We hadn't been to this Marie Callender's location in years and decided to give it another try, but we definitely won't be back. The inside looks old and really needs an update. They also seemed totally understaffed because we only saw one server working the whole floor, and it was quite busy, especially on Mother's Day, so it took quite a while just to order. They had AYCE Brunch but closed at 2 p.m. We got there around 1-ish, so we skipped the AYCE Brunch. We ordered the Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon ($24.99), Mini Chicken Pot Pie Combo ($17.99), Albacore Tuna Melt ($16.99), Onion Rings ($1.99), and the Artichoke & Mushroom Chicken Dinner ($29.99). As for the food, the Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon had an okay glaze, but the salmon itself was a bit dry. The Mini Chicken Pot Pie combo came with a Caesar salad and a free slice of apple pie, but the pie was way too soft, and the pot pie texture wasn't nearly as good as the one I had at Moffett's in Arcadia, despite having a flaky crust. The Albacore Tuna Melt was actually pretty decent with the melted cheese, avocado, tomato, and bacon on sourdough, and the onion rings were good and crispy. Finally, the Artichoke & Mushroom Chicken Dinner came with a pretty good potato cheese soup. I liked their flavorful rice pilaf, but the chicken breast itself was way too dry, and the coconut cream pie dessert had a completely wrong texture. Overall, between the slow service and the dry food, it just wasn't worth it. We are definitely skipping this location from now on.

I've always enjoyed the food and service at marie. Calenders. It's sad that alot of them closed.down. THE PIES ARE.DELESCIOUS ! My goto is Lemon Merange sooooo yummy... the merange is my favorite part. My goto entries are the turkey bacon croissant! This time I got it to go and it was soggy as hell. It's better if you dine in. The staff is always friendly and the service ner fails to be excellent. FYI THE FRIES ARE AWFUL! Unless you like soggy fries, I sure.dont, you can exchange them for a small bowl of fruit... that's what I do, so leave room for pie and your stomach will thank you... ohhh and ask for extra ranch and ketchup, they fries are sort of bland

Whenever we're on this side of town, we love visiting this particular Marie Callender's location. They have freshly baked pies on the daily. This Marie Callender's location on Atlantic Blvd. also provides great customer service. During this visit, we purchased their classic Apple Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie and Custard Pie. These are our favorite Marie Callender's pies. One of my other favorites are the Keylime Pie and Strawberry Cheesecake. So good! Also whenever you come back to purchase more pies don't forget to bring the tins back. If you bring the tins back they will credit you $0.80 per tin.

We were glad to find this location still in business and made it a point to go check it out. The place is tired, signage looks old in the entrance and front counter area. My Turkey dinner was extremely salty. It did look nice! My dining companion's pot pie had next no chicken in it. Our food server never checked on how our meals were, did he know? We were seated by the bar by an intoxicated loud man and his elderly Father. It might be wise to not sit in that area. I was so looking forward to this. There is another Marie Callendars to the East, I believe, and they have higher ratings. It's really a shame, they use to be so good, then I'm probably relying on memories from over 20 years ago.

The food, bomb. I had the shepherds pie which I forgot The coconut cream pie?? I'll have 10 of those please. The atmosphere, chill. Now the service, where was my water when we ran out ? Overall. I'd give this place a 3/5 stars. My server was friendly, amazing. I'd go back to give it a second chance, but definitely that pie stole my heart. We will definitely come back and in hopes I can give this place 5 stars

I used to go to Marie Callender's in Glendale a very very long time ago. But, it was permanently closed a very long time ago. So when my friend said she wanted to stop by Marie Callender's during our Palm Springs trip, I thought it would be a nice nostalgic visit -- and we went. We arrived around noon and ordered the 2 for $52 deal, which included an appetizer, entrée, and a slice of pie for dessert -- a great value. (And, I ordered decaf coffee). For the appetizer, we first ordered the cheese sticks, but they were unfortunately not good at all. We asked if we could switch to something else, and they allowed it. My friend chose the artichoke dip instead, and that one was very good. For entrees, we ordered the Stroganoff with noodles and the chicken fettuccine pasta. Both dishes were tasty and satisfying. For dessert, we chose the banana cream pie and the chocolate pie -- both were delicious. However, the service was a big issue. Our waitress rarely came by even when we tried calling her, and she didn't check on us for long periods of time. My friend even had to walk over toward the kitchen area multiple times to get her attention, and even then we still had to wait quite a while. Later, the waitress explained that there was a big party group, which made it difficult for her to come to our table. (On my way back from the restroom, I also saw the party -- my friend said it looked like a baby shower.) But honestly, this explanation didn't make much sense to me. The restaurant had many empty tables, and there were plenty of other servers. A restaurant should assign one server to the large group and still have another server properly handle the smaller tables. The lack of organization really showed. Another issue: our table filled up with dishes and wasn't cleared promptly. Because of that, when I was trying to put leftovers into a to-go box, I accidentally spilled the entire Stroganoff onto the floor. OMG. It was embarrassing, but at the same time it happened partly because the table was just too cluttered. Fortunately, another staff member quickly came over and cleaned it up. We moved to another table to enjoy our pies, but again, no one came by for a long time. Eventually, I had to walk to the counter myself to pay and hand them my card. The restaurant server was friendly, but the service felt very unorganized, slow, and frustrating. Being ignored for long stretches, having to keep going to the kitchen to find our server, and waiting endlessly just to check if we needed anything -- all of it made the experience much less enjoyable.

It wouldn't be a birthday celebration without the banana cream pie. I stopped in shortly after opening on Wednesday so it was pretty empty. They offer plenty of parking adjacent to the restaurant in their open private lot. In addition to the pie, I also picked up oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies. They are baked fresh daily, are larger than most and pretty delicious. At $1.24 each, they taste even better. There's a $5 off promo on all pies right now. As far as the service, I was a bit underwhelmed considering I was the only one ordering and the two at the pie counter were very focused on setting up the area than on the customer experience. Perhaps training was taking place.

Please be cautious! We ordered from the happy hour chicken wings and we found a mini roach! So gross thank goodness I saw it before eating anything. It also didn't help that the waiter kept denying it and said that was a chili flake. Check your pies and food before eating. Avoid if possible probably has more mini roaches!

It is Christmas .... So went to Marie Callender to get a Turkey dinner and a banana pie. It is a banana cream pie not as good as as the Marine pie, but still pretty good. The dinner I bought it for someone else, but the turkey looks like thick pieces and plenty of foods. The turkey dinner was $20, but it is ok. It is Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Ray out.

They have the best banana cream pie ever. Fresh bananas paired with perfectly sweeten banana pudding that isn't overwhelming.

I usually like this place but they do typically forget something on the to go orders and today I got a moldy tomato in my Frisco works burger. Good thing it fell apart so I didn't eat the disgusting tomato. I definitely wasn't able to eat the rest of my burger. I can't believe they even put this on the burger! This also means they just cut the produce they know is bad and serve it. I'm highly disappointed!

    What was in my chili?!?!

Not sure why there was a guy working on a greasy low boy near the outdoor seating. It's got a family chill vibe for sure. Decor is dated but it's ok. Doesn't really remind me of Hawaii but at least they tried.

Knowing what I know now as I write this review, we would return & bring friends here. It's about 78 to 80°F on a Friday a few minutes before 1 pm, surprisingly, it was low key--only a couple tables taken indoors by patrons and a set of guys on the patio. At the door, it said to seat ourselves & I immediately shot to the patio. The set up: once seated, the server comes with menus, you order & it's a sit down meal. Giselle was our friendly & attentive server, young & attentive. Hubby ordered the breakfast burrito ($11.50) & I opted for build your own omelette $11.50 for a 3 egg omelette & choice of two items- mushroom and bell peppers accompanied with breakfast potatoes, and chilaquiles ($13.99) to share. The patio seating is fresh, airy, there are tables, outdoor furnitures (sofas) and bright orange umbrellas for shade. My photos captured these elements. The food arrived shortly, although not all at once. I didn't mind it all because the ambiance was so soothing with the sound of birds chirping away and the background of other patrons talking. The only complaint from Hubby was too many pototo chunks in his burrito. My omelette was hot, fresh ingredients, delectable & the potatoes were mixed with 3 colors of bellpeppers. Oh and the chilaquiles? Pretty darn good! The tortilla chips were crispy, perfect amount of green salsa, freshly diced onions & a sprinkling of cotija cheese. Was I famished or was it that good that I devoured everything? What's left was Hubby's potato chunk discards. Giselle returned a few times to ensure our experience is to our satisfaction & another staff also stopped by to check on us. Such a perfect meal & day-- I'm so happy with this visit. I arrived in Alhambra one Sunday afternoon with the intention to hit 4 food spots to redeem free offers. They are part of the 24 participating restaurants in the food passport. I only got to two places and Popping Yolk Cafe (PYC) was one of them. PYC was number 6th stamp in my food passport! Free parking was easy at the Mosaic Parking Structure (4 hours limit). Very short walk from parking to restaurant. First time at PYC. I was lucky to get here thirty minutes prior to closing time. They specialize in breakfast and brunch only. Their free passport offer is 1 Benedict Entree or 1 French Toast Entree. Dine in only and no substitutions. Thanks PYC! Interior space was quite nice and vibey. Tables were clean. Ambiance was relaxing and cozy. Love the beautiful yellow decor! Plenty of inside seating with no exterior seating. Mia was the young lady staff who welcomed me with a friendly greeting and took my order. She was super nice, patient, and helpful. Other staff members were cordial and attentive. Thanks Mia and All! WOW, what a super amazing free food offer! I didn't hesitate and got the Avocado Benedict. Both eggs were perfectly poached. Avocado was just ripe. Ham slices were thick and tasty. Hollandaise sauce was rich and buttery with a bit of tangy taste. Just one small gripe, the english muffin did not appear to have been toasted. It was tough to cut through. Other than that, it was a fantastic benedict entree for a first timer like myself. I was feeling hungry so I also got an order of Ube French Toast and one Mango Green Tea (refillable). Another WOW, delicious house ube filling in a deep-fried toast topped with semi-sweet coconut flakes and fresh blueberries along with a drizzle of maple syrup and condensed milk. VERY YUMMY! This one is a winner! Mango green tea had deep tropical and tea flavors... nice drink! Menu has a great variety of egg benedicts and crunchy french toasts along with sandwiches, omelettes, burgers, crepes, waffles, pancakes, salad, and snacks. Prices were reasonable for the huge portions. Highly recommend! Love to return to try their other specialty breakfast and brunch items. I just need to get here early.
