PARKING: It's cheaper to use valet than to park in the garage. If you use the public parking garage, you are charged the duration of your stay. If you valet, it's complimentary (just tip). Also, if you have a large vehicle, it's harder to find a spot in the public garage because the spaces are tiny. Service is great. Everyone is friendly from start to finish. On the last two occasions during a holiday (i.e., Mother's Day) someone came around with complimentary cookies or bread/cheese. Atmosphere is pleasant. We went during an occasion, such as Mother's Day, and they had live piano music in the back which was nice. Plenty of windows for natural sunlight where we sat. The menu is interesting the first time but unfortunately felt dull the second time around. It'll be great to see more seasonal items new things on the menu. Overall though, the food is good - I recommend trying.
Great happy hour location any day, they only seat in the covered patio or bar area so it is limited. The service and dining experience was great, informative and friendly server. The food came out fairly fast, we did however have an issue with the lamb chops, they were overly cooked and we requested for medium. The server gladly had our dish replaced, and it was much better. Very tender and juicy! The other happy hour items were as to be expected, just sub par. The highlight was the meat balls and the beet carpaccio, they were delicious and tasty. Definitely a unique dish!
***Beets Capaccio A very Innovative way to eat a salad. Underneath the delicate layer of beets is actually a green salad mixed tossed with chunks of golden beets! The dressing was of a light vinaigrette. The toasted walnuts added a nice crunch and much appreciated rich texture to the salad. *** Tuscan Fried Chicken Kind of a let down, disappointment. The newspaper decorative element was interesting but the chicken itself felt very underwhelming. Too thick of batter. Serving size was not favorable. ***Lamb chop Initially the lamb was well done. I had to send it back for it to be cooked to medium ring. Flavor-wise was excellent. Although I would not order a chop of this size again. This is mainly just for taste testing. ***Polpette Classic two meatballs with a slice of bread. Nothing remarkable at all. ***Veal Bolognese Honestly couldn't tell the difference if this was ground beef had the menu not set otherwise. But there was very little bits of meat mixed with the pasta. ***White Fish Rillettes Very much reminded me of eating canned tuna with toasted lays. The only thing that elevated this dish was the caviar and even then, it wasn't that amazing. Flavor was kind of lackluster, felt like it came from a can. ***Raw Oysters This was arguably my favorite item off the menu for this instance. That was yours tasted very fresh and the cocktail sauce appears to be made in house and has a nice citrus undertone that pairs really well with the raw oysters. Overall I probably won't return unless they're menu changes. I think the vibe was elevated in the plating was also elevated. But the food just did not seem to bring home the same sentiment. Service and staff was really nice. Our server quickly rectified the situation with the lamb chops being overly cooked.
As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed and I could tell the service would be top tier. I went here to try their Houston restaurant week and it did not disappoint. The steak was juicy and had a rich buttery flavor with a perfect balance of salt. The atmosphere was nice. It's a bit upscale and more elevated than a casual place. There was no dress code. I did park in the garage which costed about $5. Valet around there is $10.
Been here a couple times and finally writing a review. Will continue to come back! Great service, great food my favorite pasta is the Rigatoni à la vodka. Marmo has one of the best happy hour menu's!! Happy hour 3-6pm Single serving pastas starting at $5! Great environment with indoor and big outdoor seating available, very classy and clean. What I ordered: Blue crab bruschetta Tuscan fried chicken Veal Bolognese Rigatoni à la Vodka Cacio e Pepe (only offered on happy hour) Chicken Parmesan Dirty martini Wine
Came here the other day for HRW which they had good options. It was my second time here but both times the pasta has been incredible. From the HRW menu we had the hamachi, skirt steak, and tiramisu. The hamachi (crudo) tasted very fresh and the garnishes they add goes very well with it, just kinda crazy how that appetizer is already $20 for regular pricing. The skirt steak turned out much better than I expected. For medium rare it was still so tender, juicy, and the roasted garlic elevated the flavor, I'd highly recommend it. Overall very well seasoned. Side note it's 8oz which on the HRW menu is the same as the regular menu. We added on the Squid Ink Campanelle which I've heard is really good and a must-try. It's very rich in flavor and the squid ink doesn't taste earthy or anything. If I remember correctly our server said it was mostly for color. Needless to say I'd highly recommend this as well, probably one of the more unique pasta dishes I've had. Service was great, they take your used plates promptly and give you fresh clean ones. Our server was friendly and was able to explain how the HRW menu worked so we appreciated that. Though the menu is a little pricey, I'd still come back to try their other dishes in the future!
I made a reservation at Marmo for a party of seven at 8:45 PM, but we weren't seated until 8:59 PM. Not a big deal on its own, but the experience went downhill from there. We ordered everything at once, and our server mentioned bread would come with a mascarpone spread. The bread arrived, but the spread never did. The wait for food was very long--by 9:37 PM, we still hadn't received appetizers. When the food finally came, everything (apps and entrées) arrived at the same time. There were also several order issues. My friend ordered a piccolo squid ink pasta but was given a larger (and more expensive) grande. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out rare. When I asked, the server initially insisted I ordered medium rare in a rude tone, then later admitted I was right and took it back. It came back overcooked and burnt--unacceptable for an $88 steak. The rest of the food didn't make up for it. My pasta was overcooked and falling apart, and the sides were room temperature and overly salty. To top it off, there was a "facilities fee" added to the bill that was never disclosed anywhere, which felt misleading. The ambiance was nice, but it was so loud. Overall, between the long wait, poor service, incorrect orders, and disappointing food, the experience was not worth it. I wouldn't return.
Ladies Night Out at Marmo was definitely one for the books! The vibes were immaculate--drinks flowing, laughter nonstop, and just an overall good time with the girls. What we tried: * Caesar salad - fresh, light, and a solid starter * Bolognese - rich, hearty, and comforting * Chicken parmigiana - cheesy, saucy, classic done right * Crawfish risotto - not quite the hit we expected, a little underwhelming * Gulf red snapper - THE STAR OF THE SHOW! Let's talk about that snapper...baby, it was divine! Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and sitting in that creamy sauce like it knew it was the moment. Easily the standout dish of the night. Overall, Marmo delivered on flavor, ambiance, and experience. Even with the risotto missing the mark a bit, everything else more than made up for it. Final: Great food, great energy, and a perfect spot for a girls' night or date night. I'll definitely be back!

Wow wow wow. This is a must try restaurant in Houston. Here are some details about the experience. The boundaries of Italian definitely are expanded by this spot! Our server Fernando was kind and informative about the menu items; including being attentive to our small party Atmosphere: Enjoyed a beautiful early spring dinner on the patio. Blending some people watching with great weather. Food: Delicious, creative and a party for the taste buds. Nice pre-course bread and cheese. Some seafood items, some traditional items and a few twists on before seen dishes (specifically regarding the apps) Service was good, but I was just a little thrown off by the mandatory 20% gratuity for our party of five. (Slight drop in the score) Good experience and all things considered, I would go again.
The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous -- such a vibe, period. The ambiance alone makes it worth visiting. Unfortunately, the noise level was a bit too much. In hindsight, we probably should have sat outside so we could actually have a conversation without yelling. That part was disappointing. It also took a little while for our waiter to come to the table, which wasn't ideal. I ordered the quail tortellini, and while it was very tasty, the portion was ridiculously small for the price. The menu overall was good, though. The appetizers were good, and dessert did not disappoint either. Overall, I think they could improve the menu and portion sizes for certain dishes. That said, the ambiance is definitely the highlight for me. I would probably go back for a couple of drinks and an appetizer just to enjoy the vibe again.
I came here during happy hour, and I want to give this place four stars for the excellent ambience and service. Food on the other hand was pretty mediocre. Parking is also quite difficult so make sure to do valet or park a little farther away on the street. Polpettes: excellent deal, but it is way too salty. Each bite was a sodium bomb. Beef tartare: I definitely thought the tartare would be a pile of minced meat, not a sandwich. I think the description was off because it also said that it served with focaccia and the bread we got definitely was not focaccia. The beef tartare was a miss for me. Bolognese: the Bolognese was also way too salty. This disappoints me because everything else about the dish was good. The texture, the flavor all good but insanely salty. Cacio e Pepe: this dish came out towards the end so I thought our waitress forgot about it. Luckily we did follow up and it came and I'm so glad I tried it because it was the best dish out of all of these dishes. Also one of the best cacio w pepes I have had..
Upscale Italian food with limited vegetarian options. I visited with a group of friends and tried two appetizers (Caesar salad and burrata) and had the eggplant parm. Eggplant parm was unique and tasty. It comes as a stacked square shape with layers of eggplant and a breaded crispy layer on top. I only saw two other spaghetti dishes available as other entree options. As with most Italian food spots meals are carb heavy for vegetarians and not as filling. Ambiance was upscale but service was very slow the day we went. Our food and check took a while to come out. Total meal time was more than two hours. I don't think I would visit again due to limited vegetarian food options and high price point.

I want to preface that I have worked a server job before, so I can understand the struggles of these servers during the HH rush on top of the Houston heat. Marmo only offers HH 3pm-6pm on their bar and patio, with their indoor bar and shaded patio filling up quick, my party got sat in the sun, but we were willing to sit out there. The hostess, and I believe general manager, Amanda was super sweet, friendly, and chatted with us while she found us a table. However, my server (I didn't catch his name) was not the most pleasant. Upon greeting us he never smiled once and just seemed to have a very impatient and condescending attitude. Okay strike 1, but I kept that to myself, and then he continued to explained the menu and grabbed our waters. When he came back to grab our orders, we had questions about how the drinks work, but he just continued his attitude, and honestly the comments were unnecessary. When asking about the cocktails, he said "I mean I can't stand here and list all the cocktails", ... okayyy... and then we put in our food order and still with no smile, "Oh, I thought y'all said y'all were hungry". It was just super shady and uncomfortable. I understand it's tough with it being a usual upscale restaurant and people coming in for the "cheap" HH, which decrease his opportunity for higher tips, but he could have just been friendly -- that's basic hospitality. Anyways, the food came out, and while presentation was super cute and aesthetic, the food was just mid. The meatballs, in my opinion, were too lean and dry. The vodka rigatoni was al dente and probably my favorite dish. The white fish was great, but the potato chips looked borderline burnt. At first, I thought this was just my experience, but my friend went the next day and got served by another server, but had the same experience with her party. She said that their server was extremely rude and condescending, barely giving them attention and it was to the point where it made the whole experience unenjoyable. I really wanted to enjoy this place more, and I honestly had a great time with my friends, but the service was just a major con. I hope that marmo can do better and hire servers that actually enjoy their job and helping people. I hope it gets better, but for now I won't be visiting anytime soon. read more
Checked out the very raved about happy hour and overall it was a chaotic experience. The food was good which redeemed the situation. The vodka rigatoni and meatballs were standouts, polenta fries and Caesar salad were also good. The tuna tartar was good but tiny and not worth the $15 price at all. They only do HH in the bar/lounge and outside, and they only had room left outside when we came. It was unbearably hot and they don't have anything set up to shade you from the sun. Definitely not ideal for the summer. The servers were also quite confused and brought us over food meant for different tables several times. Overall would maybe go back but in the late fall lol read more

The restaurant is a beautiful and amazing restaurant with stellar vibes. The menu is huge and easy to read. Service was pretty good too. You get complementary bread, which unsure if you get more than just one small slice. The calamari was very interesting and had a good taste. The charcuterie board was good. The main dishes did take a while for it to come out to our table. The squid ink pasta was absolutely amazing. However, the lobster pasta was lackluster. We came for an anniversary date and was also seated next to another couple who was celebrating their anniversary and at the end of the couples meal, they were offered a complementary dessert on the house. For me on the other hand did not receive anything at all. Not sure if I would come back. read more

The ambience was a nice calm dinner vibe. I loved the Aesthetics in the restaurant. The food was good, but would prefer the whole menu and not a fixed menu and the service was great, but I wish the bread was put on the table and not walked around with with the cheese. read more

Great happy hour prices for wine & cute little appetizers but definitely more like tapas for size.. yummy squid ink pasta and breaded chicken preferred for all protein add ons.. charcuterie board on happy hour was underwhelming but overall was good for the vibes and atmosphere. read more
Marmo might be in my top 5 restaurants of all time. I finally made it to happy hour today and sat on the patio for the first time and I mean it was a dream!!! The portions are small but the perfect bite and the cocktails were only $10??? I got the bolognese because ofc you have to. The meatballs which were my first time trying and sooooooo good and the cesear which is just yess. Plus two manhattans and my bill was $41. I mean hell yeah!!! And Marmo is a place where I often go with a bill of like $150 for just me. So like I'm in love. I just wish they would bring back my gnocchi dish from my first review read more

Marmo delivers a modern, sophisticated vibe with incredible food. The beef tartare with Calabrian peppers was perfectly balanced. My cacio e pepe with guanciale echoed carbonara in the best way. My wife's squid ink pasta was rich, unique, and absolutely rave-worthy. A fantastic dining experience all around. read more

Saw this place on IG and decided to give it a try. My friend and I loved everything about this restaurant. Our water, Jorge, was too notch! He gave great recommendations and was as friendly as can be! We sat and ordered a glass of Chianti as we browsed the menu. We were quickly graced with delicious bread and whipped butter. It was hard to say no to seconds, but I wanted to enjoy everything we were about to order. We started with the crispy polenta and OMG was it tasty! Next, we ordered the carrot salad which was also full of flavor. For our main dish we ordered the chicken Marsala over freshly made rigatoni. I had lunch today at Marmo. I've been before, but never for dinner, and I've heard the evening atmosphere is fantastic. Speaking of lunch though, let me say this is a great option if you're in or near the Montrose area. The restaurant is beautifully designed with lots of natural light and offers a can't-miss Italian-American menu. Dishes are beautifully presented and wonderfully executed, all enhanced by charismatic service. I've tried several items from their menu, but what stands out most to me is the way they handle seafood. Perfectly cooked. I usually ask for any sauce on the side when ordering fish, just in case, and with the Red Snapper, both the fish and the sauce (which I tried but didn't use) were outstanding. If you're looking for another solid option, the octopus is impeccable. I haven't made it to dessert yet, but I'm sure they'll be just as impressive -- looking forward to it next time. Ambiance, service, speed, and quality all come together in this beautiful space for a truly enjoyable experience. Excellent Hoy almorcé en Marmo. He probado varias cosas del menú, pero quizá lo que más destaco es la forma en que preparan los pescados. Perfectamente cocinados. Yo tengo por costumbre pedir la salsa aparte cuando ordeno pescado, y en el caso del Red Snapper, tanto el pescado como la salsa (que probé pero no usé) estaban espectaculares. First time at Marmo and everything was good for the most part. I got there around 5pm on a Sunday to meet up with my friend and her partner. Parking was easy (valet is complimentary) and I walked right in. I stopped at the host stand and let them know I was meeting friends, hoping they would guide me through the restaurant to find them but all three of them at the stand sort of just starred at me in what I'm gathering was a state of confusion. I had to peak around the host stand, to the back of the restaurant, where I spotted them. As I sat, the waiter came over and provided me with a menu. I immediately knew I was going to order the red fish and for a drink, they were able to make me a mocktail (forgot the name). As we waited for our food and chatted a bit, I was able to take in the ambiance of the restaurant which was really warm, yet classy. It's not a huge space but there's seating at the bar, several high tops around the bar and a dining area that could maybe fit 50+. The outside patio is rather large and a great option for when the weather isn't blazing. Our food came quickly but the drinks were slow to come out for some reason. I know the bar area was quite busy because of happy hour so that could have been it. The red fish was not a filet but the whole fish and it was huge. Delicious nonetheless and filled me up. We also got desserts (tiramisu and the chocolate cake) but they messed up my order and had to make me another one. That also took a long time to come out but it was great. Marmo was the first stop on my Montrose collective happy hour tour, and it did not disappoint! The value was great! The only thing I would not recommend is the Caesar salad. I love salads but this one was greatly lacking flavor. Happy Hour is only in the bar area and on the patio so choose wisely. I was reminder that they do not take happy hour reservations so select patio or bar area when making your reservation if you want to secure a spot. Sun started to creep in later in the evening but for the most part pretty shaded with fans. Located in the Montrose collective so you have the valet fight to deal with but at least it's free! Pro tip-- send someone to get the car while someone else pays. Also NOT free parking in the garage if you prefer. Will be back for happy hour with a plan to try a few regular menu items in the future. read more
I am OBSESSED with this place!! I went for happy hour with my friend the other day and it was amazing. I love the incredibly low prices for happy hour as well as the ambiance. It's a very cute spot especially for catching up with friends or a date night! Our server was great too, was constantly coming over to fill up whatever when needed and also was good about asking if we needed things and checking in every now and then. They had the perfect balance of checking in but giving space so it wasn't too much! Now to the food. The food was phenomenal. I tried the rigatoni alla vodka and I think it's the best vodka pasta I've had. And it was only $5!! One portion was enough for a casual catching up hangout, and it's so affordable if you want to get more! The drinks were also good, I just got a classic vodka cran as I'm not big on wine, and my friend got some wine. It's only $6 for a decently sized glass of wine! There are so many other options as well and it's so worth it!! read more

I came here for happy hour for the first time. The red wine was a great pair. I ordered the meatballs, they were good but cold. My ceasar salad was good, typically can't go wrong. I personally could have gone without the charcuterie board, not my favorite of the day. Remember this is happy hour and all portions are small. The food was great, my favorite from the night was the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The steak tasted good as well but for $88, I was expecting more. The service was very attentive and the servers were very familiar with the menu. The only negative was that we were constantly asked "another drink?" and our glasses of water were empty at times. I understand that money is made with wine and cocktails but it was borderline pushy. If you're looking to celebrate a special day at an upscale Italian restaurant, this is a good choice. read more

Decided to give Marmo a try for HRW. The restaurant is nestled in a shopping plaza so a nice way to window shop either before or after your meal. We sat outside which was a nice e change and the staff are nice and accommodating. We decided to go with the HRW menu with starters of the Tuscan fried chicken with aioli and tuna cannolis. The chicken was seasoned well and crispy. I felt that the tuna cannoli was an interesting twist but not one I was a huge fan of. The tuna was quite chewy without much flavor and was quite a different texture from the crispy cannoli. For our main dishes, we ordered the flat iron consisting of steak and broccolini which was cooked nicely. We also ordered the bolognese that had decent pieces of ground meat garnished on top with a creamy sauce that was overbearing for me. Lastly, we ordered tirimisu and the lemon cake for dessert. The dessert portions were quite large, but the tirimisu had a stronger rum taste than what I preferred. The lemon cake was tangy and not too sweet with a pairing of sorbet on top. Overall, a nice dinner experience and glad to have tried different types of dishes and loved the environment of the restaurant. read more

this is the place to be for happy hour!! i ordered : the ceasar salad pasta white fish rilette and bubbles, duh the service was great and very hospitable. i sat outside for people watching. on a sunday it was bustling during happy hour. the only complaint i have, is the amount of chips they give with the rilette. i know 3 chips is cute.. but definitely not practical the server was kind and brought extras. the food was top tier and definitely a place i can add to my rotation ! hope you guys check it out! bonne appétit read more
This spot is fancy yet fun. Perfect for date nights or a bite before a night on the town. At least on Friday nights there is a pianist playing all the hits from past decades to current. You can hear these tunes from any seat in the restaurant or you can post up next to the beautifully fully stocked bar The layout of the restaurant is truly unique. The tables a elegantly decorated, there are obvious sections and books to the restaurant, but it all flows together beautifully with a semi open concept The staff was very professional from the hostess, the food runners, the bread basket attendant, to the server. Our server was incredible. She not only made great suggestions, but explained why they worked well together and gave options The menu is not overwhelming, but is definitely intriguing. There are a variety of entree to small plate options, and everything is beautifully plated Some tips: Order a number of smaller portion meals (they have small vs large portions), and share it family style. The restaurant is extremely loud during peak hours and it's hard to hear each other. Ask for a table outside of the weather is nice or maybe a table towards the back. I love the atmosphere for sure, the server was really great. And I will say just viewing the wait staff they all seemed to love their jobs and be happy. But the food is extremely salty (I'm an Italian from NY) and the pasta sauce was very very salty. We didn't even eat it. Visited on a Saturday evening with reservations. Quickly seated. I liked that the managers visited our table and others throughout the evening to check on our experience. Great service and great food. The Atlas group has several restaurants in Baltimore and I've visited Tagliatelle in Baltimore and the food experience was amazing. Marmo had a similar menu and the cuisine was great! We sat on the front patio and was able to hear the live music inside which was very nice. We ordered smaller pasta dishes which were the perfect size and were full of flavor (the lobster pasta is spicy!). $$ There is valet and paid street parking. read more
This is my second time trying Marmos and they aren't too bad! I got the vodka penne pasta and the chicken Parmesan. Vodka pasta was delicious but the chicken parm (not shown here) wasn't the greatest. The chicken was kind of burnt and the pasta was too al dente. It was nothing special. The fried chicken was super oily and very tiny. They also gave me my Cesar salad an hour late. Not an entirely bad experience, but not my favorite. read more

Marmo has a laid-back, California vibe that I loved! I grabbed a seat at the bar, and Alex provided exceptional service throughout. The Italian dishes were delicious--we sampled nearly everything on the happy hour menu. Happy hour runs daily from 3 to 6 PM, and it's definitely worth checking out. First time visitors and we left satisfied. I somehow walked past Marmo a couple times without noticing it in the past and it wasn't until I saw an Instagram post about their happy hour that it was on my radar. But it looks like we couldn't wait for happy hour because we stopped by on Sunday for a very late dinner. The doors opened and we were greeted with some lovely jazzy piano music. The ambiance is a nice blend of modern and cozy with Edison style bulbs and marble counters mixed with warm rattan pendant lights and draped curtains. We had a nice table for two along the window curve. My lone gripe was that the restroom, gender neutral, was not clean but I'll blame that on whoever was in there before me. We loved our server Andre. He knew the menu forwards and backwards and provided exceptional service. I didn't realize Marmo was part of a Baltimore based restaurant group called Atlas, and their sister restaurants in Houston are Loch Bar and Azumi. We've tried Loch Bar but we'll have to put Azumi on the list! For drinks, we ordered a glass of cabernet and a cantare cocktail with a bottle of sparkling water. I was expecting the cantare's cantaloupe and honey to make it sweeter than it was, but it tasted more like a standard margarita and was served in a salt rimmed glass. Andre started us with squares of focaccia with a crumbled cheese before we decided on a half order of both spaghetti and squid ink campanelle as well as scallops and an off menu 6 oz skirt steak. The steak option we originally wanted was not available and I noticed that it isn't listed on the online menus either, although interestingly there is an 8 oz wagyu skirt steak on the online menu that is a lower price point than the 6 oz. Now onto what we're all here for: Blue crab squid ink campanelle with uni cream sauce ($28 half order)- 10/10. Elevated comfort food in the best way. The campanelle was fresh and perfectly al dente. The uni sauce was creamy and had the right amount of chili to give it a kick. The sprouts and toasted breadcrumbs on top provided some needed colors and texture respectively. I was surprised by the generous amount of blue crab meat and the half order was a substantial enough portion for one person. It was an excellent recommendation from Andre and our favorite dish! Spaghetti alla chitarra ($10 half order)- 7/10. The spaghetti had good texture and the flavors were simple and clean. It was a nice counter balance to the more complex flavor profile of the campanelle. Scallops with 'nduja, watermelon relish, corn puree, and semolina cracker ($42)- 9/10. There wasn't a sear on the scallops but they were tender and plentiful with four decently sized scallops in total. The overall taste of the dish was refreshingly sweet and slightly savory and salty. The watermelon relish and corn puree added sweetness and very nice variations in texture. I couldn't tell you with certainty where the 'nduja pork sausage was in the dish but I'm guessing it was in the spread under the scallops. Regardless, it didn't have a strong flavor and let the scallops be the main attraction. Does anyone remember the scene in Ratatouille when the critic takes a bite of ratatouille and is instantly transported to a memory of a different place? These scallops did that for me. It would've been a 10 if they had a sear. 6 oz mystery skirt steak (~$55)- 6/10. Our mystery meat was our least favorite dish of the night. It had nice marbling and was served a la carte save for a roasted garlic bulb and half lemon. It was by no means bad, but the campanelle set a high bar, and we ultimately thought the skirt steak was underwhelming for the price point. I absolutely would come back to Marmo for dinner. The only question would be whether I'm ordering the campenelle and scallops again or branching out to try something new. According to Andre, the menu rotates some of its offerings seasonally so I'll be on the lookout at my next visit! read more
Stopped in to celebrate my Fiancée's promotion while we were back home for a friend's engagement. He is very particular about his steak and he was so impressed with the flavor, the tenderness! He got a side of the great Smashed potatoes with truffle and herbs. Adding some sour cream was the icing on the cake ! I end up ordering from their Easter weekend menu, the Short Rib dish. I can't even express how great it was! They actually stay open pretty late. An if you haven't noticed I love live music so them having a live pianist in the front room was nice. Our lovely server helped us celebrate with a glass of champagne to finish our night as we were wayyy too stuffed for dessert. Great date night or just night out with some friends as they have outside seating, bar seating and more intimate tables. read more

Overall, this place is really cute. Dropped in for happy hour which they offer happy hour every day 3 to 6 PM bar or patio. Their portions for happy hour are very tiny, which is fine since I'm one person. The Tuscan fried chicken was fine. The batter was very crispy, but it was also soggy at the same time. Also, it came out cold. I think the chicken might be dark meat at least what I had and I hate dark meat, which probably took away from my experience. The polenta fries have a unique texture so don't expect it to taste like a french fry. They were also pretty good but again not hot when they came out. So apparently the menu changes occasionally so I initially ordered the Pannacotta however, when it came out, it was slathered with blueberries on top. I don't like blueberries, and I didn't know it was going to come with them. I just went on pictures that I saw online. I did send it back, but they did say they could remove the blueberry and once they did, I cleaned my entire plate. It was so delicious. read more
Came on a pretty busy Saturday at 9 PM and closed the restaurant down with friends. Love the live music. Caesar Salad and mushrooms were okay. Would recommend squid, ceviche/tartar whatever it was, cowboy steak with chimichurri, potatoes, and broccolini. read more

The atmosphere at Marmo is superb. We really enjoyed the whole experience. The service was great and it was nice that there was a parking garage for convenience. The bruschetta was excellent and the pasta as well. Definitely enjoyed it as a place for a nicer date or a place to celebrate. read more

Long time return but this place still checks all the boxes for high end Italian in the city. Squid pasta 10/10. Bolognese 10/10. Carrot and beet salad 10/10. Service on point ambiance eloquent even at lunch. Deserts are also really really good read more

Nestled at the front of the Montrose Collective, I visited Marmo on a Wednesday evening for Happy Hour (daily 3-6pm) and were seated at the bar, as the happy hour menu is only available at the bar, lounge, and patio. Would've loved to be seated in the main dining area, as the interior of this place is gorgeous! I ordered the Polpette (classic meatballs, tomato sauce, whipped ricotta) and Rigatoni alla vodka (tomato cream sauce, parmigiano reggiano) - a full meal for only $5 each! While I loved the interior and happy hour deals Marmo offers, the food was too salty and overall unimpressive. I would be amenable to coming back and giving their $8 happy hour cocktails and other happy hour foods a chance and hope to be seated at the lounge or patio this time! read more
