Laid back, family friendly, BBQ place in a humble shopping center. Stepping into this restaurant takes you back about 30-40 years, which is very relaxing for a reason I can't explain. Tasty BQQ with yummy sides at good prices. Friendly staff.

The food is pretty good for Texas BBQ in the DFW area. The servers were very friendly even though we showed up a few minutes before closing which I am thankful for since I had just arrived from Alaska. It was pretty quiet especially since me and my mother were the only ones there

Working on the houses in front decided to eat this since its close by. And yea it wasnt a good idea the brisket was so dry and flavorless. Sauce was ok but idk i wont come back for brisket sandwhich.

My family and I have been coming here as long as I can remember! Best barbecue in Dallas. Hard Eight has nothing NOTHING on Marshall's. Best Jalapeño sausage, best brisket, best iced tea, and home cooked banana pudding. My grandfather loved this place so much he wanted it at his wake. Truly an amazing spot full of memories.

We used Yelp to find Marshall's BBQ. The reviews made it seem iffy. We went on a Sunday around 11:30a. There was only one other table which made us feel a little nervous, but the restaurant was clean and smelled wonderful!! It was reasonably priced for the amount of food they served per plate. The Sunday special is a free fried pie with a plate. The boys loved that! Our 10yr old son that isn't a good eater had 2 of the chicken sliders and loved the peach cobbler. Our 6 yr old son that literally has a Gtube bc he is not a good eater, ate his calories with a little chicken, some Mac and cheese, corn but he loved the bread the most!! We would recommend Marshall's BBQ. By the time we left a little after 12, half of the restaurant was full. So we had just gotten lucky to beat the rush!

2 meat combo - Brisket is thinner than paper and looks like 1 slice cut into 5 pcs. Ribs are 1full rib cut in half with one small piece.

My peeps (no & no). It's just ok and very bland. You have to season the meat with Lawry's or Salt to enjoy it. If you order a 2 meat combo order 2 lol. The portions were very skimpy and I've never seen brisket sliced as thin as paper. Ribs were 3 pieces that was 1 rib cut in half and the other was 1/3. Brisket came in 5 pieces - 1 full slice of brisket thin as paper cut into 3 and a 1/3rd piece. The best part about my visit is the cashier with the glasses. His energy & vibe is amazing. He nails customer service! The bbq sauce is the bomb & this place is spotless when it comes to cleanliness. I would not recommend unless your desperate. It's equivalent to a Luby's in the bbq area. If you're look for seasoned & smoke flavored meat keep driving.

Pretty quiet place with decently priced food. The peach cobbler was delicious and the ribs were good. However, the sides were a little bland.

We enjoyed good BBQ meats. The sides (a full ear of corn and toasted bread) made this restaurant better than other local restaurants.

After getting inside I could tell why. The BBQ smell hits you as you open the door and it smelled sooooo good. They had a giant menu written onto the wall. Some of the meats were sold out. We debated for a bit and then decided to do a group order. Our Group of 7 people ordered the Cattleleack Platter and sides of burnt end beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and Mac and cheese. Oh and don't forget to ask for cornbread too. Inside tey had large tables and benches to sit at and we secured our spot. The food was delicous. The Beef Rib was huge and melted in my mouth. The brisket was amazing and seasoned well. Everything tasted great. Everyone ate til they were full and we still had leftovers. I ate them later at night and they were still good. This place is pricey, definitely worth a visit.

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.

Even when we weren't sure about which appetizers we wanted she allowed us to split appetizers- a small portion where we got to try the apps. We tried the tenderloin crostini which was delicious. Along with coconut shrimp. The shrimp were ginormous. And the sauces were so good. Our fav was the mango marmalade. The best bread I have ever had in my life!!!! You know how sometimes they bring a roll to the table for the table to share? Not here boyeeeee Each person gets their own roll. I don't even know how to explain this heavenly bread. It truly is the best beard I have ever had before. I would come eat here again JUST FOR THE BREAD. The crab cake is out of this world. Huge jumbo clumps. Also comes with a variety of sauces. The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. The asparagus is huge!!! Oh the best finisher ever- the peanut butter pie!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a dessert girl and I couldn't stop eating it.
