Great by the slice pizza shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super clean inside with a good amount of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tried the bruschetta slice for the first time and loved it. Took a visitor from out of town who wanted a pizza fix and this location didn't disappoint.

Just like the other reviews said, solid walk-in slice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Surprisingly good seating and atmosphere for a grab n go pizza place[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and service was fast and friendly. What more could you want!?

Nice, crispy slice! Close to our hotel. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat in the window to people watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Go to place when visiting NYC. Best pizza I have had in a long time. Definitely a traditional New York style pizza!

Another pizza lover and certified foodie pointed in the direction of Marinara Pizza. Of course, I was recommended to try the MVP Sicilian. And tried it, I did! I am not a huge fan of Sicilians so the MVP was already starting off with a significant handicap. I enjoyed it because the 3 sauces on top blended together well on my palate and the crust was thick enough. I also tried their plain slice which was solid as well. Overall, another good pizza experience in NYC. FYI they carry the whole Boylan drink line including their Shirley Temple which an up sell in my opinion. Please note I would disregard any reviews written by non-New Yorkers; you can trust their untrained palate lol!

Pizza was amazing... a little greasy, but sooo tasty. The buffalo chicken was extraordinary. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were tables on the sidewalk which is always a plus for me because I love sitting outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ordered a pie from here wanting to try a new place. The only issue I had was that I thought the pepperonis were too small. The pizza itself was pretty good. Very thin slices with small crusts. I ate three slices and was fine with that. It's your standard NY pizza spot. I've had a few that didn't impress me and this isn't one of them. It's good pizza, not much more I can say other than that.

Solid walk-in slice. Could be a little bit crispier on the crust. The pizza doesn't have a wow factor but good place to stop in, especially if you're working in the area or visiting someone who works there. Not a destination slice.

This establishment consistently delivers high-quality pizza with each visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This pizzeria is simple in design and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]The crust remains soft and the toppings are consistently fresh. The pizzeria tends to be busy during lunch hours, but the efficient staff ensures that service remains timely and smooth.

RATING : 5/10 MVP I've had this spot at their midtown east location and found the MVP way better, even standing out as one of my favorite slices in the city. For some reason, I feel like the crust was thinner and the flavors less bold on this one. Maybe an off day? REGULAR SLICE Not a bad standard slice but nothing to write home about - but definitely NY style. FINAL CATEGORY : OK ( terrible / bad / ok / good / great / excellent)

Edward W.

I dropped by this pizza joint last weekend and got a regular slice of the mushroom and a Sicilian slice of sausage and pepperoni. I liked the Sicilian slice of sausage and pepperoni. It was crispy and thin. However, I thought the sausage was a bit salty. On the other hand, the regular slice of mushroom couldn't retain its shape and was like ripping apart. The flavor was good though.

I usually order from 2nd Avenue location. Parm arrived both cold AND overcooked/microwaved. The chicken and cheese are hard and rubbery. Never again.

MVP Cauliflower slice. *Chef's kiss!*
Vanessa G.

Never EVER disappoints! The MVP cauliflower slice is the absolute best slice to grab on the go! So yummy and pops with flavor! The staff is always friendly and they always serve you up with a smile. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is always immaculately clean, orderly and stocked well with beverages of choice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Born and raised New Yorker here verifying the deliciousness of Marinara pizza!

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

We started with two fabulous drinks: An Espresso Martini and their signature Limoncello Margarita. We shared the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad and it was fabulous. The bits of bacon, combined with the spiciness of the pepper spices, made this a perfect starter. The entree was also shared and it was the Spicoli 2.0 Pizza. I cannot recommend this pie, enough. You will taste flavors that you've probably never experienced before with a pizza. Also, the different textures of the arugula, creaminess of the cheese, and the perfect crust will make it a memorable selection. For dessert, we shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. Each spoonful of those strawberries, dancing with the firm custard and glaze, made this a stupendous cap to the meal.

Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
