel our reservation while we were driving to the restaurant.
Do they take walk-ins right now or is it reservation only?
They take both. Reservations preferred due to wait times on weekends.
What vegan options do they have?
They have a very small vegan Option of basically salads.
Does Margot have live music now during covid with only patio dining ? If so which days?
No live music currently. They do, however, have plans to start back next year.
Is this a kind of place where guys can wear proper suit?
I'm sure lots of men come here after work in their suits. It's a hip spot.
Is patio better or inside?
The patio! However make sure construction from the building across the street is done.
How do you make reservations for a party under 15? The automated system is terrible
I used Resy for a party of 11; no issues. You do have to give a credit card to reserve but can cancel up to 24 hours in advance.
Is it fun for a birthday celebration? Do they have music on Thursday night?
It is perfect for a birthday! Beautiful spot, good food, nice atmosphere, and they do have live music many nights of the week and a live jazz band during Sunday afternoons. I would call to double check Thursdays. Open until 2 AM daily.
What type of music is played in the outside bar?
On weekends we have been there is a lovely 5 piece Big Bang style. It's quite lovely!
Do they have parking?
Yea free valet in the garage only for Margot patrons. I guess just tip payment if you please.
Do you allow dogs during brunch?
Yes, I have been there with my dog, a big doberman, and they welcomed her with love and fresh water. We sat outside though, and normally that's the rule, dogs have to be outside. But it's a rooftop so you will enjoy being outdoors!
Do they only take reservations or can you just walk in?
Seating areas in the bar for walk ins.
