Honestly if I could take out the star, I won't give this dealership any at all. Just want to share our experience today at Mark Christopher GMC. So a day prior to visiting, I spoke with one of the sales agent MOE regarding their lease offers for the 2018 GMC Terrain, having previously visited them a few weeks prior, i already studied everything and know the deal that I want and WE AGREED on the monthly payment (tax included) and money out of the pocket for the drive off. I even have the text message from him confirming everything. Now the reason why I negotiated all of this by phone was because we are based in Fresno and our trips back to LA were basically in & out so we don't really have the time to drop by the dealership anymore so it would be my Mom who lives in LA that would acquire the deal and Moe knows this. Having confirmed everything is in order, I asked my Mom to go the following day knowing it would be just the formality of signing the necessary paper works and driving off with the lease. Low and behold as soon as my mom got there, Moe had her sitting for almost an hour doing nothing and coming back with the words "I made a mistake". Turns out, the supposedly monthly payment amount (tax included) we agreed on is not tax included and we have to pay $25 to $30 more. Funny thing was a few hours before my mom got there, I gave Moe another call confirming the figures AGAIN just to be sure and he AGAIN confirmed everything is in place and just waiting for mom to come in. Now I don't know if this is just an honest mistake or a tactic they use to suck more money out of customers, but it certainly feels like it was planned right from the get go. Had it been a different situation like if I was a walk in customer and he made that "mistake" right there and there I could probably accept it, but to have a whole day of going over the figures back and forth and still not getting it right is unacceptable. Very unprofessional, for someone as big of a dealership Mark Christopher is, I would expect more. Don't give out offers you can't deliver, and don't expect for all the customers to accept apology and pay for your so called "mistakes" cause it's just BAD business. read more

11/13/2017 I decided to give this place a second chance. I brought in my truck again for service. I was "helped" by Ricky. Right from the beginning just very rude. I understand I am a woman bringing in a silverado truck, but that doesn't give you the right to treat me like I don't understand a thing about my truck. Over the phone he didn't even explain what type of service my truck needed nor what it meant. When I came to pick it up I had to go to his desk and ask for an explanation. Then he stops me mid sentence and has the audacity to answer his phone. I would have thought that after the fiasco last year they would have been more courteous. Did I mention that last year they scratched half of my tailgate and I had to leave my truck in their body shop for over a week? And even despite that I still had given them a second chance. But this was the last time. I even left a message for their manager Jeff but to no avail. So disappointed in their level of service. I bought my truck when I was in law school and the sales department is great, my family has since purchased 4 other vehicles but their service department is not. 9/16/2016 After having a pretty bad experience with Javier, Jeff contacted me here on Yelp and offered to make it right. He was great! He made sure my truck was serviced and taken care of. I was looking for a full size truck and to trade in my Malibu. Had a chevy for 10 years and loved it. Rotolo in fontana had bad customer service so decided to try here instead. Right away the salesman, Alex Sarabia, asked me what I was looking for, what I specifically wanted and what I didn't care so much about. He came back a few min later with exactly the truck I was looking for down to the color. He was very nice and really seemed to listen to what I wanted. I wish I could give 0 stars. I just went to MK Smith and had my car fixed the right way and spent only $200 instead of $1200. They over charge here. I wrote them my experience and never heard back so here is my reply to Dino: Hi Dino, I actually had a very unsatisfactory visit, and will not return. Here is what happened: On Friday, September 15 I left work early from LA and my check engine light turned on. I have just moved back from Fresno to Ontario, and I bought my car at Mark Christopher thinking I should get my car serviced there since I am now back in the area. I called immediately and Juan said I can drop my car off and they can discover what the issue is. Dropped off my car, and Juan was nice. Saturday came and I had to call Juan since I hadn't heard anything. he told me it would cost 1500 total for everything. I don't have that much, so he said he would work on the price and call me back. I call back 2 hours later. Juan states he tried calling me but my number was wrong, he repeated my number back and it was the right number, but now it is later in the day so they will get to my vehicle as soon as they can. He did bring the cost to about $1,270. I asked if there is a loaner car I could use, but there isn't one, but he promised my car to be ready before noon on Monday. I am a producer in LA, and the show I do is live at 4pm, so I explain that I need to know that my car will for sure be ready before noon otherwise I need to let my boss know so someone can cover for me until I'm in. He promises. Monday comes and I call at 9 am. I am told by a service person that my car won't be ready until 1 or 2. I am upset and ask to speak to Juan. He then says he's sorry, but it will take longer. I begin to cry thinking I was promised something that isn't going to happen and I wish I could have told my boss so I could go to work. He then states he will give me a loaner car and to come now. I go down and get my loaner car. Tuesday I go to pick up my vehicle at about 10 am. I return the loaner and then my car comes out to a crack crossing the middle of my windshield which was not there prior to me bringing my vehicle on Friday. I tell the porter my car did not have a crack across my windshield. Juan comes out and I refuse to get in my car since it was not this way when I left it. He states he doesn't know if it was there and does not believe me. Next he calls his manager and states that I'm saying it wasn't there. His manager comes, and I explain to him my experience. He asks for my information and tells me the car part wasn't in that I needed so that's why my car wasn't worked on right away (I did not know that) and he also said he has to do an investigation to see if my vehicle did have a crack across the windshield or not. we go out side to where my car is, he examines my car and I ask when my car was worked on, and he doesn't know. I then ask where are the cars kept? He states they are moved from one place to an outside place where the vehicle can be left among the elements and his car porters are young and not the best at being responsible which I say, "that sounds like a poor hiring decision, and if they are that way then it could have been one of them driving my car and a rock hit it and cracked my windshield and I could have kept my car over the weekend if it wasn't being worked on until Monday and I could have brought it back." Also my vehicle is always in a garage either at my work or my home when it is not moving. The manager decides to let me drive my car and I state I do not feel safe driving my car with a crack across where I can get pulled over for my view not being clear. I get in my car and then find a tool left in my cup holder, and Juan quickly comes out to get it. I then leave feeling unsafe, like I'm a liar, and an unsatisfied. The manager calls and states because of the glare and the camera angle he can't tell but decides to believe me and will take care of my car the next day by safelight. Saturday my car was finally fixed. I am left with feeling that Mark Christopher does not care about its customers. I feel Mark Christopher fails at believing it's customers, does not let them feel safe by allowing me to drive my car from Tuesday to Friday with a crack across running the risk of me getting pulled over, and doesn't fulfill on the promises made. My first time being serviced by Mark Christopher was unsatisfactory and I will not return. I told my husband to buy his vehicle somewhere else, which he did at MK Smith in Chino. He bought a Chevy Cruz and will now get it serviced there and so will I since I feel they will believe me, make me feel safe, and welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read this. read more

Dealer had my truck there for 3 days and the service manager didn't want to fix my truck. He claimed that my truck had after market programming, when they have been the only ones that have ever worked on my truck. I found that to be some bull s**t. My experience with sales and finance was wonderful. But my experience with service has not been. First encounter; we bought a certified pre-owned '15 Acadia and we bought a new gear shifter, to be replaced, for cosmetic purposes. When we arrived home we noticed a 1 inch black ink mark on the light gray leather of the driver door. Then, our second encounter; I had a problem exactly at 6 weeks of owning the car, with a sensor. Apparently a rodent got into the engine compartment and chewed away all the foam lining, and 3 wires of the sensor, causing it needing to be replaced. Well, the part itself cost only $40, however, the labor charge was $636! So our total was $676. We asked how the labor was calculated and the answer doesn't seem fair. Not only that, we would hope that since we so recently bought a certified pre-owned car, there would be a hefty discount on the labor. To add insult again? Got home, and noticed a big blue ink mark across my BRAND NEW gear shifter, and another blue ink mark on the passanger side head rest!! Not happy!!! read more

WORST SERVICE EVER @ The Mark Christopher CHEVY. Prior to my visit I called and made an appointment for an Oil Change & Tire Rotation for Saturday at 11AM and I spoke to SAM ACEVES. Saturday came and I showed up at 10:40 hoping it wouldn't be busy. Pulled up to the service lane and got greet by none other than SAM ACEVES himself. He asks what service I needed today, I mentioned I called and made an appointment for Saturday at 11am. He responded by with " We do not book appointment on Saturday it's first come first served based " ( why he didn't tell me that over the phone ? I have no clue ) so I told him my name as he asked , he said " we don't have you in our system ". Well of course you wouldn't. I'm a new customer, I made an appointment. Anyway .. so they took the car to the back. Before going to the lounge area I asked SAM how long it will take. He said up to AN HR & a HALF to 2 HRS max. I said ok and did a little walking around the area. 2hrs pass and it is a little over 1PM, car is not done. Cool whatever, 3HRS roll around car is not done. Mind you that SAM said 2hrs max. And my car was next in line. So it's already 3:30PM and I'm getting impatient because I had errands. This took 4 hours .. 4 hours ?!? I killed half my day for an oil change and tire rotation ?! So after 4 long wasted hours we got our car, as we drove off the dashboard sensor was glitching. Didn't bother to get it check the same day because I have urgent errands to do. Call back and told them what happened that day. A lady pick up and told us swing by and they will have it check. That next Saturday we came the earliest around 8am to get a check. When we told her what happened and she blamed us and Chevy had nothing to do with the fuse. Well at this moment I'm pissed and I demanded a managed on duty and told him what happened. Little did I know they don't have the parts in stock. They would drive to a sister location and grab one. This took roughly 2.5HR when they did it will be an HR. This has to be the worst customer service ever. NEVER going back & I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'm attaching photos of the " Sale Sevice Dept " on their work computer watching YouTube racing and playing on their cellphone instead of checking for customers car to see if it has been done. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience at Mark Christopher Auto Center!!! I had been interested in the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe for quite some time. Over the last year and a half, I have gone to at least five dealerships in the area to get an idea of the kinds of deals I can expect at different times of the year (tedious, but worth it). My experience at various dealerships have ranged from below average to excellent. The excellent would be Mark Christopher! After building my desired vehicle on Cadillac dot com, I found my vehicle at a couple of dealerships, but Mark Christopher was the only one with an online agent that would set you up with an appointment with a salesman. When I arrived, the gentleman I was supposed to meet with was not there, but another gentleman Gerald Waters was. He was respectful and personable from the beginning. after speaking with him for a bit, I think he could sense how serious I was about the V, and allowed me to take it for a test drive. [Another local dealership apparently has a no test drive policy for anyone that doesn't fit a certain "demographic" as two different salesman at Marti... (oops) exclaimed] I informed him that I would be ready to purchase in November and we would talk more about my options at that time. he set me up with a quote for my vehicle and sent me on my way. During the next month, Mr. Waters followed up with me, but didn't hassle me the way many car salesmen can. When it was time for me to make the purchase, he went over my options with me, and informed me about the excellent Black Friday deals , and I took advantage. I am now the happy owner of a 2014 Cadillac CTS-V coupe. I WILL be returning to Mark Christopher Auto Center next year to purchase a 2015 Cadillac SRX for my wife, but only if Gerald is my salesman. If anyone out there wants to purchase a car, not get taken advantage of or be mistreated, then go to Mark Christopher and ask for Gerald! read more

I told him, "No, I'm just looking for the 2017 Cruz you have advertised for $13,000. He asked me where was my car. I proceeded walking to 6 more cars telling him again WHY I was there. He told me the Cruz was last week and this week it's the Malibu that's advertised. He mentioned (with a motion) "the 2017 Cruze's are in the far back corner". I arrived at 9:15 to check in for simple service appointment. My estimated time for waiting was 2 hours; then it was 5 hours later I still didn't have my car. The staff are very polite and seemed to be efficient, but I felt like I fell through the crack of efficient operating procedures. After 3.5 hours of waiting I did check with my service advisor, and because there was a recall on the transmission but no service tech to service it - the car was parked and that was it until the service manager tracked it down and then the service began for real at 1:00 PM. If you have a customer waiting, and it seems like they have been there TOO LONG, someone should be asking questions. As a member of the GM family, this was definitely a FAIL performance today, and it will be acknowledged with the parent company. read more

I have bought 2 cars from this dealership and I have been pleased each time... The first time the salesman was nice as was everyone else... The second time I traded in the vehicle I previously bought from them for a newer model and I was even more pleased I worked the heck out of my salesman and he just smiled the whole time! Dealt with Tony C, who I spoke to on the phone before coming down, told him I know exactly what I wanted and didn't want to haggle, just give me the best price and deal is done and that is exactly what they did, no games whatsoever and drove off within a few hours (and with a heck of a deal!). Second truck I bought here in the last 3 years and best treatment I have ever gotten. I would not recommend this shop took my truck in for a REGULAR OIL CHANGE with an APPOINTMENT. It took 2 hours and 50 minutes. When I asked why give appointments out if they don't honor them they said it's more like to speak to a service tech and I asked that if I drove up with out an appointment would I not have been able to speak to a tech they said that I still would have been able too so again why an appointment. 3 hour wait on a regular maintenance job. Then they offer a free coffee gift card if you do a review so I inquired about it and they said that I would only receive the gift if o give a positive review. RIDICULOUS read more

I don't usually write negative reviews about anyone however this dealership has left me with a vehicle that was supposed to be repaired for P0171 that's the diagnostic # apparently GM has this problem on their Chevy Cruze quite often as I found several youtube videos and complaints about it on the internet. My issue however is my engine light is still on when I picked it up as well as my T/C light that has nothing to do with it with but was also on when I took it in and you would think after paying over $1400 in repairs it would be resolved. Took my new Cadillac in for service, as well as to fix a fly found buried in the paint on the roof of the car. Was sent to Caliber to repair paint. Came back and saw a magnetic sticker had been stolen from the paint shop (as confirmed with the Cadillac security cameras), so now my new Cad had the stock color on the body, and a different color on the roof. I then discovered Caliber dropped a lid of paint silver paint on a white hood) so Caliber took the car back and attempted to buff out the silver paint. Well, they were successful, but now you could see the primer through the white paint. Well, back to Caliber to now get the hood repainted with yet a different shade of white on my hood. So there I was, with a $55,000 car with 3200 miles, with 3 different colors of paint on my new car. I filed complaints with the general manager as well as Cadillac of North America, but it has fallen on deaf ears. read more

Juan Fletes, Mark Christopher's Service Advisor is a wonderful Blessing! He goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. He makes you feel like family and keeps me updated with the progress of my vehicle whether it is merely getting an oil and lube or major service work on my GMC Yukon Denali. Having 2 Boys in College makes finances a little tight at times. But when dealing with Juan, he goes out of his way to find discounts pertaining to my service and exceeds my expectations of customer service. I have never waited so long in my entire life for basic service. I had a 10 o clock appt, waited in line and had to fuss to be acknowledged that i was in line while cars behind me are being helped. I waited here for 6 hours for a damn oil change and tire rotation and to check my brakes. Wtf and never again. People that came after me left way before me. At one point I was the only one here, waiting. I am new in town and really dont appreciate this type service. Finally I was told my truck was ready and to wait out front, 108 degree weather I might add. Only to learn my truck was not ready and it will be another 20 mins. Why am I not surprised!!!! I recently purchased a pre-owned 2014 Chevy Cruz and had a good experience with my purchase. For that reason, I have sent 2 friends to Mark Christopher, one who purchased a brand new Chevy Camero last month. As for service, I am DISAPPOINTED. I was greeted quickly as I pulled in, and was happy to see them quickly take my car for an oil change. I then waited over 3 hours for my car to finish, in which I was given no updates during the wait. I saw many people come and go, finally I went outside after 2hours and 40 minutes of waiting! This was on a Tuesday, just after 1pm so there was only 2 other people there when I arrived. Also, I bought the car with what they said were "good brakes" but have been dealing with horrible scraping/squeaking brakes that also shake when I stop from over 50 mph. I purchased a bumper to bumper additional warranty, so I expected a little help the first time I brought this problem to their attention only 1 week after owning the car. Within less than the first month, I brought it back and they said everything "looked okay". Since then, they have gotten worse. Now Mark Christopher wants to charge me over $200 to have my rotors "machines" or they will replace the fronts for close to $400. This problem should have been handled the first time. They should not have put me in a car that was having this issue and gave me no help. I am happy with my purchase but disappointed with the fact that MC is living up to the typical "car dealer" stereotype with their promises and services. _____________ Update: now it's August and yet MORE ISSUES with my car.
