Modest BUT EXCELLENT restaurant! I am super picky about good and healthy food, and let's be honest, if you want wholesome and tasty food in LA, you'll either need to spend way more than you'd like or cook it yourself... Thankfully, I discovered this restaurant that serves Organic chicken, delicious salads, and french fries for half the price compared to any other decent restaurant... Unbelievable quality, cleanliness, and taste for this price range... Kudos! Oh, and I see a few bad reviews on here related mainly to logistics... so I wanted to comment on this: it is a matter of perspective... if you walk in with high American expectations/standards about service/delivery, perfect English, perfect menu description, up to date website...blablabla, then you might miss the good part... But if you walk in with an open mind and get that nice old-school Cantina Mexican/old-LA vibe, then you might be able to see what many of us see in this place ;) But that is just my subjective experience, and since I live nearby, I always pick up my food hot, so I cannot attest to delivery; I should try it. read more

I'm updating my review because I came back! so the soup is perfectly cooked and every aspect of the soup was just great. this little whole in the wall is such a great spot I'll definitely be back to try the menu! - I brought my roommates and we all got the lunch box with one agua Fresca. the meat was honestly so juicy and great with the sauce. the salad was also delicious with the corn and it worked so well. the fries are also perfectly crispy. love this little spot! read more

Totem is a tiny shop on Beverly Blvd. that is producing some of the best rotisserie chicken in Los Angeles. Their side dishes are very good too including their fries and little gem salad. Some may ball at the price -$38 for a whole chicken and 2 sides - but you do get what you pay for. Delicious, nothing went to waste and highly recommended. read more

My GF and I tried their food tonight and I could not wait to write this 5 star review for them. The guy felt bad that we had to wait 20 mins for our chicken, that he put our chicken soup on the house! First, 20 mins wait is nothing in LA. Next, even if it was, that's just an awesome thing to do. And the food blew us both away. I couldn't stop eating the soup. The flavor, chicken texture, everything in that freakin soup was PERFECT. Today I was walking by and saw this new chicken place. I used to stop by this location quire regularly, when it was a pizza joint, so I was intrigued. Well, $13 for reheated and bland tasting leg and thigh, that's what I saw. Compare this tiny chicken portion to California Chicken Cafe chicken. Chicken there is always freshly made and delicious, the portion is larger- 2 legs and a thigh, that also includes two tortillas and salsa, all for $6.25. Sorry, it makes no sense whatsoever. Chicken cooked perfectly on a weds at 4pm. Sides were generous portions, seasoned well and fresh. Fries were really really good. Both sauces were adequate portions and the super friendly young lady at the register was very welcoming and engaging. Thanks for the warning that the sauce is hot, it's hot! Over priced and I paid for a wing and Brest meal. They cut the breast in half. And gave me one half. I was mortified. I called back and they told me "that's how it is". Nothing on the menu says that. Perfect addition to the neighborhood. Ordered a whole chicken, large salad and small fries for delivery and it was all great. The fries are crispy, the soup will heal your cold/hangover, the salads are simple and great and most importantly the chicken is perfect. Delicious chicken, salad, and fries. I was walking home from Pan Pacific Park one afternoon around 3pm and saw this unassuming spot and decided to check it out. I was greeted when I walked in by the kind cashier, but then left unbothered while I looked around and read the menu. The smell of chicken made me decide to order, and the selection was easy bc it's just chicken, all you gotta decide is how much and which parts. I got the lunchbox which is a quality meal of 2pc light or dark meat, yummy salad, and fries. I also got the watermelon agua fresa-perfect to sip on my walk home. It was ready in minutes, just enough time for me to sit down, write and send a text. There are no tables inside, not sure what seating options will be when pandemic conditions are different.
