I was meeting friends who were staying by the airport for an early flight the following day. I had no idea of any of the restaurants in the area, so Google helped me. Marlow's had good reviews, so I booked there. I was a bit surprised it was nestled between a Massage Envy and another store, and from the outside, thought I'd made a mistake. However, inside it was a comfortable tavern. Our waitress was a petite young girl with lots of head jewelry, and was very sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. This was a first time visit for me. I chose this location because it was on my way home but also near the hotel my cousin was staying at. Tucked into a strip shopping area there is ample parking and either inside or outside seating is available. We were greeted and sat right away, all staff were super friendly and seemed happy to have us. The dining area was clean and the volume level just right. Food was excellent, as a starter we ordered Firecracker shrimp which was tasty with a light bite, we were also able to try the Kettle Chips which had a great flavor especially with the Gorgonzola. I had the Black and Blue burger, I do love my burger medium rare and asked if I needed to order a little more done in order to get the temp I wanted which the server said I should so I ordered it medium but it was still a bit more rare than I expected. My cousin had the Fish Tacos and was very happy with them. It's a small restaurant so I imagine it just get pretty busy on weekends but when I went on a weekday evening it was very peaceful and the staff was friendly and attentive. Food was made fresh so it took 30 some minutes but tasted great. The black and blue burger was 9/10 I would highly recommend you order this if you like burgers. Got the french dip Solid, nice soft bread good for dipping. They also could have given twice as much au jus though. Fries were RIDICULOUS. Solid Old Fashion as well. Reservations were easy to make online and there is fairly large capacity. The service was friendly and present. The menu is centrist, basically a little bit of everything and nothing too "weird," "ethnic," or offensive. It's standard fare with a little flair. Execution was all right, also middle of the road. Portions were small, I guess shrinkflation gets to us all. A lot of focus on presentation, which was pleasing. We got the Beet Tartare (inventive), Asparagus Fries (greasy), Ahi Tuna Poke (fishy, not that fresh). I split a Crispy Grouper Sandwich with a friend and the server very nicely offered to have the plate split in the back for us (very considerate!). It was a very nicely fried and seasoned piece of fish, and the jicama slaw (slightly tangy) went well. The fries are somewhat limp and underdone and I was really looking forward to some indulgence with hot and crispy fries, but was a little disappointed. They are nicely cut and skin on though. If you need to pick a convenient, spacious, generally widely acceptable place for a varied group on the way to or from the airport, this location would suffice. read more

After a long flight from California, my husband and I stopped by this restaurant for an early dinner. The hostess seated us on the patio, and our waitress promptly took our order. My husband and I both ordered the Royale burger, which was juicy and tasty - full of flavor. I wish it had something green in it (lettuce, spinach, or kale), but I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. The chef brought us complimentary chips, which were crunchy and flavorful. Dinner was delicious, although I have to admit the highlight of the night was the kindness and friendliness of the waitress, chef, and manager. My husband and I were exhausted, and it was so nice to be around such friendly people. Even the waiters from our surrounding tables seemed joyful even though I'm sure their job isn't easy with the pandemic. Sadly, my friend and I were never greeted by a server after being seated. We even had time to have a full on conversation about whether or not we should leave(?!) during which time we watched as table by table were being greeted/helped by various servers around us! We had no choice but to leave. Not sure what happened here folks!? But when you are being flat out ignored, all sorts of things begin to come to mind (!) I came here PRIMARILY for its positive reviews on Yelp: but I must declare that they dropped the ball in a pretty huge way. Never knowing what kind of service you will receive can be certainly stressful when eating out. Don't always believe what you read about a place. We have been fans of Marlow's Tavern for several years but this visit was exceptional! Our server, Connor, was absolutely delightful! He has a great personality and made excellent recommendations from the wines to the coffee butter cake for dessert! The Classic Tavern Burger is my favorite and is the best burger in Orlando. We also shared the truffle parmesan fries, fried okra, and asparagus fries which were all delicious, especially with the citrus aioli for dipping. But to top it off, the staff were all so friendly and accommodating as well. From the hostess, Rebecca, to the managers, Jackie and Elese, and the chef, Donell, who all stopped by to check on us, it was an amazing experience! On a previous occasion, we had the pleasure of talking with Jason, the General Manager, who made sure we had a great experience as well. We also learned from Elese that Marlow's provides catering services which includes a broad selection of their best menu items. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by Taylor. She introduced herself and even asked our names. I don't particularly care for that kinda thing but it IS personable. I'm just not a personable person, personally speaking. So the Queen Bee did all the nicey-nices and I just sat there as I often do. So we began with a nice draft Yuengling or three. 4-7 happy hour for domestic drafts is $3! As for an appetizer, we chose (Taylor-recommended) shrimp and crab "nachos." Loaded grilled tortilla triangles with shrimp, crab, cheese and jalapeños. Wow, those suckers were good. For $11 they dang well better be but indeed met my expectations and beyond. As for entrees, then...grouper risotto special for her. One of the other folks sitting at the bar raved about it and recommended it above the fish tacos, which was her other entree possibility. Nikki (Taylor's colleague) also said that it isn't a common special whereas fish tacos are a regular menu item. Queen Bee raved about it and when she offered me a bite, I could see why. Arborio rice nicely cooked and the grouper was poached just right. Lovely sauce underneath was delightful. I was hoping there'd be a bigger portion for $22 friggin' dollars! You'd think that a special would include a special price. Not here though! I meantime had the supreme burger, which is wagyu beef on a buttered brioche bun with cheddar and typical though fresh. burger fixings. I asked for medium and my side was their fresh cut fries done crisp with absolutely no seasoning. Burger was done a bit more well done than I'd like but still passable. I really didn't notice much of an improvement in the meat as opposed to a good hamburger blend. Extra $5 was definitely NOT WORTH my trouble. Fries were nice, crisp and naked as I asked. The disappointing so-called wagyu beef was the big reason this joint will NOT get five stars from ME. By the time we left, the joint was fairly well crowded and noisy. At least Taylor and Nikki were decent hostesses. Meantime the food was certainly nice for the most part. Again: I felt like I was gypped with that overdone so-called wagyu burger. That left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Next time l will definitely know better. read more

We've been pretty frequent customers at this particular location, every time any of the relatives or friends would be leaving from the airport, we are dining at the place. Last few months, I believe they had some managerial change or something like that as we were told after the first mishap they had, the place became a mess; the orders are not placed correctly, the food is not done properly, we get informed they don't have the particular food we've ordered good 20 minutes after the order. We've been very patient and waiting on the improvement but at no avail. Unfortunately, we won't be back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

Passing thru Orlando on our way home, grabbed dinner at Marlow's. The traditional tavern atmosphere had dimmed ambience, dark wood tables and nice spot for quality food, lots of meats but also seafood options. Nearby to airport hotels, has a full bar, lots of craft brews and lots of group size tables and friendly service staff. Burgers and sandwiches range from $10-15, entrees around ~$20+. And they're open quite late if stopping in for late dinner or a nightcap. Their appetizers were plenty to share, and very tasty. We tried the firecracker shrimp, large bowl of fried shrimp in a spicy chili hot sauce. The buffalo wings were meaty and tender, with enough buffalo sauce for a decent kick. The Tuna poke was my favorite of the apps, tender raw tuna cubes mixed with ripened avocado, and with an Asian flair sauce and crisp wonton chips - I'd reorder! Dinner for most in the group tonight was the filet, but I opted to try the Black and Bleu Steak Salad. Each Steak was cooked to order, and tasty; mashed potatoes came with the steak, but after trying their hand cut fries (awesome), I'd definitely substitute for mashed. I couldn't help but order a side of fries with my salad, they came right out of the fryer in a large basket, salted just right since I asked to skip the normal seasonings. The creamy Gorgonzola dressing on my salad was a bit overdressed, yet still tasty with the fresh tomato wedges and tenderloin steak slices. With side order of fries dipped in ketchup, ranch or the creamy Gorgonzola, my meal was complete. Found this spot on the way out of the airport. Customer service was amazing, our server answered all of our questions and explained the menu very throughly. All of the food was on point. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. The firecracker shrimp was so good and crispy. The filet mignon was two 4oz filets and were cooked to my liking. The menu was a tad misleading because I thought it would be served with mashed potatoes not sliced, but they were still good. I would deff stop here again. They're drinks were really good too! Marlow's Tavern is one of my favorite local establishments. The atmosphere is relaxed yet upscale. There is ample space for maneuverability in my wheelchair, and the staff is always helpful in ensuring my comfort. They have an amazing selection of food, and one of my favorites is the fried grits cake and the steak. They also make fantastic cocktails and have their own specialty drinks that are amazing. If you're looking for a nice place to have a family dinner or a date night, this is the spot. We highly recommend it and return quite often. read more

I went to Marlow's Tavern in November for Sunday brunch with two friends. We sat outdoors and the outdoor area was nicely set up, spacing between the tables which made us feel comfortable. Our server wore their mask correctly over their face and nose (mentioning since that's not always the case depending where you go). I ordered the infamous fish tacos with fruit salad. Let me tell you a bit about this place! A group of us (about 6) stoped here before getting to the airport. We were all hungry and ready for some good food. A friend in the group recommend for us to stop there. I'm soo soo glad we did... We went in and they immediately sat is down, the person who faces us the table immediately asked us what we wanted to drink and brought us the menu. Really nice service I might add. We all order something different, I order the fish tacos, my boyfriend order the black and blue burger, an my other friend order the poke bowl. I didn't try the food from the others so I can speak to that as much ( they seemed to enjoy it tho). All of the plates I mentioned were so good, and the perfect amount to. Not so much, not so little.
