Had a great dinner with an abundant amount of delicious food. Enjoyed the healthy shrimp dinner - good sized shrimp well prepared, the menu said 10 but I counted 12. Cucumbers, tomato, avocado and cheese topped it off. My companion ordered the chile rellenos with charro beans and thoroughly enjoyed it (and took half of it home.) This isn't my go-to, sit-down Mexican food place in Georgetown. But I never hesitate to order pick-up here or have a sit-down meal for a change of pace and I've not been disappointed when I do. The food has been delicious and authentic when I've eaten there. Their seasonings are very good. Their meats are well-seasoned and sauces hot and/or savory where appropriate. And the servers are awesome! Always friendly. I've seen some critiques of the atmosphere in the restaurant. My experience is less-refined Mexican restaurants usually give you more authentic dishes. This is no dive, by any means! But I don't find it a distraction to enjoying the wonderful dishes either. True, it is probably more of a family restaurant than a date restaurant. But it is also more of a genuine Tex-Mex experience than many other, more expensive restaurants where I've dined. read more

This is a great little place. Besides having some of the best margaritas, it has great food. The best thing is the staff though. It has a tangible family feel. They care about their restaurant and the food they put out. Everyone is always smiling and laughing behind the counters. Do they get busy and behind? Yes, but that means it good. One of our favorite Mexican food spots in Georgetown! For breakfast my favorite is the chilaquiles con queso. For lunch and dinner the carne asada plate is my go to, the nopales are DELICIOUS and it's low carb! When I don't get the carne asada bring me all the enchiladas! If you are looking for reasonable prices this is the spot. However, their customer service is not the best. Not saying it was bad but there is definitely room for improvement. For example water did not make it to our table until or meal came and water is usually the first item at the table along with the chips and salsa. Another would be that when they brought the queso out they didnt bring chips. Apparently, this establishment isn't concerned that their servers are stealing from customers. Picked up a to go order and kept a copy of the receipt which I compared to the charge that cleared and it was $5 dollars higher then the receipt amount. Called the manager, who admitted that the amount paid had been increased by $5 and when he discussed with the server, she "didn't recall" changing the amount. This scam probably is happening on a regular basis with hopes that the customer will not notice. I will never request this establishment again and bother will anyone that I know. It is not the amount, it is the principal here that pissed me off. read more

Really disappointed. We had the taco plate. The meat was tasteless the rice we didn't care for and the refried beans were ok. Very disappointed we used to love the food there. We hadn't been in a while. The last time we had breakfast there and was very disappointed with the migas. I used to get them every week on a Friday. But the were all chips hardly any egg. Get thin crispy chips and save the hard, chip a tooth, non tasty, salt doesn't stick chips for the nachos. AND maybe the 3 salsas that you have available will taste better. This is definitely the real deal when it comes to Tex Mex. My only issue was with cleanliness. Found a hair on one of our plates which was gross. However, the service was great and the food was pretty good. The queso was great and the warm salsa was my favorite. The enchilada and carne guisada lunch special was pretty good but at that point I was turned off by the hair on the plate and couldn't really enjoy it. The pricing is good and the portions are pretty big. Just needs a little tune up in the cleanliness department but other than that, I think I'd be all about this place. read more

Love their table side guacamole! I really enjoyed the beef fajita nachos as the bits of steak are tiny so I didn't make a mess eating them. The refried beans have a great flavor ( don't taste like they just came out of a can). I just moved to Georgetown and this is my "go to" Mexican restaurant. We've lived in GT since '14 and have been here all of two times. Tonight was the second and last time. You guys have jacked up your prices due to your being shut down by Atmos Energy's gas leak. You are passing your prices down to your patrons. We ordered a small side of guacamole and it was 5.25. When I asked about it I was told "Sorry, due to our being recently reopened we have to get back some of the money we lost" Maybe you should recoup your losses from Atmos and not your patrons. The combo tacos were very good, sizable and reasonably priced....it had everything but the kitchen sink....my wife had the omelet plate, it was good as well, but she's going to do one taco next time...omelet plate was way too much food for her. This place is okay, I guess. I'm giving it a 3 star rating because I'm from El Paso, and I'm used to authentic Mexican food being along the border. I think once you get deep into Texas, that authenticity goes away and they cater to lots of White folks; thus the red and green salsa not being spicy. I had the barbecue plate, in El Paso and Northern Mexico we call that barbacoa. It was delicious, not too greasy, it came with eggs, hash browns that resemble those from McDonald's, and beans that seemed canned, not fresh made. My dad had the menudo, which was odd. Odd because they give you corn tortillas, jalapeños, cilantro, and onion. I guess that's how they serve it down in South Mexico and Jalisco? In El Paso, Chihuahua, and Durango, menudo is served with onion if you want, oregano, no jalapeño or cilantro, and pan francesito! I still don't understand the concept of Migas? I guess it's a Central Texas, Tex-Mex invention; anyways it didn't look appetizing. You will just have to come check this place out and you be the judge! read more
